  1. 4/5Great app - easy to use

I love the app and would rate it a 5+ if it would allow seeing every frame on camera SVR playback when scrolling. My prior security system allowed this (just like your phone camera does when you are scrolling through a video). If you are looking for something on the saved video, it is awesome to have the frame by frame option. With this app the screen is blank as you scroll. Yes, it has a high speed option up to x16, but that is literally useless when trying to locate something on the saved camera video and you have no clue what day or time it happened. For instance, coming home from being out of town for a week we noticed some sort of critter burrowed under the driveway. So far we have been unable to get a clear view to identify the critter when it comes and goes. If I could scroll frame by frame this would be easy to locate. Please consider adding this change. Thank you.

  2. 1/5Brinks customer service is terrible!

I have tried to get my camera fixed. After 6 attempts to do it remotely I had to demand a tech come out to repair. I was requested to pay up front for the appointment. I requested a call 30 minutes out to allow me to leave work and meet the tech. I was given an appointment 2 weeks out. On appointment day I never received a call until the tech was on my porch setting. My contractor was at the house working and called me at which time I advised I was leaving work now but need 30 minutes to get there. The tech waited for 10 minutes and left reporting me as a no show. I immediately called customer service and was put on hold while they contacted the tech. I was told he was already on another job but would call me shortly. To this day I have never received that call. I called back that evening and was told I need to reschedule for another appointment date. The earliest they had was 3 week out. Seriously 5 weeks to repair their faulty equipment, no concern for the fact that they are a security company and what I pay them for doesn’t work to secure my property. Why would I pay a company when they cannot preform their only service the provide. Now I am feed up and just want to cancel service they tell me I am in an agreement until November 2024. I have had there service since 2016. I have never heard of a 8 year agreement besides they have not secured my property for over a month now but still sucking my money out of my account. Why do I need them!

  3. 1/5Takes advantage of senior citizens

My dad as Alzheimer’s and I know that the salesman could see that because my dad repeats things over and over again. If a salesperson sees that someone forgets and continues to ask the same question, why would they continue to try to make a deal with them. I called my dad to see what he was doing and he says, “this nice man is installing a security system.” I have power of attorney and didn’t know anything about it. So I immediately went over there and my dad didn’t know what was going on and the technician told me that he could tell something wasn’t right. The technician called his boss and the boss said that my brother (who self medicates) said it was okay. No. The salesman doesn’t know what goes on in my family and should never overlook things when they just don’t seem right. After that I has to move my dad to a senior company so he wouldn’t get taken advantage anymore in his house by people who “self medicate” and brinks wants $200 to transfer his account or pay $4000 to get out the contract. This is what people are doing to senior citizens these days. Ridiculous. Not to mention my dad already has ADT! Brinks should have just left it alone and stop the competition that my elderly father now has to pay for.

  4. 1/5One of the worst experience.

All this experience has been really disappointing. From the moment a man knocked on the door my mom (who does not speak much English) tried to recline her offer but the man asked him many things with which my mom did not understand and tried to answer some of the things he told her so the man began to fill things that afternoon another man arrived to install a tablet, door sensors, and a doorbell with a camera. We started with the doorbell camera never worked we changed houses and we had to pay for the installation of the new house (it was supposed to be free) and then if we wanted to put the doorbell with the camera we had to pay a separate amount to be able to install it. To all that before changing we called to cancel (according to the man we could cancel whenever we wanted) after trying to cancel it came out that we had a contract for 5 years. but if we want to cancel it we need to paid everything that is 3,744 dollars. I feel that is very unfair that they take advantage of people who don't know much about the language. the service is also very bad and really expensive.

  5. 2/5Displeased

The company’s been mostly fine, nothing majorly good or bad about them, but the app is buggy at best and a liability at worst. Even with the best internet it’s slow. Usability is limited since you still have to go to the actual website to modify your video recording rules or certain other aspects of the system. Speaking of recording rules, I got 50+ notifications (and 50+ videos) in the same evening for the motion detection picking up RAIN. This happens all the time. Rain, the occasional bug, but never people or cars. I’ve yet to have a usable notification despite modifying the sensitivity settings multiple times (from my computer, because, as I mentioned, you can’t actually modify it from the app). Video upload is limited unless you pay, even if you clear out the useless videos, and I’m not paying to store more videos of nothing. Tried to open the doorbell video to see who was here and it couldn’t open. No idea who it was and, since my video limit was maxed, I don’t have a recording of it. I’m a female who’s sometimes home alone; I need to know who’s at my door before I open it. A lagged out app doesn’t help. Husband’s car got broken into and, again, my video cap was maxed (in a different month, despite having changed my settings) so we had no evidence of who’d been on/in our property. What’s the point of a video camera if it’s not usable? Seriously, for this price I could just buy my own cameras and pay to replace the batteries every month and I’d still come out cheaper 🙄 TL;DR: ok company, limited and frustrating app
