1. 5/5Seamless Booking Experience with World of Hyatt App: A Missed Opportunity for My Virginia Beach Trip

   I recently utilized the World of Hyatt app to book accommodations for my trip to Virginia Beach, and I must say, the experience was incredibly smooth and convenient. The app's user-friendly interface made it easy to browse available properties, compare amenities, and make a reservation with just a few taps. Booking a hotel through the World of Hyatt app was a breeze, and I appreciated the seamless process that allowed me to secure my accommodations in just a few minutes. The app provided detailed information about the hotel, room options, and pricing, making it simple to find the perfect place to stay for my trip. While I was impressed with the ease of booking through the app, I was disappointed that my World of Hyatt card did not arrive in time to book this particular trip. I had been looking forward to taking advantage of the card's benefits and rewards, but hopefully it will arrive before I depart. Despite this setback, my overall experience with the World of Hyatt app was positive. The convenience and efficiency of booking accommodations through the app made the process stress-free and enjoyable. I look forward to utilizing the app for future travel plans and hopefully being able to fully enjoy the benefits of my World of Hyatt membership on my next adventure.

2. 1/5Poor App for Globalist

   I was excited to become a Globalist and eager to leverage the awards I had earned. However, when I started receiving Category 1 to 7 awards, I noticed they were nearing expiration while I was unable to book reservations at my preferred hotels. The majority of these hotels were not accepting award bookings, and customer service was unable to assist. It seems that each hotel manages its policies independently, with no central regulation to ensure loyalty program members can fully utilize their benefits. Additionally, hotels do not have clear categories, nor do they always appear on the map when searching by state, country, or region. Hyatt Concierge offers the same level of assistance as emailing customer support, where each response comes from a different representative, leading to inconsistency. My friends who introduced me to Hyatt have already left for Marriott due to better customer service, a wider range of hotels in various locations, and more flexibility. Hyatt’s growth is slow, especially in certain countries, and its customer support is lacking. The app’s filters and search functions are ineffective, making it difficult to find options. Ultimately, while earning awards is possible, utilizing them is challenging due to restrictive policies.

3. 5/5Good experiences at Grand Hyatt Manila

   I recently stayed at Grand Hyatt, Manila, Philippines, for couple of weeks and got very nice experience there. 1 location: the location of the hotel is in BGC area, and this is a very safe and newly developed area in Manila. You can walk in the streets in the evening without worries. There are shopping malls and restaurants around the hotel for your choices. 2 staff: the staff of the hotel is very helpful and friendly. The Hyatt Club is very well organized with good offering of food and drinks. The manager Grace and all of her staff are so accommodating, and I felt that we almost became friends. BTW, if some one who is not so mobile, the hotel also provides wheelchairs. 3 rooms: rooms are not big, unlike hotel rooms in the US. They are very clean and very new. Two times cleaning per day with plenty of bottled water, tea sets, and good supply of minibar. We had 2 suites, both with a separated living area. You can add a bed in the living room by request. There is a construction site next to the hotel and ask for higher level if you face that side. 4 restaurants: I tried two restaurants in the hotel, rooftop Peak and the China Garden on the fifth floor. Highly recommend the Chinese restaurant. Peak is with a great view and atmosphere but the food did not impress me too much. In summary, I will always use this hotel when I am in Manila. It is also one of the best Grand Hyatts I stayed around the globe. Believe me, I do spend enough nights per year in Hyatt hotels.

4. 4/5App needs fixing bugs

   Overall the app is well done, organized and easy to use. There are just a few issues that need to be fixed to improve the user’s experience. First, some hotel have age restrictions as to what is considered a child and an adult. This information could be easily added to the hotel description. This would allow to make a reservation on the app and not be surprised when arriving at the hotel with additional charges. For example, if 12 years and older is considered adult, put it in the description. Second, the app seems to not allow you to select an age for your child as it is stuck on 1. Third, it would be lovely if you would fix the favorite option on the app. As of now, one can put hearts (make a hotel a favorite) but it will not be added to your list of favorites.

5. 4/5Impossible to book by phone

   I was having a problem with the app to book a room. So I called the number. And your representative that answered was very hard to understand. Because I speak English, and the other person was doing their best. Which wasn’t that good. After having to have her repeat herself multiple times and when it came to the price of the room, it was higher than what was posted on my app and her response was for me to reboot my Internet because prices changed. At this point, I have had enough and told her goodbye. I look up my member number and was able to book my room at the price that was shown on the app not the higher price. She was trying to charge me. If this happens again, I might have to find me a new favorite hotel.
