1. 5/5Amazing food and service

   We had an amazing experience in this restaurant. Very friendly services, great food and very good price. We ordered a Florentino steak (1.2 kg for two people), two sides: roasted vegetables and roasted potatoes. The steak is the top- notch, amazingly tender and juice, delicious!The two sides are also very good. The waitress is very friendly, attentive and helpful. The chef presented the steak himself. We got the royal treatment! The decorations is artistic, contemporary and cozy. Comparing with typical steak houses in US, this meal is modestly priced; and it’s even better with TheFork discount. I would come back 💯. I wound highly recommend to everyone, to all my friends.

2. 2/5Dining App needs work on Reviews section

   As a resident of North America I’ve been using apps centric to my location. The Fork offer European diners a way to see reviews and make reservations. Things it does to various degrees of success. One of the failings in the app is the review process which seems stacked in some ways. You have to make a reservation to even write a review so what the viewer sees is biased from that perspective compared to reviews apps like Google Map or Yelp. In addition content is moderated by AI and outright removed based on those same unseen strategies so viewers are not getting a fair and balanced review that has not been adjusted by their review of reviews process. Users are unable to edit / add / remove or change their reviews once submitted with out using a chat system to “contact the support team”. When a user tries this method it’s laborious and frustrating to explain an edit is needed ect. In my opinion do not trust the reviews and stick with the resy system only. I’ve made reservations on The Fork and that part of the app seems to work fine.

3. 1/5Two bad experiences in one week

   If it would work well then the fork app is a great concept but I would most certainly not rely on it (I personally already deleted it). I reserved a restaurant through it and when I arrived at the time my reservation was set in the app, the kitchen and restaurant was closed. The owners apologized and said they’ve been having constant trouble with the app and will discontinue their partnership asap. Second bad experience was a restaurant that you need months of anticipation to reserve in and I did it via the fork. The day of my reservation, without notification and without me clicking a thing, it appeared to be “cancelled”. I couldn’t reserve again since there was no space and no explanation or response to my complaints were received. Furthermore, their offer of restaurants listed is definitely not the best in any city I’ve used it in. Don’t use this app, don’ trust this app.

4. 3/5Flawed app, and dishonest customer service.

   I travel 100 days a year, and tried this app on a recent trip to Mallorca. On one occasion these bozos confirmed a reservation at a restaurant that was closed, ruining our evening. Blamed it on the restaurant, tried to bribe me with “Yums”. On another the app converted a reservation for 2 into 20, created a huge problem. I get there and the restaurant expects me to pay $1000 for thefork’s blunder. On another, the email confirmation says TheFork will bill me 1euro if I don’t go to the restaurant, then they fraudulently tried to bill my card 100euro, though I ate at the restaurant, and sent them a copy of my bill. These guys have a amateur app, sure, but their slimy business practices are the bigger problem.

5. 4/5The Fork App

   I signed up and used this app quite a bit during my last trip to France. Kind of like Open Table, but for Europe. Good listing coverage for better restaurants. I loved the promotion discounts and recommendations. I also loved that 100 percent of my reservations and discounts were honored. Frankly, I found the 1,200 or so “Yums” that I accumulated over the course of a month to be of little value, they did not seem widely accepted in Paris out of all the restaurants listed and mine expired quickly. Just not worth the effort to travel to a restaurant that would take them and no good for my next trip to Europe later this year.
