1. 5/5Big help from Manager of ADANA Sakirpasa THY

   This review is to express my gratitude to your wonderful staff in Adana. My sister was in a coma at Mersin Toros Hospital, and it was possibly the last time my teenage daughter would see her aunt alive. Unfortunately, her flight was canceled, causing her to miss her connecting flight to the USA from Istanbul. Being a minor, she couldn't travel alone to Istanbul to spend the night at a hotel. Thankfully, your associate Filiz stepped in to reschedule my daughter's flight. She was incredibly kind and empathetic towards our situation. She contacted her manager, Ilker Şıvgın, who went above and beyond by arranging a room for us at the Anemon Hotel in Adana and providing round-trip transportation from the hotel to the airport. My daughter safely made it to Istanbul and then to her final destination in Boston. As I rushed to the hospital after ensuring my daughter's departure, I received the devastating news of my sister's passing. I am profoundly grateful for the support from Ilker Şıvgın and Filiz during this incredibly difficult time. Their help was invaluable.

2. 2/5Seat Selection Issues

   After 5 phone calls with Turkish airlines trying to book my seats from ORD to WDH, three of the five customer service people were very friendly 2 were average. They were all trying to help me and finally on the fifth day of trying to book my seats. I used the automated contact system and sent a picture of what was happening and 15 minutes and I was able to at least pick seats for my first flight. Just as a reference when you’re trying to book your seats you need to add your passengers booking number and his name and go to the next process. It will error out several times, but eventually it worked. The customer service people on the phone were able to pick the seats. I could see them in the app. They would send me to the automated system to enter my credit card information and then when all was said and done, the seat selection showed up in the app and 2 hours later they were gone from the app. They didn’t book the seats nor did it charge my credit card. And we did this process four times. I was able to book the first flights seats finally this morning on my own, which is our longest flight of almost 11 hours so I’m happy about that. The second flight I’m struggling with getting the seats booked, it keeps saying “we cannot do that at this time, try again later”. But the last flight I was able to book our seats for that through the app. It’s a long painful process and calling the customer service, although they were friendly, was not helpful.

3. 1/5Horrible app and website

   The app is pretty useless and the website is not any better. I try to check in online for a flight but it keeps asking me to update my profile first. When I try to update my address in the profile and enter Washington state, where I live, a drop down list is populated among which to choose the city name from and Seattle is not even in the list! There are tiny little towns or even cities that may or may not be in WA state but the largest city of WA, i.e., Seattle is missing. One wonders what kind of database they pull their information from. The planes in your fleet (Boeing) are manufactured in Washington state and you don’t even have the largest city in WA listed! It’s also not possible to type in the city name manually so if it’s not in the drop down list, you’re out of luck and can’t update your profile (this is same regardless of you use the app or website). The app will still let you go through the check in process sometimes without having to update the profile info (hit and miss) but then will error out after entering in all the information. Sometimes you’ll have to complete check-in in the website (if it works) but that also fails most of the time. Even when it says the check-in was completed, it won’t let you download the mobile boarding pass. It’ll just wait and hang without even giving an error. They need to hire some serious/professional app and web developers and user experience team to write both the app and website from scratch. At their current state, one wonders whether these were developed by some THY manager’s teenage kid.

4. 1/5I lost a very important business because cancelled Turkish Airlines flight 1029

   I lost a very important business for distributions and sales representative services, lost cost around 20K because Turkish Airlines just cancelled my flight, the Turkish Airlines flight number 1029 in April the 30th. from US to Bulgaria. After 5 hours spent in the phone calling several times for help we notice that some technical problem was facing T.A. However NO body at Turkish Airlines did care for us and just transferred my calls to different departments but no any real help. My wife and me were forced by the circumstances to accept a new traveling date but we lose 20K and the business anyway. Also we arranged for transportation to the Airport already for the original day and we lost that money too. We had to stay at hotel and spent money until finally get a flight. No body told me sorry for the inconvenience, or ways to be reimbursed or compensated. A rep from Turkish Airlines told me “no sense to claim back for it because Turkish Airlines will give you NO any compensation” to you not anyone. I understand now that there is a normal practice NOT to take care customers. Sorry but you are at your own when doing business with Turkish Airlines. not recommended this airline for you or anyone that look for serious and formal service. Your money in not valuable, not worth at TA. I will not recommend this company nor use anymore.

5. 3/5Confusing error messages and persistent glitches

   I often have a very frustrating experience using the Turkish Airlines app, especially during ticket booking or trying to manage payment methods in the TK wallet. When trying to complete a reservation, the app repeatedly shows technical error codes (for example, backend-style error messages) that are not understandable or useful for an end user. There is no explanation of what the problem is, no guidance on how to fix it, and no clear direction on how to get help. This creates a lot of confusion and wasted time, particularly when booking international flights. In addition, the app has several glitches and inconsistencies. For example, when I only have one flight booked, the app consistently shows two flights after login. If I go into “My Flights” and then return to the main menu, the number suddenly updates back to one, which shows the initial display is incorrect. Overall, the app feels unreliable and poorly polished. Clearer, user-friendly error messages and better quality control would significantly improve the experience. Right now, the app adds stress instead of simplifying travel management.

   Absolute garbage. Terrible unreliable flaky and useless app. Worst airline app I have ever used. Kept on losing my boarding card, eventually on the return flight it would not show the boarding pass at all, which caused me huge problems. Not good enough and not fit for purpose. If there was a zero star rating I would have used that instead.

   booked flight thought I would use the app to stay updated and easy changes etc could not get passed the confirm password not easy to use sorry deleted app.
