1. 5/5Actual Mobile YT Adblocker!!

   I’ve had this app for under 24 hours and I’m speechless. I switched because YT started putting persistent window ads on videos and I couldn’t handle it anymore. This app deletes it all. No starting ads. No midroll ads. No disgusting unskippable 30s ads back to back. No new corner ads. None. But the best part of all? There’s an option to get rid of YT shorts. I would’ve gotten this app for that alone. I wish I had known of this sooner. This is literally the solution I’ve been looking for, for SO long. There were no adblockers for mobile I could find without jail breaking. This is so easy, convenient, and intuitive. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you so much Devs!!

2. 3/5Could use some work

   It’s nice that there are no ads, but there are some frustrating features that have been bothering me while I’ve used this for the past week. When listening to a video, if I turn off the screen, it feels like a coin flip if the video will continue playing or not, and when I open the app again, the video stays as a black screen until I move the progress bar of the video around. Also, if I’m watching in full screen mode and the video ends, the video will automatically loop itself even though I have the loop feature off. And if the video ends while the screen is off, it’ll automatically move to another random video. When the video does loop itself, it’ll play audio for a few seconds then mute itself, and the same thing will happen occasionally if I want to go to a certain point in a video. One last issue is that when listening on earbuds and I use them to pause/play a video, it’ll only resume a video part of the time. More often than not it doesn’t continue the video but start up the music from my music app. So quite a few frustrations in trying to use this app. It’d be nice if they all got fixed.

3. 4/5Really good alternative!

   It’s great if all you care about is watching a video ad-free with your normal account. It functions almost identically to the regular version + some premium features. It’s great in most regards. Where it does fall flat is that it is lacking a few nice features. For example, the iPad version is lacking a split view feature, so you can’t multitask with the app open unless you want to use a mini video player instead. Also, the subtitles are far too big and obstructs a lot of the video, so for any hard of hearing folks, you might have an issue with that. An option to resize the subtitles would be incredibly helpful. Finally, the notifications you can get from subscriptions are not available. So you can’t exactly receive the news of a brand new video the moment it’s uploaded. Along with that, the bell icon on the homepage to see new videos are missing as well. The alternative is using the subscription tab instead. In conclusion, great alternative and functions fantastic for day-to-day life! No ads, can listen to music and videos out of the app, and you won’t be missing much from the original app. Only needs a few improvements to be perfect! I recommend it even in spite of those minor flaws.

4. 5/5Settings - Quality

   The app is amazing, but there is an issue with the highest quality being set up as default (2160) which keeps buffering if mobile internet is used, even if it’s high speed 5G. The exact issue is that after adjusting to 720, as soon as it switches to the next video it goes back to the highest quality. It’s very inconvenient and makes it difficult to use if listening to the music while driving… Could you guys make an option in settings to select lower quality that would stay set up like that unless the user decides to change it?

5. 3/5App has too many bugs

   Aside from the ad-free experience, this app has some bugs that make it difficult to use it. For instance, when you switch to full screen viewing, the entire UI changes which makes the captions disappear and the menu becomes unusable. Also, when moving between normal viewing and the mini-player, is also hard to use. It gets stuck in random parts of the screen, and then I have to restart the app to fix it. Lastly, after a few weeks of using the app, the background play feature stopped working, and the only way to get it to work is to also restart the app. After 2 or 3 times of it actually functioning, it stopped again. Please just add a full screen feature, and just fix the bugs here and there.
