5/5The breath I didn’t know I needed
The pause app has been so relaxing and refreshing for my body and soul. I’ve followed Wild at Heart ministry for years and thought I would check this out because the Eldredge’s recommended it. I first thought the short pauses were nice and helped me to stop and pause to reset my focus on the Lord reminding me that I can turn everything and everyone over to the Lord if I so choose. Then they came out with the 30 Days to Resilient sessions within the app, and I initially hesitated to try it because I didn’t read the book Resilient so I thought I would be missing some components. This was not the case at all! I’ve found that the 30 Days component of the app has been a great way to start and end my day with the Lord. I want to go trough this 30 days again and again. They lead you through healthy patterns of thinking to see yourself as the Lord sees you and to see the world as Jesus does reminding us that’s He’s within us at all times with flourishing life! It’s so worth your time! In fact when I make time to start my day with it I have a clearer sense of everything else because I’m in alignment with how to perceive everything. I’ve already shared this app with several other believers and I want to share it with everyone I know! It reminds of the Garden of Eden when Genesis speaks of Adam walking with God in the cool of the day. This is it, this is a guide to help you slow down in the morning and evening to walk with God for clarity and peace that only He can provide.

5/5SO Helpful
Wild at Heart Team, thank you so much! The pause app, 30 days to Resilient and Experiencing Jesus has been such a blessing in my life and has helped me be in union with God through all the craziness of life. I vividly remember one of the first times I used the pause app and it was in such a critical moment, moments after our church burned down, I went across the valley and pulled over on the side of the road and listened to the pause app, and it helped me to breathe, help me to feel Jesus in that moment, and I am so grateful. And many times when I can’t get my mind to settle and go to sleep, I listen to one of the opportunities provided on the app; it helps me give everyone and everything to Jesus and have union with God, allowing my big God to hold everything while I get a reprieve while also experiencing His peace and His presence…and then I can usually fall asleep. And this morning when I listened and spoke out my declarations, it was just what I needed. God is what we need. And this app and this ministry has been a blessing and a help for me walking in more of the life to the full that God intended for us.

4/5Excellent start and finish to your day
I was aware I needed a structured yet doable end and beginning to each day to give my day’s struggles to God and to start my day centered on God. It absolutely had to include prayer and scripture. This fit my need exactly. No amount of self-help will stand the test of time that being deeply in union with Christ will accomplish. Great job Mr. Eldredge. I appreciate that you can’t just skip ahead in the app. You have to finish each day’s meditation to progress to the next. It gets deep, but you get plenty of warming up. I felt it was what I needed to shed off the pain and suffering of the last few years. Jesus alone gets my pain and He is the best counselor. So glad this app gave me structure to get there. A Note: I fully disagree with us being “amphibians”. I understand the metaphor but it’s a dangerous one in these days where eroding the Creation story is manifest everywhere. So I had to actively look past that part which detracted a little. I was glad a friend gave me heads up on that. Would love an explanation as to why that was included in such a beautiful program. It raises serious questions for me. Because it was repeated so often, I couldn’t give 5 stars. I will restart the app and see if that becomes too much of an obstacle for me. Overall very happy with the app!

4/5Time to Reflect
I absolutely love this app. Love what John Eldridge talks about, how he talks about it, and ultimately just the amazing tool I’ve been gifted in order to seek a deeper relationship with God. My mother and I even listen to the podcast “Wild at Heart” which is a masterpiece all its own. That being said, there is one thing I would like to comment upon that I find a bit difficult: In the beginning of the short audio clips, we’re given time to “think” or “take a moment” around various beautiful topics involving Christ and ourselves. But quite often I find that before I can truly begin to settle into these thoughts, John begins to say something to help us get further into that mindset. I am a slower processor, and would love it if there was some way to change that length of time that I get to reflect. Like a little slider bar that would increase or decrease the duration of the ambient noise before he begins talking again/praying/etc. That way I could really settle into my thoughts and be prepared to continue with the pause session! Again, love the app. Thank you guys for all the hard work you’ve put in. May Christ continue to work through you as His love and peace constantly shift our mindsets towards Him.

5/5Intimacy
Intimacy is a confusing topic for me. Intimacy in my life was always connected with physical intimacy and the lines in my head were so blurred and confused that I feared intimacy with God. Not trusting anyone because of deep hurts from the past complicated things even more. Trusting God was always conditional, and always on my terms. Intimacy with God was unattainable. I am learning that physical intimacy is designed to be an outward manifestation of deeper connection and it’s all based on a foundation of trust; something I gave up on long ago. But Our Father in His wonderful gentle way has been teaching me what trust is and what true intimacy is. Practice makes progress. It felt weird in the beginning. Wrong even. The process is gentle and simple- so simple you might think it won’t have the power to overcome pain and fear. It leads you to trust Jesus. Really trust Him. Freedom. Everything and everyone I give to you God. I love you Jesus. I really love you! Thank you for helping me to receive His gifts that were always available for me, but I never trusted Him enough to receive them. Much love, Alan Tulare, CA.
