  1. 5/5World changing

You HAVE to download this boycott app I've been using. Seriously, it's been a total game-changer. I used to stand in the aisle feeling so overwhelmed trying to remember which brands were okay and which were owned by the big companies I'm trying to avoid. Now I just scan the barcode with my phone. It gives a clear alert in seconds, and it explains exactly why—super thorough. The best part is you can tell the people running it are just as passionate and committed as we are. They keep it seriously up-to-date; I get notifications when there are important changes or new info. It doesn't just list stuff—it educates you. I've learned so much about how all these corporations are connected that I never knew before. It honestly makes me feel less helpless. Like, my shopping might feel like a small thing, but this app makes it so easy to be consistent and actually put my money where my heart is. It's like having a really smart, ethical friend right in your pocket giving you a quick nudge. Just get it. You won't regret it.

  2. 5/5Makes it so much easier to be a good human.

My life has so much chaos in it and I don’t have money to donate, but this app makes it so much easier for me to choose where the money I must spend to care for myself and my family goes (or do not go, as the case may be). My only complaint, at all, with the app , is that I can’t find a way to make a submission for items that claim to be on the list, incorrectly, when scanning. I scanned a dried fruit bar once, that was their “strawberry apple “flavor, and for some reason the barcode triggered this app to think that it was an Apple product. I worry that this could accidentally hurt companies who actually support Palestine, or even dissuade some of those who are on the fence from doing so. That’s aside, thank you for giving me a way to help, while I am stuck here, on the other side of the world.

  3. 5/5A Powerful Tool for Conscious Consumers

I’ve been using No Thanks for a few months now, and it’s completely changed the way I shop. The app is incredibly easy to use and keeps me informed about which companies are aligned with values I care about—and which ones aren’t. It’s empowering to know that my money isn’t going to support causes or corporations I disagree with. The interface is clean, intuitive, and the database is updated frequently. I especially appreciate the transparency behind each listing; they provide clear sources and explanations rather than just telling you what to avoid. Whether you’re new to ethical consumerism or have been boycotting for years, this app is an essential companion. It turns everyday purchases into powerful statements. Highly recommended!

  4. 4/5Solid app, Some results inaccurate

Like many, I got this app to make sure my money isn’t going places that I don’t want it to go. The app itself is intuitive and easy to use, and doesn’t crash. No qualms about the user experience itself, and I think the concept is awesome. However, I’ve encountered several products with inaccurate results, where the provided proof in the app doesn’t match the product or company. Perhaps the bar codes are similar to those in other countries (I’m in USA). This app could be improved with the ability to notify the creator or any support staff that a product’s origins are inaccurate, or require further evidence than what it is provided. That being said, the origin of most products are accurate, but there’s enough that I’ve scanned have been wildly wrong where an audit process to ensure a product on the list is accurately classified.

  5. 5/5Great for anti-war GenZ; app request

This is pretty much everything that I needed, but I definitely have a suggestion. You might want to add a function in the app—unless it’s already being planned—that lets us download a massive database of these barcode numbers, so you can still scan stuff even while offline. I wouldn’t trust this stuff to last forever and you never know when big Tech will try to metaphorically tribute. The rest of my life will be dedicated to boycotting companies that fund any form of G-word or war—my life has been nothing BUT, and I’m tired of it. Time to push back economically. Also your Shopify store via store tab—the products once tapped appear to be down. Thanks for No Thanks!!
