  1. 1/5Requires Drivers Lic

I’m required to use this app to view EOBs for my health insurance. I already have several apps related to managing this so I’m already annoyed. Upon logging in it requests my address, cell phone number (which they already had since they texted to verify my sign in), and a photo of my drivers license. If you don’t provide your DL you can’t access your insurance information at all. I already linked my verified insurance account and can’t see and legal reason to provide my DL. In this day where data is hacked constantly, I’m not comfortable giving anyone more information than is absolutely required so I won’t be using this app. There’s not even an explanation of why this data is needed. No thank you.

  2. 1/5Terrible app

The app most of the time will not connect my already entered information. Like my insurance, ID ect. So it won’t let me connect. When it does connect and show all of my information nothing will load. Billing, messages, nothing! I have been trying for weeks to set up payments plans since this is the only way to set up customized monthly payments. Beyond frustrating! And the few times it would allow me to log into billing every time I tried to enter in the account information it tells me there is nothing connected to that account number . I know my birthdate and my daughter’s birth date and the account numbers are sitting right in front of me!!your app is trash.

  3. 1/5Awful system

The previous online portal I had access to my wife’s and all my kid’s accounts (and still do). But with this app? I can’t see any of my dependent’s info, including billing. I reached out to support and apparently I have to show up in person to some mystical office that no one can tell me where is, and have my dependents, including my 3 week old twins, give me access? Access to the parent, who is listed on all the mailed statements as the responsible party? Makes no sense. It’s like they don’t want me to pay the bills. Horrible system. I’ll just keep using the browser portal, it actually works.

  4. 1/5Do not like for multiple reasons

First of all, this app requires you to download a copy of your ID (remember your signature is on it and can be copied) which I find offensive and insecure. Secondly, not all patients can use this app to see their medical information because they haven’t switched over yet (Illinois). Thirdly, they didn’t inform patients using the Ascension Rx app for prescription refills that that app could no longer be used and only the Ascension One app could be used for prescription refills. The Ascension Rx app is still available in the App Store as of August 11, 2025. You should remove it if it’s no longer usable. And maybe put a message on the old app letting patients know about the change instead of frustrating them.

  5. 1/5Privacy? What privacy?

Please read the privacy statement before you consent. Yikes! They want access to way too much information just to register for a log in. Why does a vendor to Ascension, who allegedly is only used to verify identity, need: “Commercial information, including purchasing history.” “Internet or other electronic network activity information, including how you interact with our Website, search history or other Website analytics information.” “To promote and offer our Products, and those of our selected partners, through co-branded service offerings and joint marketing. To understand your preferences, make recommendations, and deliver personalized offers and communications.” “Sensory data, including audio, electronic, visual or similar information (e.g., photos, videos or recordings of you and your environment).” “Geolocation data.” And on and on. Users of this service aren’t the users. They’re the product.
