  1. 1/5Repeated Exchange Failures, App Crash etc

I have spent an hour trying to initiate a simple swap. The app could not make it happen, for at least 1 hour and 15 min I have been trying and retrying to get this to go through. Super frustrating and I’m pretty disappointed and irritated. I will never use this app (particularly if it’s a time sensitive transaction) since it was absurdly unreliable and ineffective. I would go to enter text into a field (amount or address etc) and the keyboard would disappear - only fix restart the app. Turning my VPN off didn’t seem to help because these issues continued. Just barely got the transaction submitted but now I’m in a time crunch waiting on blockchain validations. Ugh!! 🤬

  2. 4/5PRIVACY

Only reason I got it at 4 is because if you don’t know anything more than buying bitcoin on cash app then it may be slightly confusing but it’s user friendly and easy to pick up on plus they have bots thats are not terrible but they still are bots that have no real final decision if you do run into a problem….i sent my mom bitcoin to a monero wallet and it says that they won’t pay any money back but some how the got my money turning back to the right coin and in the right wallet. I also have called and have never gotten a person so….

  3. 5/5The BEST open source, non-cold wallet.. wallet

I’ve been using cake wallet for I think about 3 or 4 years… it’s had its bugs over the years… I’ve never lost a transaction and I’ve even gotten in contact with support that helped with an issue relatively quickly… the reason why I say it’s the best… is because it 100% is self custody.. like other wallets, with their super simple swaps and sends and almost feels like an exchange UI…I wouldn’t trust those wallets all that much tbh… to have control over your nodes and the ability the be on a private server is literally the best thing you can ask for in crypto wallets. You can generate new addresses for security. they have privacy send features for even bitcoin wallets. They supports all the good cryptocurrencies, and the best crypto for real anonymity, XMR… which btw you can mine with your computer (mine basically nothing, unless you got an m3-4max MacBook or Mac Pro) hey, you support the network and get to see how the mining process works in real time. GO WITH CAKE WALLET. GO WITH PROOF OF WORK CRYPTOS… and solana and SUI …. Also LTC is a sleeper waiting to rocket to its rightful spot.

  4. 5/5Amazing App, Amazing Customer Support

Let’s set aside how great & convenient the app itself is for a moment (it is both and excels in basically all ways) The customer support offered by an app-based non-custodial crypto wallet is unparalleled. Every single time I have contacted support I have received replies promptly (in some cases immediately) and they have been exceedingly helpful and professional. Great people, who actually care and who do whatever they can to address your issues as promptly as possible. There’s much more I could say, but for now I’ll just say thank you Cake Wallet & S/o to MoneroBull! <3

  5. 1/5Great app, bad for accessibility - Please support VoiceOver

I really want to use Cake Wallet because it is open source and supports Monero, but as a completely blind iPhone user, I simply can’t use it independently. VoiceOver accessibility is not where it needs to be. Many buttons are unlabeled or are announced simply as “Button,” making it impossible to know what they do. Navigation is inconsistent, focus sometimes jumps unpredictably, and some controls cannot be accessed or understood with VoiceOver at all. Tasks that should be straightforward, such as creating a wallet, sending funds, receiving funds, or navigating settings, become frustrating or impossible without sighted assistance. This is especially disappointing because a cryptocurrency wallet should allow users to maintain their independence and privacy. Blind users should not have to rely on another person just to manage their own money. I hope the developers prioritize accessibility by properly labeling controls, improving VoiceOver navigation, and testing the app with real blind users. Cake Wallet has the potential to be an excellent wallet for everyone, but until accessibility is taken seriously, I cannot recommend it to other VoiceOver users.
