5/5Works Great Now
Logging in and ordering off the app is easy and user friendly. Once the order is done is where the problems begin. First notice (on the progress bar above order) from the app is your Taco Bell order has been received. The second notice isn’t always true. It says “our taco wizards have started working on your order”. Nope! I’ve placed 3 app orders and only one was being prepared like the app said. When we arrived at the Taco Bell to pick up our other two orders no one was working on our order. No one was at the cash register but when I could get one of their busy employees (not a dig, the employees work hard) to take notice they said the order was still at the cash register. How? The app said it was being prepared. We Paid in Advance. Why is our order being treated like one ordered in store? It should go to a screen of one of their “taco wizards” if ordered online. Not a vacant cash register. Hardly anyone at this Taco Bell uses cash. When the app and the store get on the same page it will probably be a five star app. *****I received a response from the developer. They didn’t read my review correctly because the first thing I said was “Logging in on the app and ordering is easy and user friendly.” ****UPDATE Whatever problems the app had seems to be fixed. No problems the last 3 times I’ve ordered. Gets Five Stars!

3/5Used to be one of the best ordering apps
About a year ago I started using the Taco Bell app 2-4 times a month to order ahead and I was surprised by how great it was. Easy to log in, menu was laid out intuitively, the checkout flow was pretty good and I could favorite items I had customized to reorder later. Over the last six months the app has been going downhill. The menu now has a loading wheel anytime I go between menu items or go back to a category. Something changed on the backend and it now takes way longer than it should to navigate around the app because the loading wheel pops up as each screen loads. The login used to be one tap for Sign In With Apple, now when the app logs me out it is multiple taps to log in with Apple. Checkout has gotten slower as well. I pay with Apple Pay and I have to tap 3 or 4 times to just pay and then there is a 20 second loading while my order goes through and I have to keep the app open as it does this or my order doesn’t go through. What happened? The app was great and now it is clunky, slow, and too many taps per action. Also, I can apply a reward from the rewards screen but when I’m viewing my cart I can’t see what rewards I have and I have leave my cart and go to my rewards screen to find out if I have anything to apply to my order. Six months ago I would have given the app 5 stars and now I give it 3 because I like how intuitive the menu is, but now so much is working like a 2 star app.

4/5convenient, but some fixes are NEEDED
i like the app due to its convenience, but there are some issues that need to be fixed. and i know it’s not just me because i’ve seen other ppl having this same exact problem as me in these reviews. there are certain drinks that aren’t available on the app. for me, it’s that you can’t order the mango brisk through the app, cuz that’s my #1. next issue, please make it so you can swap the hard shells on a cheesy gordita crunch. i love swapping the regular shell for a doritos locos shell when i get these, and I saw another review that stated you used to be able to do this on the app but now you can’t. okay final issue. I can never get the receipt scanner to work for points. I haven’t been using my app lately because of the issues listed above, so to get my reward points I always scan my receipt. however, I have not been able to scan one receipt the whole time I’ve owned this app. (several months now, and i eat a lot of taco bell bro. like a lot) so every single time I want to earn rewards points, I have to enter that 15 digit number underneath the barcode. it’s a huge pain honestly I don’t know if that problem occurs for anybody else or if it’s just me. however, I’m still giving you four stars because of the convenience of the app even though I don’t really use it anymore because I can’t order my favorite drink or customize my food the way i want to on there.

4/5Used to love this app….. now it’s just a constant frustration
UPDATE: The developer reached out to me and fixed the problem I was having with the app. I love online ordering and always use it when it’s an option so I’ve been using the Taco Bell app for quite awhile. In the past I would have given the app 5 stars. And I was pretty happy when rewards were added. Now for at least a month or so it says “log in failed” no matter what I try to login to the app. I still get emails and notifications that I have rewards waiting… and notifications that my rewards are about to expire. For instance I have a reward expiring today. I just ordered from Taco Bell but wasn’t able to log in to use the reward so had to pay regular price. Maybe a little thing but it makes me very frustrated. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app numerous times. So between the app now failing to log in ever and my local Taco Bell consistently forgetting to pay attention to the direction to leave the spicy sauce off my 2 year old’s food and leaving off items from my meal (they have forgotten my cinnamon twists more often than not) I am no longer excited to pick up food from Taco Bell. My local restaurant has pretty crappy customer service when fixing their mistakes too. The combination of app and store problems has my family choosing other options more often than not these days. Unfortunately we’re in a fairly rural area which limits our options to begin with or we’d likely never go back. Once upon a time I tried submitting a complaint online. I got a call back within a few days promising they’d work on order accuracy and would give me a coupon for my trouble but I never got anything.

2/5Location changes and no order cancellation option
I like taco bell. I like the food and the prices especially the online exclusive boxes. But I really really really hate the app. This issue has happened to me twice now and I know how to learn from my mistakes and expect and prevent an issue from happening again after it happened once already. I place an order, before I do that I choose my location and varify it on maps on my phone, not even the app becayse I love to double check and make sure. I make my order and before I place it, I check the location AGAIN. I am always checking the location of the taco bell to make sure it is the one I am going too aka the one nearest to me. Once I place the order, it SWITCHES the location to a different one that is 20mins away from me. I am writing this at work on my 30min lunch break right now because this has just happened to me AGAIN, after I double checked the location so I KNOW it is not my fault, and I don't have enough time to place another order, go pick it up and eat it and get back in time to clock back in. This is really inconvenient, the taco bell next to my work is litterally a 3min drive away and the app still decided to switch to a location 18min away. Now I have another 3hrs in my shift once my break is over but no food to eat or time to find another option. Thanks a lot taco bell. You need to add a l "cancel order" option, even if you can only cancel it 3mins after placing it, that would have solved this stupid problem.

Delivery. Luxe box cheesy potatoes no sour. Pintos and cheese add sour. Guess what happened? They switched it. Photos available of order and of food. No straws, silverware or napkins...

It use to be a decent app. Every time I try to use the mobile order app it tells me the item is no longer available. I am only ordering the chicken quesadillas combo so no idea why that keeps happening. When I go in store the app code to gain points will not take so I am not building points on my visit. This is extremely frustrating. Fix your app.
