1. 5/5I love the coupons! But..

   I have Really enjoyed going to McDonald’s since I was a child. The Big breakfast is my fav! Unfortunately, since the app has been released, the service at McDonald’s has really suffered. Not only does the app take forever to open on my IPhone on the McDonald’s WiFi connection, many times the app will tell us the location is closed, or cannot accept the order. After a few tries it will eventually work, sometimes I have to get my iPad out just to place our order. It is normal for us to wait over 30min for our order, just to receive it in error. Many times our order will just disappear off the display for no reason even if we haven’t received our food. I get concerned and get in line to ask about our order, which takes even more time. Once we get our order we are always missing something or have onions on my daughters burger.. Then I have to stand in line for at least 10min to get an employee to correct the order. My wife no longer enjoys going to McDonald’s since it takes a minimum of 1hr just to get our food. I am so thankful that our local McDonald’s kept the play set in the remodel, otherwise we wouldn’t go to McDonald’s at all. The service really has gone downhill and many times I just wish I could use a coupon and talk to a friendly McDonald’s employee and get my order correct just once. :) I wish the Hewitt,TX location off i35 could get the temperature right in the play area, it is either freezing or a sauna. It is better than outside...

2. 5/5Seldom works without a hitch

   When I can actually use this it works. Several times I have had to delete and download again as it would not go past the “new terms and conditions” screen. (Why do terms and conditions change so frequently anyway?) when i can get in, it will give you options that don’t say they are unavailable until later, so you have to manually delete the item and go back and find something else. Once you finally get your order placed, you can head to the location. While on the way to the location, I’d recommend you say a prayer. When the app first came out it worked quite smoothly. Now time has passed, along with some (understandable) turnover, and it doesn’t appear they make mobile order training a priority for newer hires. Pulling up to the drivethru to give your order number often results in what sounds like panic from the employee, not knowing what to do. About 50% of the time a manager has to get involved somehow, and these managers seem frazzled. The mobile exclusive deals are usually what tip the scale to go to mcd’s, but I wish I didn’t have to prepare for a terrible experience on my way there, not to mention the guilt of the 5 anxiety attacks the event seems to cause the poor employees. It doesn’t really get your order any faster, but if there’s a long line and you’re gonna be there anyway, and weather is nice, it’s nice to check in curbside. (I don’t wanna make an employee run out in rain or cold) I like the idea of mobile ordering, and other places have got it right, so I hope they keep working on this.

3. 5/5Buggy App and Incorrect Orders

   The app is riddled with bugs. For example: don’t start order from Deals. It will lead you complete your order before choosing a location. The once location is selected, you run the risk of different menus from different franchises (Sweet Tea at some locations, Southern Style Sweet Tea at others). When that happens you are stuck. You can’t remove the conflict from the order. You can’t cancel the order either. Restarting app does nothing as well. You have to log out, log back in, and reorder using the secret trick you just learned. Contact Us is also bug ridden. Tried to submit feedback on restaurant for totally missing everything on order. I ordered 2 QPCs with no pickle or onions, and a Crispy Buttermilk Chicken combo. Instead I got two burgers with both pickles and onions, AND I got a Filet O Fish in a Signature Chicken container. Yes, that means I also overpaid for their mix-up. Contact us freezes so no feedback could be submitted. For about two weeks the “pay” part of mobile ordering didn’t work. Imagine going through the trouble to create an order and then you couldn’t pay. Unless you pay the order goes nowhere. You just totally wasted your time. Quite honestly, using the app is almost pointless. There aren’t many Deals daily and often the order is wrong or slow. The app does make good use of colors and pics. Too many issues. By the way, I got cold fries as well in the aforementioned order screw-up. All is enough for me to use a better app with more deals, the Wendy’s app.

4. 1/5Charged Repeatedly for Erroneous Orders and McDonalds and Franchisee don’t give a f.

   Initially glitches didn’t stop me from ordering in the mornings once sometimes 3 times a week. But then glitches and the app locking up started resulting in charges for orders that were not completed. Sometimes required calling the location to reverse charges. Headache but I like their coffee and breakfast sands. But now stores stopped answering the phone or just leave it off the hook so I have a bunch of charges from the same day for the same amount several weeks ago that still haven’t been resolved . I’ve stopped using the app and going to McDonald entirely because the C who took my third call to corporate customer service hung up on me . So use app at your own risk and know that customer service has no problem hanging up on you. UPDATE: I’ve been directed to uninstall and reinstall the APP. But nothing address the return of money they owe. Wow? Thank you? I guess im a maroon and couldn’t figurte thank out meself. I UNDERSTAND THERE WILL BE ISSUES AND GLITCHES AND OCCASIONALLY ERRORS THAT MAY RESULT IN CHARGES. But if there is problem developer who responded, it will be resolved in a way that will restore enough faith to use the app again. Reverse erroneous charges. If you can’t do that. I can’t even consider using the app to use reward points to menu items I would receive for free. So I’ll take your advice , the first part, and remove the app so you can’t steal my money when I’m trying to give it to you.

5. 5/5Good luck getting a refund. A flaw with the app!!!!

   A very bad experience... I ordered my food with the app, which is supposed to make it easy, but instead it was a pain! We made the order on the app and then chose curbside pick up. They don’t charge your card until you check in. So instead of saying, hey don’t charge the card because where the only McDonald’s in the world right now with NO ICE CREAM! They ran the card, made the food, and assumed having no ice cream was okay because our order was large. No it’s not and they should have came to our car before charging the card to inform us that our order would not be able to be completed as ordered. Instead they brought all the food out and asked if we wanted a shake or something instead. We asked for a refund instead and were told that since we did not pay at the store they could not refund us and we would have to call online to request a refund. We called online to request a refund and were told they they could not refund us our money and that we would have to call our bank and tell them the charge was not authorized. This was a horrible experience that will not be forgotten. This whole process was supposed to be easy and it was not. To top it all off they think a coupon for a $.50 ice cream was going to suffice when we called. How can you offer a shake but not have ice cream? Aren’t shakes made out of ice cream?

   I have had points taken when trying to place an order online and it day it doesn't go through but your points are gone and both and on top of it you spent a lot of money to rack up the points

   completely stuck on a whitescreen on startup. Using a galaxy s10+ which should be more than enough power to use a 76 mb app
