   Linda Carrington’s team has become a staple for my family’s tax service needs. Their efficiency and professionalism is unparalleled. Before COVID-19, going to their office in person was like visiting family. This year, I wondered how were we going to overcome this obstacle that the pandemic has created. All of my concerns have been put to rest when I came to drop off my tax documents. Linda’s team took my documents and explained an easy to use way of electronically getting this done. No fuss.    Ironic that an app to help upload tax documents would be a bit hard to operate thereby making it more difficult for our tax preparer to complete our taxes who needed us to reload documents. The sole reason I downloaded the app was the upload feature. I am sure the upload was unclear on my accountant’s side most in part to operator error. “Stupid user”, says every app-developer of a short lived app. It’s actually a great app to have in the long-run to access documents with loads of real future convenience potential. It lays things out in an orderly fashion. Big props to our long-time accounting firm for embracing the use of a technology focused on my benefit as the client. Maybe the developers could fix the camera feature to slow down the time (or maybe it is to increase the time) allowed to center on a document, and definitely add a better set of cropping and centering features for uploading from a camera. In my case I took several sets of photos before settling on “the best I could get the program to take”. I’m probably spoiled by the camera program on my phone making cropping so simple normally. Otherwise, this app is on to something great. Thanks for this next step in innovation- keep trying. Efforts much appreciated. See you again next tax season.

3. 5/5Tremendously helpful tool

   Canopy has been a great tool where we can utilize a CPA office that is somewhat distant and rather than mailing things back and forth we drop it all on Canopy. When the annual tax return is done it is sitting there where I can easily email it to lenders and partners. Also, it is convenient to store our corporate info such as ID numbers etc on there for reference when we aren’t in the office. Lastly, when we switched firms, the former firm gave the new firm our credentials and all of our historicals were right where we needed them to be- even huge programs like LACERT data went over seamlessly.

4. 5/5User Friendly and Convenient

   I was going to my job to scan and send tax documents to my tax preparer, but I decided to view the app first. I am glad I did! I was able to understand the instructions, scan, and upload what was requested within minutes. This saved me travel, gas, and time which I'm always excited about. I look forward to learning about the other features of this app and how it will help me and the preparer make filing taxes less stressful.

   Excellent customer service! Very patient dry concise and always looking for ways to get the most out every return! Would not go anywhere else! This Tax service has their very own app and wow what a convenience! Very user friendly and coming soon payment feature to be inserted. And they are available all year round! I highly recommend C&L Tax service to any individual or business!😊👍🏻❗️☑️
