  1. 4/5Buggy, but manageable

Does a good enough job with everything. Although load times are sometimes a bit slow, I find myself more entertained staring at a loading symbol than I do staring at interruptive, unwanted, unskippable ads. Bug: A bug related to “Aspect Ratios” make it difficult to access some features, due to important HUD elements getting partially/fully buried behind the video display. On iPhone SE, default Aspect Ratio is locked to 1:1. Bug Fix Suggestion: Simply placing the video display BEHIND a few menus would solve majority of the issues posed by Aspect Ratios. Key menus that need to be brought in FRONT of the video display are: [1] The “Save” button menu (when selecting a playlist to save a video to, the “Watch Later” playlist AND the first custom playlist are inaccessible due to the video display fully covering them up) [2] The “Report” button menu (Same issue as [1] ) [3] Expanding the Description (Menu is partially covered up at the top, which makes it difficult to slide the menu away, but not impossible) [4] Viewing the Comments (Same issue as [3] ) Alternatively, you could just fix the Aspect Ratios so that these don’t get covered up in the first place. But, seeing as this could be a reoccurring issue later on down the line, it would probably be best to attempt the former suggestion FIRST. That way, when it DOES happen again, it won’t be nearly as annoying for users to deal with. ——— There are other minor-yet-annoying bugs in here, but they are hardly worth listing due to how avoidable they are. Most quirks with this app are easy to adapt to and quickly become an afterthought. I give this app 4 out of 5 stars. Room for improvement, but good enough.

  2. 4/5A Bug When Select Playlist Timestamps

Bug Issue: Don't get me wrong, I love this application. However, when playing through a video that has a playlist and pressing the timestamps, it just goes to a black screen and then comes back. It doesn't actually go to the time stamps when applying to it. It's weird. I think it's a bug and it needs to be fixed as soon as possible because sometimes you're going to have videos that you know it's a playlist and you want to play it, but every time you do it, you get a black screen. Another thing I would like to add is: When exiting the application, rather than being in picture-in-picture mode, there should be an option or a setting where you can disable that. Every time you go out of the application, it shouldn't force to a picture-in-picture mode.

  3. 4/5Nice

First and most importantly, THANK YOU for all the effort you put into creating, maintaining and sharing TubePIP with us. It is a great app. The app is good, but here are some small ideas you might consider for a future release: 1:standard player: if possible, allow it to remember last used video speed 2:standard player: option to play single video and not automatically play next video in playlist 3:enhanced player: allow for scrubbing left or right anywhere in the video window to seek position (and base the movement amount on video length). this would help seeking on the small screen of a phone 4:enhanced player : selecting chapters when available in a video 5: UI: create an option to remove the red circular button from the interface, perhaps just allow a swipe right from the main screen to get to settings. this would help mistakenly hitting that button while scrolling for some 6:UI: have an option to create a custom bottom YT tab in addition to home, subscriptions, library. for example, watch later

  4. 1/5Love it but HOLY HECK!

Standard player pip does not work! It just minimizes it back down to portrait mode, and when in portrait mode it if you press the PIP button to manually enable it, the sound still plays but the video disappears both in the app and on my home screen. Airplay also maxes out at 360p with the standard player, making videos pixelated and unwatchable. Enhanced player is useless, it just displays video source error messages and if you airplay, the videos glitch and won’t stop skipping to the next one. Every video is this way & it even happens at random while watching. This app was so good, now it’s almost useless and hard to justify not spending the money on premium. Incredibly disappointing!

  5. 3/5Was good until

I haven’t had the app a full 24 hours and it’s already starting to bug out. At first everything was perfect videos were loading quickly, background pip was working but now. Every videos had a source error then reloads on a video I watched 2 hours ago. The pip no longer automatically plays the next video and the app has force closed 5 times in the last 3 hours. The no ads is great but definitely not worth all the bugs will be deleting.
