   Our HVAC company in OC, CA has used Housecall Pro since nearly their inception. Very happy with its performance and ease of use. Took awhile to implement, and wish they had a hardcopy training manual to go with their program. Over the years there have been several things that I’ve asked for and, believe it or not, many got implemented. One of them was being able to be working on the weekly schedule on my phone and click “today” and it would go directly to the current day. This was important to me because I would be working on the schedule and then would have to get back and going my day. This is just an example of how it’s improved over the years. We love how it syncs up to Quickbooks Online. We also operate with Mac computers and software and it works well. Just make sure you use chrome on your browser when using it for best Performance. They have honored our agreement on keeping the original price and that it would not change over the years. It’s better than a lifetime gym membership because we actually use it every day of the week. It’s affordable when compared to the other high priced software programs that primarily cater to large companies. House Call Pro has found their niche in smaller family run business businesses. We highly recommend!

2. 5/5Best Service Management Platform

   I love it.. i do everything on it.. scheduling, payments (pushes to quickbooks).. the only problem I’ve had is it sometimes didn’t push the payment or invoice to quickbooks but it was my fault for putting certain characters in the line items like / () ; as soon as I learned that, I haven’t had any problems... and their support staff is really great I do absolutely everything on my phone.. I had to log onto the computer a few times to set up certain things... It’s also really great for getting reviews.. you link it to your google business page and Facebook and after the job is invoiced/ paid, they automatically send another email or text if it doesn’t have Their email asking how the service was with a star rating they can just click right there on the 5 stars and be done, or they have the option to write something in it’s super dumb easy quick for the customer to give a review... one other thing you can set up; after the job is done, you can choose how long weeks months days whatever for a postcard to be sent out with whatever you want to say on it. You set it up once and never think about it again.. the whole thing is pretty sweet.

3. 3/5Mixed feelings, PLEASE improve the calendar view

   This software has made us appear very advanced and modern to our customers...when it works. Other times I have sent wrong information to a customer without even knowing it went out because I was not made aware of the fact that automated messages were going out. Sometimes even bombarding my clients we work for on a regular basis! Other issues I’ve had are just not liking the look of the calendar. I can see who is working and when but not any info about the service address which causes me to have to click into every entry to find a particular job if searching by address. Also, we work in multiple areas and I can not easily see where to place a job. I don’t want to schedule something an hour north on a day where we are working an hour south. Again, I have to click into individual jobs to see where we are on a given day so I can place jobs most efficiently. Perhaps unique shading or some other distinguishing guide for service areas could be established? I also don’t find creating a job or estimate to be very intuitive. It’s been clunky for sure. I am on my mobile primarily so that may be part of the problem. I’ve found that updating or creating the customer file first seems to be the best. From there you can more easily create a job or estimate. And if you put in the wrong service address for a job you have to completely delete the whole thing and start over! 😡 What I do like is that our customers get professional looking communications, we do win most of our estimate bids and it tracks employee hours (when they remember to clock in/out).

4. 1/5Don’t use if you’re just starting a business

   This review will be fairly long. We started out with a free trial on this app and the app itself is great. The issue came in when we tried to use the online payment system. We had a customer pay via ACH after we were told that we were set up and ready to accept payments. Then I was contacted by House call Pro saying they need more information. They wanted three months of bank statements, even though we are a new business. I told them we do not have that and they said they could use our personal bank statements. Keep in mind this is already after the customer has paid and we need to get started on the job. We supplied that information and then a few days later they told us they were sorry and that we could not use the payment system. This is while they are holding the money. They said the money was going to be refunded.. 10 days later, the money had still not been refunded and was still pending in the app. Now that I have clicked the refund button since they have not sent the money back, they have charged me to refund that money, even though they told me it was going to be refunded and that we were not able to accept online payments I would say this is poor business, practice, and robbery on their part, seeing as how they were the ones who told me that we were not able to except online payments, after initially saying, I was ready to accept online payments.

   I figured I had a little time today to go back after going through some of the reviews on this app I figured I’d put my two cents in. I’ve been using this app now for the last three years with my Mobile mechanic company. We do hundreds of customers around the LAS VEGAS Valley, including Business fleet account for U-Haul, Got Junk, Terminix and many more. It’s all in one app with being able to run credit and debit cards to track all my payments keep my customers in a tight database since feedback to my customers very well built. I’ve even had some of my customers reach out to me to ask me what program we are Using Because it makes it so simple and easy keeps tracks of all my conversations between me and customers makes it easy to go back and find job sites and contracts and payments when customers need a additional copies. I’ve ran thousands and thousands of dollars to the payment processing and haven’t had any issues with payment. I do pay a little bit more to have the processing. Payment into my bank account same day. I just want to give a round of applause five star rating to Housecall Pro.    This app NEVER works for the android users in our company. We are always miss codes that are needed to access properties. Whenever our bosses complain to IT they require "proof" that its not working. We are always told to uninstall and reinstall the app. This NEVER works, it is ridiculous that we can never have the app working correctly and that we have to jump through so many hoops to prove that the app does not work. I wish so badly my bosses would find a better app that actually works.
