5/5Great option instead of credit!
This is my first review ever and I want to help people out with this. First of all, I’ll be clear I had never used credit so it was hard for me to get approved most places. I found out about this some time ago and didn’t even qualify the first time. I tried again buying a special gift for someone & it worked great! Obviously if you don’t do the 3 month early option you’ll pay double or more doing the longer options. ALWAYS call about your purchase and request the 3 month purchase option! It should start when you receive your purchase not the moment you place an order. You’ll literally pay only what it’s worth with no interest. They even increased my buying power by 2 grand after my first purchase. Customer support has always been supportive, just don’t get frustrated during any situation. I don’t understand how people have trouble with this. Just follow directions don’t be dumb.

1/5Worst Experience
I have had 3 other successful, paid in full and closed accounts with them. They showed their hind-parts this time. Customer service overall is trash, they won’t follow-up for loan applications. I have never had to provide as much documentation before and I think they lied why I needed to submit so much information. They didn’t fully process my application until I called them back 10 days later waiting on some emails. I went through over 6 representatives in 2 days after waiting for a email or call back for 10 days. They couldn’t tell me why my identity is a problem all of a sudden. It wasn’t supported by any laws or policy. I think I was discriminated against. It was ridiculous trying to get a supervisor on the phone. Employers, if a customer asks for you and already has called back over twice Stop telling your CSR’s they can handle my problem! Have of them don’t even understand the complaint because they not effective listeners. They just want to read the script and thing that will solve the problem. Next, teach them to have empathy. Everybody doesn’t have a sob story, sometimes life happens. I think it was something else on my credit report why I was turned down and you didn’t have the decency to tell the truth, so I could fix it and I wanted everyone know how you treated a veteran who has had 3 other paid off accounts with you. Use someone else if you can!!!!!!! Before I forget whether you approved or not for signing the application, they still get paid whatever the loan amount was for.

1/5just so stressful and confusing
i recently started a lease to own agreement with them for a phone. i was and did sign a contract to be on a 90 lease to own agreement to which they set to be a 12 month agreement. I had to call to get this fixed and sign the same agreement again. When it came to the first payment they took it out of the wrong account and when it declined the payment they charged me a bounce fee and the payment was late so it reverted back to the 12 month lease. i paid my bounce fee and called to have them fix my account yet again. i had a good two payments after that and then i made a partial payment to make the payment less for the second half and they accepted the payment but it didn’t reflect in the amount pending. i still don’t know what happened to that money. then coming to the closing of my lease (i needed two more payments) i made a one time payment on a day that wasn’t scheduled and they accepted the money but i still had two pending payments. i called to see if the credit could be put to the payments and they told me no. i had to then ask for a refund to which took 5-10 days and i still haven’t received the money in my account even though i have a receipt on the app saying it was deposited to my account today. and to top it off they set my payments back to the 12 month lease.

1/5Would not recommend
So little back story I decided to use this to purchase my phone last year little did I know the problems this decision would cause me. Firstly the phone I bought was constantly glitching out and over heating and it got to the point where I had to take it to be looked at. Turns out they sold me a defective phone and they had to replace everything except for the camera since that was good still. Which whatever it wasn’t technically just them it was also my phone providers fault. Secondly the whole paying thing is absolutely bull, so it’s supposed to come out on the first week of a month then in the middle of the month and again for the third time at the end so it felt like no matter when it was they were always taking money out of my back account. Thirdly and this is what has really irritated me beyond belief and that would be this, I did an early payoff two days ago so I could go ahead and get it paid off. So imagine my irritation when I look on my banking app and see that it didn’t take one payment of the amount that I paid but it took out a whole other payment on the same day for more money! And now it’s still showing that I still have a balance to pay off! I will NEVER be using this app ever again! There is no amount of money you could pay me to use it, so be warned, it may look like a good idea in the beginning but it quickly screws you over. Oh and the only way to change a payment or cancel is to call…. I have a full time job and don’t have time to wait on the phone for 30 plus minutes just to cancel a payment. If I could give this thing negative starts I would but sadly the lowest star here is a one. 👎🏻 Btw this is my second attempt to write a review, the first never made it through….

5/5You don’t see this often, an absolute 5 star company across the board!!!
I’ve done a few leases through prog, they’re legit. I actually love doing business with them. A huge factor is their exceptional customer service. Super easy to get in touch with them, they always answer! And on any occasion that I’ve needed assurance or help, they abide by it with no hesitation even if strings need to be pulled. How often do you see that? Example: I have a $1500 payment due in 3 days, the last day of my 90 day buyout option (if you miss the 90 day, you switch to 12month with a ton of interest) and was sweating to make it happen. So out of desperation I called them to ask for an extension and was expecting to hear “sorry there’s nothing we can do” but to my surprise they gave me a week long extension with no hassle, and then told me if I couldn’t make that payment to call them back and we’ll negotiate another extension. Thats what surprised me the most. Exceptional customer service. Another Example: I got a $2,000 MacBook from bestbuy through prog, and was so set on exchanging it for the same laptop but different color (the next day) and bestbuy almost refused to do the exchange due to their “agreement” with prog and prog literally went to battle with me to get it done through bestbuy by calling out their “bluff” in the policies. Great company, trust worthy, helpful, and if you are a fair customer, they treat you more than fairly!
