1. 4/5Excellent App, Difficult Barriers

   The app is excellent for trip planning. Explicit, flawless directions with multiple options for Zurich city transit as well as all of Switzerland. But, sadly, there are barriers. We created an account, but could not load a credit card. Tried repeatedly with multiple cards. Discovered you need to supply a PIN number which US VISA does not provide. We were able to buy tix at tram stops and stations with VISA however we could not purchase 112,0 CHF tix from Zurich to Lucerne. Discovered again that a purchase of 80,0 CHF or more requires a PIN number or a signature. The second issue is using the tram stop ticket boxes is difficult if you can’t read German language, but you can decipher enough to get by except that in one case the tram stop of the destination noted in the app was not found on the ticket box choice list. I note that the boxes at train stations do have a language option and/or a ticket window. So the app is absolutely indispensable, but you’re prevented from taking advantage of the in app purchase power if you don’t have the right credit card.

2. 3/5Can’t purchase tickets

   Decent app to make reservations but it won’t allow international credit cards apparently. Even through Apple Pay it doesn’t work with my US credit card. It just gives a generic error that it couldn’t charge the card. I’ve traveled all over Europe using this same card and this is the only app/website that gives me problems. I’ve tried at least a dozen times. I tried many months ago and then again today. Sad

3. 5/5The only app you need for public transit in Switzerland

   For our first trip to Switzerland, we are relying exclusively on public transit. This app has been our essential companion. We have used it to travel on inter-city trains and local buses, and it provides all the information we need in a simple format that is easy to understand. It even provides walking directions to, from, and between stops. It also covers ferries on the lakes and lifts in the mountains, though I haven’t needed it for those means of travel yet. I’ve used different public transit apps in different parts of Europe and the U.S., and SBB Mobile puts them all to shame.

4. 1/5Doesn’t work, customer service is an absolute waste of time 👎🏼

   I have never reviewed an app in my life but it really is that bad. All I need to do is purchase the Savers Day Pass tickets for a specific date. Each time I try to do so I get an error message that payment failed or couldn’t be processed. I tried purchasing tickets with 3 different credit cards, on 2 different phones and 2 different computers, using Chrome, Safari, and this ridiculous app, and with / without being logged into an account. Nothing worked, same error message. Then I reach out to chat customer service and let’s just say Anna was horrible and Roland was better but still did nothing for me. I’m laughing out loud. So ridiculous lol

5. 5/5Wonderful UX and snappy

   Throughout my trip in Switzerland, I was unsure of which tickets to book and when. The app has such wonderful user experience that so many times I was able to book tickets a minute or even few seconds before the train. Some apps work well. But this app works well and is very intuitive even in all the extreme use cases where I need to book things last minute and in a hurry. Enjoying the app

   I was trying to buy a single ticket back to Zurich from Kandersteg, yet I was sold an "upgrade" without having an actual ticket. The prices are ridiculously expensive as it is, but the fact that you allow sales of upgrades without actual tickets is very poor and translation on the app is appalling. Sort it out!

   login/registration flow broken. have account but whenever I finish logging in it brings me back to the main page to register/login. otherwise the trip routing seems pretty good

   App is genuinely good for purchasing tickets and planning trips but the fines for your phone being dead or Internet being slow are excessive and in some cases (Jungfraujoch) they are basically just assisting scammers in stealing money from tourists.
