  1. 1/5Concept is great it just doesn’t completely work!

I have been working with Verizon and Verizon wireless for at least 20 years I always found for business there systems to be consistent and customer service always courteous. Basing my recent move to One Talk on this history I’ve seem to have made quite a mistake. It turns out that when working with cellphones iPhones in my case again great concept but the program doesn’t really work correctly at least not yet. Having the ability to have both my business and personal numbers on one phone and all that One Talk potentially can do would have been great. Instead I have to use call forward just like from the land lines so that the calls go around the app giving me a call forwarding app. This defeated the whole purpose of being able to identify business call from personal as well have both business and personal voicemails separated from each other. Basically the connections are terrible if it would connect at all the calls drop, they can’t hear me, missed calls never show up the list of errors are endless. It just seems the technology in the app itself that allows for this virtual second line on your phone is far from usable. I keep hoping for a change and call every month to seek an update as well as an adjustment on my account till it works. The only reason I keep it at all is it will cost me to go back to land lines and utilizing call forwarding putting me back where I started from. I’m sure they will get there but when is the question???

  2. 1/5Poor deployment. Not a business “solution”

Update: service is still crap, they reply with the same canned response, before you buy, try calling that number they gave me to call. It’s a bogus “welcome to Verizon” number. I guarantee you will call and spend 10-15 minutes navigating the menus to get answered by someone who is unable to help you. Caveat emptor This app is very poorly built. User interface is a C at best. If using the call through option the app and the phones dialer open. There’s no way to get back to the one talk interface to 1)transfer calls 2) see who’s calling 3) change the ring tone (the option exists, but does not work) 4) calls get dropped 5) people your calling can’t hear you at times. If using call through, you have to press a number to accept the call. No way to override this. Verizon customer service is horrible, outsourced to other countries and trained to keep you away from tier 2 support, even if you know what the problem is. Verizon’s billing is so opaque the only way to understand the actual costs of each line is to extract the individual charges from multiple screens and add them to an excel sheet. Final thought: Verizon had always been a solid cell carrier. I took for granted it would extend to other business lines. This is not the case. One Talk platform is poorly built, poorly executed, and will cost you sales and tarnish your reputation in business. Shame on you Verizon.

  3. 1/5Avoid at all cost!

This app is terrible. I didn’t believe the reviews and I wish I would have! I was led to believe it would be the answer I was looking for. One phone, multiple numbers, with the ability to text, call, etc. I have had nothing but problems since the day I installed the app. I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app several times but it hasn’t corrected the issues. I have spoken with several One Talk Representatives and I get the same answer, “nothing is wrong.” How can nothing be wrong when I constantly have dropped calls and can’t call the person back for a couple of minutes because it won’t connect. The messaging is disabled so I have to close and reopen the app for it to allow me to send a text. It won’t disconnect the call so I have to close the app to disconnect. And it won’t alert me when I have a voicemail so I have to call in several times a day and waste my time going through the prompts. My regular phone service has never dropped a call or had any of the issues One Talk has. I can sit in the same location without moving and One Talk will drop my call but my regular service is perfectly fine. Explain that one. I have been a Verizon customer since they started up in my area. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. I’m rethinking who my provider should be. You would think with a huge company like Verizon they would take more pride into making sure their products work or offer a helpful solution.

  4. 1/5Bad for business

We adopted Verizon for our business a few months ago. Project manager was fantastic. Once he was out of the picture & reality set in we had major issues. There are times when connection won’t allow you to use app - even with full bars & connected to WiFi. There are other times that calls drop as soon as the call starts. There are other times when our voices sound like chipmunks on speed or a slow talking creeper robot. They try to blame our individual phones or WiFi. However, we are all on different networks, phones & WiFi & all experience the same glitches. The only common denominator…this app. Additionally when I called customer support because no calls were coming through, it was discovered that they had randomly put us on a “holiday” that we didn’t request or agree to. After spending 2 hours on the phone attempting to correct this issue with a non-native English speaking rep, he somehow managed to undo our entire auto attendant & call tree. Our saving grace was that I happened to have the personal cell phone to our initial project manager & he went in to fix what had been undone. He shared that this is common with customer support. The portal is also NOT user friendly. And the outcome to clicking the wrong setting can have dramatic impacts on your business. Verizon should stick with cell phones & leave the business sector to someone else.

  5. 1/5Don’t do it! Run!

I would give Verizon business services, and this One Talk app zero stars if I could. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a service for a business account. All I wanted was a second line app for my phone and ended up getting mired in three months of hours and hours of endless phone calls to Verizon support, multiple charges added to my account for devices and services that I didn’t need, business services doesn’t appear to have any knowledge about the app itself. Inside sales for One Talk must make commissions on whatever they can tag onto your account. Ended up with a bill for $850 for the first two months without getting any actual service! When I finally gave up and called just to cancel the service and be done with it, the last rep talked me into giving the One Talk one more try and promised they would make it good. In the end, when I finally got the One Talk app attached to my business phone, it was awful! it didn’t work, the auto reception didn’t transfer calls correctly, tech-support disappeared. The online interface didn’t work. I feel like I ended up extracting myself by the skin of my teeth. And although Verizon said they would credit the $850+ in charges, they continued to send me notices that if I did not pay it, they would disconnect my business phone number, which means they would hold it, and I would not be able to use it as well. I finally just paid the bill in order to port my number out. Still no luck on any refund or credit. I have completely lost whatever respect I had for Verizon and will probably shift my personal accounts somewhere else because of the experience.
