   Honestly, I got here to make a little extra cash. Everything was going great until the app doesn’t let me get insta pay, I contacted Stripe who told me to contact Wag! I’ve been waiting WEEKS and no update on my account. THEN I go and “walk” this dog that was definitely not friendly and I stayed there to try and get the dog to walk with me, their cat was LITERALLY trying to attack me. I told Wag! about this issue and they just said, “since you didn’t complete the service you’re getting deducted all the pay amount and only getting $5” ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I stayed there to try to convince the dog to go for a walk while the cat was cornering me and you decided to take all my pay and only give me $5. They don’t care about the walker at ALL!! Even when you cancel a service they request a 12hr notice, like what??! the pet parent just put up the walk service 20min ago for a walk that’s in 8hrs and you want me to give you a 12hr notice ??? Pet parents can cancel all the time without notice but we can’t cancel without getting penalized, and can’t get more services for 24hrs? DONT GET ME STARTED WITH THEIR TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Literally had to say I had an emergency to get someone to talk to about a small issue. Definitely they need to upgrade so many things on this app and care more about us! They say “we’ll it’s your business, you do what you gotta do” ?? They just don’t care about us care givers. Fix your issues Wag! multiple people say the same thing and nothing has changed.

2. 5/5Great side gig for dog lovers!

   I really love walking for Wag. This app works well and is easy to use. It used to be a bit buggy but I haven’t had any problems in months. I like features like direct booking and how you can get badges from pet parents and earn statuses like “in demand”. I have had to call support several times for various things, and they are always super friendly and helpful. I really appreciate them. Wag does take a big cut but you can still do well if you do it right. The flexibility of picking up walks through the app is worth what they take to me. If the developers read this I just have a couple of suggestions. (1) there is a bug where pet parents can book two walks for the same dog at the same time leading it to being double booked. This can be frustrating to drive to a walk and find out it was double booked and get cancelled. Seems like there should be a way to prevent that. (2) I wish you could see the Walker Tips before taking a walk. Sometimes pet parents don’t put any info on the profile so you may see an intimidating dog who you would actually find out is a sweetie. Or you may find out a dog is quite a challenge and it is good to know ahead of time. (3) For the Walker Tips section, I also wish these could show the date when the tip was left. Sometimes the owner has moved so information is different, or even their dogs have changed. Thank you Wag! I truly enjoy this app and appreciate the opportunity to walk dogs and explore the city in such a flexible way that I can build around my schedule. Y’all are the best!

   I have been a dog walker for Wag! for almost two years now. If I didn’t love dogs as much as I do, I would have left a long time ago because of their app. Currently, a problem I’m having is that canceled walks still appear on my ‘Booked’ tab. When I try to delete them, the next time I log into the app, there they are again. This is a real pain when a client has booked way in advance and then something changes on their end. I currently have 49 on my page. I’ve contacted Wag! support, jumped through all the hoops to try to fix it. Nobody on their tech team can figure it out. Another problem that I’ve brought up is that when I first log into the app and check my earnings, the page won’t load until I TURN OFF MY PHONE and turn it back on again! Very frustrating. When doing a Drop In visit, the app doesn’t show how much time is LEFT for your visit. I have to set the timer on my phone for that. Add to all this the fact that if you have to contact them LIVE for a situation, there is nobody to answer unless it’s an emergency (injury, pet got loose, etc). Anything besides that, you’re pretty much on your own. I could go on, but I’m sure y’all catch my drift. I love the dogs. Hate the app.

   I have been doing Wag! Walks on and off for a few years now and I have no complaints or issues. I love all the pups I’ve walked and continue to find pups who’s mum/dad makes me a preferred walker. From time to time pet parents will put up an ASAP walk or drop in and it will say “Preferred Walker”, and I’ll be able to do that walk or drop in but not at that very second because I’m a ways away or I’m in the middle of another walk/drop in. I’ll request the service and message their parent and the message is usually something like this “Hi, I can come for (pups name) but it would be closer to 10, if that works for you.” I’ve never had one of my pet parents say no that doesn’t work, and sometimes they can’t edit the time request for the service from 8 to 10 for example. So I have to say I’m on my way then select other and put 60 minutes then edit my ETA multiple times if the time agreed on is more than 60 minutes from the current time because the system doesn’t allow you to enter a time like 120 minutes. So it’s not surprise that I’ve run across this several times which is why I make this suggestion. My suggestion is that as walkers we should either be able to enter a three digit number of minutes (i.e 120) or after the request is made and confirmed we can edit the time from whatever the parents put to what the agreed upon time is (i.e 8am to 10am).

5. 4/5I make a ton of money on this app

   I have been using Wag! for two years now. I have a steady amount of clients often. No shortage of work for me. I can pick and choose my own hours. There are some issues with the app. The homepage should really refresh itself. I’m constantly having to pull down to refresh. The options on the sitting should remove pet not be left alone for more than 4 hours. A sitting is supposed to be three 20 minute visits. If your pet needs more time than that then there should be a deluxe sitting. I’m in and out in the allotted time but you can’t do much in 20 minutes. Peoples expectations and the money offered is not fiscally sound. I stopped taking sittings for this reason. There are 24 hours in a day. If your pet is not to be left alone for more than 4 hours that is way more visits than is being paid. The customer should have no choice but to fill out completely the info of the dog. Including if they would prefer a male or female. Most of the issues with using this app lie with the customer. Some don’t tip and then put you on their preferred list. I’m sorry but if I walk your dog once and you don’t tip I won’t be returning. Also there needs to be away to access these apartments without going to a concierge. If I have to go to the concierge. Most times they are out running around the building. I have often had to wait more than 30 minutes to get my ID back. Those are the places that I never return. Time is money and if you waste it I won’t return. Overall a good app but you have some terrible walkers that really don’t put in the work. I have close to 900 five star reviews.
