   Please remove the “Safari Extension” button or locate somewhere else. This button covers the top portion of the webpage when using covenant eyes browser, not allowing use of most webpages menu or top page options. There are things you can do to get access to them, but it’s really just a nuisance for users like myself that don’t want to use Safari. I would also like to see a feature to manually select to hide the bottom bar (the bar with the back button, forward button, add webpage, etc.) because on some webpages it doesn’t go away and you can’t access buttons to complete actions. ie. Adding filters/sorting features on a web search. There is usually any update/continue/done button that is hidden under the bottom bar. Maybe add an “options” button next to the URL box to move/add these features into? Other than missing some use customization as noted above. This app is perfect for anyone struggling with sexual addiction, wanting to overcome pornography, or even just some added protection for the family and children to have a glimpse into what they’re viewing, or to protect them from viewing things they shouldn’t be. Highly recommended for anyone that is seeking a “pure mind” specifically freedom over sobriety from sexually acting out. This is a great tool to add to your tool box of recovery.

2. 5/5Purity and trust are worth every expense

   I’ve been on a long journey of fighting porn addiction. I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs, but one of the biggest game-changers in this ordeal has been downloading covenant eyes. I’ve now had Covenant Eyes installed on my laptop and phone for over a year and a half, and I can’t imagine walking in purity without it. Thanks to this service, the support of my friends and wife, and the Grace of God, I’ve been clean for over a year now. This service isn’t perfect, but it’s so much better than just keeping an unrestricted browser and expecting yourself to deny any temptations. I once heard a man criticize the commonly thrown around phrase “struggling with porn.” He responded to it by asking “well, what are you doing to struggle?” If you don’t change any of your habits or restrain your access to porn, then you’re not struggling at all. You’re really just rolling over and letting it win. One of the most important steps is getting in the game and fighting to win. Covenant eyes is helping me win, and I’m very grateful to have this resource on my side.

3. 1/5Phone is unusable unless browser is open in background

   So with the recent update that uses a VPN to track everything on the phone, I thought “what a great idea”. It was just another way to keep everyone more accountable. Well my happiness was quickly turned into sadness when I could not longer text, use my apps, or call people. Yes for a whole day my phone was completely useless. The only app that worked was the Covenant Eyes app. (I am the type of person that closes an app out, once I’m finished using it. I don’t like to have a bunch of apps running in the background) So at one point I didn’t close out Covenant Eyes and I let it stay open in the background. It was at this point I started to receive texts that hadn’t been coming through, and I noticed that my other apps started working. Basically the VPN connected to Covenant Eyes blocks my phone from connecting to my cellular network unless I keep the browser app open at all times. This is not okay!!!!! On top of all of that, the app is buggy. It constantly asks me to sign in, it constantly deletes all of my open tabs, and it constantly crashes. Sometimes it crashes and I don’t realize it and then if people have been texting me, I don’t receive anything. This app has really become a problem. The use of a VPN was a great idea, but it has never been perfected. It’s almost like they released it without testing it first. If they don’t fix this soon, I’m going to have to cancel my subscription.

4. 1/5Worthless waste of money and your hopes and dreams

   What this app needs to be is a VPN that blocks ALL forms of anything that is even remotely suggestive across ALL apps across your WHOLE phone without preventing you from being able to use your apps and without bugs, but all this trash app does is force you to use safari which is also trash, (probably the same company which would explain why they’re so terrible) and force you to delete all other apps and completely block you out of certain websites that you should be able to still use if you wanted to, there’s gotta be a way to make a software that can just blur out or black out anything you don’t want to see that can have a feature where you’re accountability partner has to be the one to disable it. But I guess that’s too hard. The way it is now there’s way too many ways to get around it to still see stuff that’s maybe not full on p*** but still bad and when someone has had a habit for so long and try to break it they have to be completely cut off or they’ll keep trying to get their fix and you shouldn’t have to cripple yourself by completely giving up all internet to get over it, some people have to be able to use it for work. The only reason I don’t get rid of this app is I don’t want to disappoint my accountability partner but I’m leaning towards getting rid of it anyway unless you make some MAJOR changes.

5. 1/5New update poor VPN Connect Time

   Great app, but since this most recent update, your VPN has nonstop turned on and off while I’m using any kind of internet, even as I write this review. Love your app, but cannot continue to use it in this case. It’s not a wifi issue because it happens on my phone all day no matter where I am, even if using maps to get to a destination or listen to music. In some ways this does limit my time on the internet (lol) but if I’m trying to simply do normal functions it’s not working. This has happened for about a week. I’ve tried deleting this app then redownloading and turning my phone on and off. I turned off the VPN and also the “Connect On Demand” button a dozen times but it will still try to connect on demand and then turn itself off, then to turn itself on again. Intervals are anywhere between 2 and 5 seconds, and makes my load times on my phone about a 1/3 as long. Will give this a 5 star review once it’s fixed, but as of now I hope to get your attention regarding this. I’d rather not keep the app deleted until you fix it because its functions are a boundary I like having up when they do work. Thank you for all you do, this is a wonderful device, and although my internet has been slightly slower since I became a subscriber, it’s well worth it (I know you will remedy this issue soon as well!)
