  1. 4/5Do better...but I’ll still go here.

I had to download this app since the website is so terrible. The only way to continue through this app was by adding food to my cart, closing and then re-opening the app every time I added food. Our small town mom and pop restaurants have better online ordering services. Only two stars because I THINK I was actually able to complete my order. UPDATE: Context is important. My online order to Dickeys a few weeks earlier never made it to the store even though I had the confirmation email. Very annoying since I was on a time crunch but not the worst thing to deal with. The employees at the Benson, AZ store more than made up for the inconvenience simply by their understanding demeanor. Two things are consistent, the food is great and the employees I’ve dealt with were very very understanding and accommodating. The fact that I got a response from their app developer let’s me know that they care...this warrants a two star update. Not perfect, but still very good.

  2. 2/5This app is great… when it works

The Dickeys app would be fantastic if it actually worked well. The items are never up to date in regards to what meats the restaurant actually has or does not have. It also does not have all of the available sides listed on there, so if you want a side other than what is in the app, you have to add modifying instructions at the bottom and just hope that the restaurant sees it. I could honestly deal with the issues above, but the app not actually functioning is the biggest problem. When I go to add in my order, I have to click multiple boxes, and the app tends to refresh in the middle of me adding an item. Every time it does that, it deletes all of the above entries (so if I’m adding a plate with sides, it all gets erased). This typically can happen every 5 or 10 seconds, so if I am trying to add in an order, I have to do it at lightning speed or everything will get deleted repeatedly. Because of this, it is nearly impossible to add in any modifier comments on an order. Half the time, I can’t even get an order put in, so I just give up and get food somewhere else. I have a newer phone, and the app is up to date, so this is an issue with the app itself.

  3. 3/5App is constantly crashing

I keep trying to order food from your app, and in spite of all of the recent “updates” and “bug fixes,” it’s worse now than ever before. No matter how many times I logout and log back in, shut the app down and restart it again, turn my phone off and on again, the app just keeps crashing. It will not give me a list of restaurants in my area to order from, so without that, there’s no way to order and nothing else to do on the app. And the rewards screen doesn’t have a clue who I am, even though my name is on my profile. All I keep seeing is error messages that say “something is wrong” … um, obviously. But I don’t have this kind of time to keep messing around with it, hoping that “someday” it’ll work. So I guess I’m just going to delete the app. Maybe when you get it working again I’ll think about eating at Dickies again, but until then, it’s unlikely that I’ll be back.

  4. 3/5Food is Great, App not so much

I am new to the world of eating at Dickey’s. When I first heard that they were opening up a restaurant in my area I thought it was a joke and I laughed. Why? Because I live in Kansas and Texas barbecue is inferior. (I lived in Texas a lot longer than I have in Kansas and so I do speak from experience, and barbecue is literally the only thing about Kansas that I like at all.) The first time I tried it I was very unimpressed and figured they wouldn’t be open long, but I did give them another chance and now love them. The app, however, is very irritating. The app works just fine when I’m at home and just looking it over. The problem is that there are special deals that are only available by ordering from the app (the cashiers are unable to match the app’s prices on their end), yet it seems like the app doesn’t want to work while I’m at the restaurant and needing to order something. This has happened to me on numerous occasions.

  5. 2/5App Full Of Bugs

If the review was for the food it would be Five stars. But this is a review of the app. The app is so full of bugs it barely deserves two stars. There are always items in the app that aren’t available. The store either substitutes or has to call you. It’s not items they’re out of either; they state the whole chain hasn’t offered the item is over a year. There is no confirmation of delivery address before submitting order. There is no delivery address listed in the email that follows the order. When adding options to a plate it’s not clear if it’s been selected or not until you confirm the order. The selection is just two different colors of grey. Not an X or check mark or a green or red check mark. The delivery status between each step again uses two similar color of grey and it’s a think line. It’s not easily clear what status your order is at. A solid green line with solid green circles as it moves through the process would help so much. BIG ONE: The delivery address is ALWAYS wrong. I have ONE address on my profile. I also have one address with DoorDash (in my area) who Dickey’s uses not that it makes a difference since it’s just a handoff from Dickeys to DoorDash. The street and house number that prints at the store never matches what in my account. I always have to call the store to correct the address, otherwise it get left at some strangers house. This is just the big stuff. Many other issues. They need have a talk with their app developer!
