   When I got this app I thought it would be helpful but unless your employees are doing all the work of adding their own schedules to the app it is not helpful. Trading shifts does not work unless ALL employees have added the schedules to the app. Do not pay for upgrade either it’s a rip off. I’ve asked for a refund but they will not offer it. Stating I have to go through App Store for refund, but since I purchased app and upgrade over 90 days ago a refund is not possible Through App Store. If I can prevent 1 person from using this app my upgrade fee is worth it. Do not get this app. ***Since I wrote this review the company has contacted me several times to work with me and actually offered and sent me a refund. Although my staff does not like that they have to input their own schedules into the calendar now and I preferred the advantage of having it uploaded for me as the store owner, we will try to make it work for the time being. The other features worked much better when they were offering this service. It streamlined the scheduling aspect. I personally felt it was what set this app apart from the other apps. I can send a text with my excel spread sheet in it to them so posting it on the app now seems like a waste of time. With all that being said I have upped the star rating because of their customer service. They all were wonderful and very professional.

2. 3/5It’s a good app, but many bugs

   The title says what I mainly think about the app. It works great when there are no bugs but there are some persistent ones that happen almost every time I use the app. This includes it logging me out every single time I use the app and having to sign in all over again which gets pretty irritating, or the app when it DOES keep me logged in doesn’t have any of my work info on it. No schedules on the calendar, nothing going down in the area to pick up shifts, and it won’t let you access your chats or messages. This bug has gotten so bad at points I have to uninstall and reinstall the app so that I am able to log back on rather than being stuck logged in but not be able to do anything. The app is great! But these two glitches are realllyyyy irritating. Sometimes I have important messages to send like letting my team know I’m running late, and because of this I haven’t been able to let them know. I know the developers are super on top of things. I hope an update rolls around soon that fixes these issues! x

3. 1/5New Update is Awful

   I had no problems with the old set up of the app. Now I have the new update and there are so many things wrong with it. First of it shows previous shifts from many months ago so right when you get into the app make sure to check what month you are looking at cause it is probably not the current month. Also make sure you take screenshots of your schedules because even though you click the schedule button which is supposed to show the pictures of the schedule, it most likely will not show up. I haven’t been able to see my works’s schedules all day, sometimes they will appear but most of the time they are nowhere to be found. I also have trouble seeing the open shifts posted on the app. I am casual so I pick up open shifts and I currently in the last couple days have been relying on other people telling me what open shifts there are because all of our apps show different things. Not to mention when you go to the current date on the app, for me at least, no shifts will even show up. None of the open shifts that still are waiting to be picked up or have been picked up will appear on the current date. So when I go on app before I head into work for the day and look at today’s date, it is blank. All of the employees who have updated their app have complained about it. We are all confused and have the time we all see different things on our screens. I miss the old app.

   So this is a pretty swell app. It does what you’d expect it to. It’s user friendly and convenient. The biggest gripe I have is that once you tap “Cover” you can’t really go back. I suppose you can msg a manager and ask them to reject the shift but then the poster has to post it again (I think). Sometimes people will accidentally tap “cover” on the wrong day or sometimes change their minds or something will come up so I think it would be more useful to be able to cancel a “cover”. Another suggestion is that it might be useful to have some sort of pop up message whenever you choose to cover a shift that says something like , “you already have a shift that day. Are you sure you want to cover this?” My schedule changes all the time so I’ll always have to go back in my calendar and check if I have a shift that day and mull over if I really should cover. I’m not sure if what I just suggested is even possible though. Anyways just my two cents.

5. 2/5Shyft 3.0 update has ruined the experience

   I can agree that the app needed a bit of a professional facelift but it’s function and ease of use has completely disappeared in the new update. My whole team has been having issues with the new app in both posting shyfts and even having their schedule display properly. As I am a manager I can see all shifts for all employees and I find it’s extremely difficult just to find what days I’m working. I tried to share my feedback with the team through the feedback/support option in the app. I said the app was much easier to use before and I wish we could go into individual days to see the schedule. The response from the Shyft team was to give me tips on how to “choose the schedule tab and not the marketplace tab”. I agree with the previous review; if it ain’t broke, don’t “fix” it. Shyft 3.0 was a bad direction and I hope the developers realize that the ease of use was the main appeal of the app in the first place. Just get rid of the chipmunk/beaver in a Hawaiian shirt and it would’ve been golden.
