   I’ve been using this app for a while now. Like, a year. They started me out with a $150 spending limit. Not so great but whatever. Never late on a payment but my income did drop last year for a minute so without warning and again without ever being late they dropped my spending limit down to $100. Somehow it creeped up to a random $130 spending limit. Ok. So I’ve been using it and paying things off on time with the assumption that good payment history will increase the spending limit. My income changed again. I now work full time making over $20 an hour. You would think that they would consider an increase in the spending limit. Still I never saw increase. Recently messaged them to ask about it. They told me that the system would “consider” it if I were to attach another bank account that had more money in it than my current one. So…I’m sorry I just don’t have a secondary bank account with unlimited money in it to raise my spending limit for your stupid app. If I did, I would hope that I would be able to manage my two bank accounts full of money enough so I would not have a need for a pay in four app like this. I’m just saying. Dear pay with four…I’ve been a loyal customer on your platform for a while now. Haven’t been late. I’ve been overly patient and understanding all the times my orders got cancelled and you needed WEEKS to have your team review the obvious proof and refund money. I have been patient. But I am not gonna be insulted further. There’s other apps and there’s also a thing called budgeting that makes your app worthless.

2. 5/5Genuinely better than the competitors!

   This app is honestly the best kind of buy now, pay later app that allows you to split your payment into 4 interest free payments every two weeks. I can’t speak on the customer service others complain about as I’ve had zero issues with using Four. But what sets Four apart is how they don’t do what the competitors do and start you off with a ridiculous and laughably low $250 limit, I was started with over $2,200. So it makes Four an actually useful app, because tbh I don’t need an extra few weeks to pay for an order that costs a couple hundred bucks that I’d just be able to pay in full, it makes it redundant and irrelevant. Yea I’m aware they’ll raise your limit over time, but what’s the point in starting off so low and having to make tiny purchases over and over again for a few months to finally get up to a reasonable and worth while limit? Especially when there’s Four who starts you off with a useful limit to begin with. And you can link multiple bank accounts (if you have more than one) to instantly raise your limit even higher! They also have tons of great stores to choose from, pretty much anywhere you’d wanna shop at-including high end luxury brands like dior and Saint Laurent, and even though you can’t necessarily use them on any site at all like others, there’s plenty of stores you can use, and even though they don’t have Gucci, they have neiman Marcus, bergdorff, and saks, so I was still able to get the exact Gucci items I was looking for on Guccis site through Four, and it worked just as seamlessly, simple, and easily as you’d expect, and two days later, my order arrived :) I’ll definitely be using Four again when I want a particularly expensive item I can’t necessarily afford at once but don’t wanna wait another week or two to get paid again to buy, especially because it’s completely interest free and you’re not spending a single penny more than you would if you bought it with your debit card in full, so it’s great.

3. 1/5Went downhill fast! Don’t waste your time trying this app!

   Been using Four for 2.5 years now and it’s always been great and easy to use especially around the holidays. Spending limit $1200 and have made purchases of up to $600 in one transaction without any problem. Have never missed a payment and 2 months ago back in October I tried to make a $50 purchase using Four. I was declined with their normal “we can’t accept all orders” yada yada.. It was whatever and tried a week later on another site for $75.. Same Notice if they can’t accept my order. I reached out to customer service to see if there was an issue with my account and they gave the same scripted response of how I’m approved and disapproved for orders and to try again in a week.. The Christmas season was coming up so at the start of December I tried to start my shopping early and again no matter what website I clicked on or dollar amount I tried it gave me the same I can’t be approved for the order. I’ve tried $300 like I used to be able to do without issue down to the minimum of $35 on orders and no luck.. I reached out to customer service again to try and see what is really going on but it was the same scripted response again and to try again in a week(no help). App is fully updated, banking and card accounts have never changed, so not sure what is going on with the company. Don’t waste your time on this one and stick to one of the more notable ones that will actually work when you need them.

   I have used a few other pay in 4 apps each with a positive outcome, but this Four app/company is awful. Their customer service is horrible and the time it takes to get any kind of response is unacceptable. I had ordered a large amount of items from a retailer, but only received four of the items in that order. The majority of the order was delivered to the wrong address. Four did absolutely nothing to help with this issue. Their customer service response was to contact the retailer, which I had, of course already done. The retailer had issued the credit for the items I did not receive within two days of my reporting the issue. Although I contacted Four several times they continued to debit my payment method for the final three payments, that were not owed because I did not receive the items. After many calls and messages, it still took nearly three months before Four processed the refund from the retailer. They charged a $7 late fee for those final three payments that were not in any way late, as I did not have the merchandise. They deducted those fees from my refund. Absolutely nothing I could do to speed the process up or actually receive the correct refund amount. Three months for the company to return my money and short me on top of that. I’d label this company as sketchy at best. Just don’t bother. Klarna, Afterpay and ZIP are so much more reliable and customer satisfaction oriented.

5. 1/5First time I used FOUR!!!

   I went shopping at a store listed on their site for shoes and clothes for my kids and the total came out to be around $350 and so change. So I was approved for my purchase and was told how much I’d be paying for my purchases by payment to them and I agreed then got my information I needed to proceed to process the transaction as you normally would when using FOUR. Afterwards I checked my bank account to make sure everything was legit and at first it did. My order confirmation came, the order was processing and the first payment had come out my account. Well within 48 HRs of my purchase I received i email notification stating that my order had been canceled for nonpayment and in this case would’ve been on FOURS behalf. So of course I sent them a message about my situation and only received 2 messages at first with 1 simple sentence and I just wanted a refund and this was after I had already sent them a copy of the email stating the store canceled the order due to FOURs nonpayment, and a copy of my bank statement showing they took my money out my account and for a different amount then the total!!! Oh and I had to send my proof twice because they kept forgetting why I was contacting them! Also it took more then 2 weeks to finally get a response and my money back!!! Absolutely Ridiculous and they didn’t even offer not for the huge inconvenience it caused me!! That’s money I could of used earlier in December for my kids for Christmas!! Not on December 20th, 5 days before Christmas!!!! Definitely not a family company!!!!!

   great app. helps a lot when the finances are hurting for the moment. saved me during my sins 14th birthday and I was able to get him some gifts I at the time couldn't afford. thanks so much for helping me out in a pinch. highly recommend!!
