1. 2/5Catch up!! Add features offered on website!!

   I like that I can review and add all available coupons easily, but the app is seriously slow with lots of delays and doesn’t include features that are offered on the Winn Dixie website. There is no “Add to Cart” on the app, which makes using the app almost pointless! I clip coupons when I have time throughout the week and I add items to my list throughout the week, but it doesn’t do me any good if I want to create an order for pick up or delivery. In that case, I can only use the website, which means I have to go back and forth between the website and app to see which items I have clipped a coupon for and/or added to my list, and add everything (again) to an order on the website. Because of this, I keep my list in Publix and usually go there, even though it is farther away and more expensive, because the Winn Dixie app doesn’t have the same features.

   I have never been able to input text into the search bar, it is unresponsive when I click on it and I am not able to type nor paste text of an item to search for. The bell for notifications or the scanner icon on either side of the search bar work just fine, just not the search bar itself. I can pull up the website on my phone and am able to search there, just not within the app itself. Edit - in response to feedback from developer suggesting that I update the app, I was using the latest version of the app as all apps are updated automatically at this point. The error still exists. I have been to a Winn-Dixie multiple times and have seen employees instruct customers to “just use the app” when it seems quite evident that customers are experiencing the same issues. For the lack of resolve and lack of awareness to complaint I’m downgrading my review to 1 star

3. 1/5Absolutely Terrible

   This app barely works. It typically won’t load the ad so it’s just a grey page with a never ending loading circle in the middle that just keeps going around and around and doesn’t stop or load anything. If on the off chance the ad does load and allows you to add things to your list, once you go into the list it doesn’t show up properly with the price/sale information and just lists the item or if it’s multiple items available for a deal it may not even list what you were interested in and the picture doesn’t show up so you’re left to wonder why you added it to the list or what the sale was. When I’ve spoken to employees the only response is “delete and redownload the app” which I’ve done numerous times just to get the same poor results. Obviously it isn’t their job or fault but they must get tired of being asked the same question repeatedly. I’ve been in multiple states and used apps for all of the major supermarkets I’ve needed to shop in and this is BY FAR the worst. The only thing it’s good at is being a consistent let down. If so many other major supermarkets can manage an app like this since they’re all essentially the same app with the same features I would hope that Winn-Dixie could get this figured out. What a disappointment.

   I work at Winn Dixie and I have a lot of my customers telling me that the app is not letting them do the mystery bonus, another issue is a lot of them including myself don’t know how to use the mystery bonus because it just says “active or deactivated” but what do they do after? Do we just input are phone numbers on the pin pad at check out and will be applied? Also their is nothing to tell us when the points expire. Now in store where having a big issue with the coupons that print out after the receipt that say “ $12 off $40 or $20 off $100 etc” a lot of them don’t work and I know they tell us to have them activate it in the app but when they go and try to do that it doesn’t show. & when you scan any of the coupons it says “ not active in your store” Please make updates to your app, a lot of the customers are upset and frustrated because they don’t understand this new update and coupon issue.

5. 2/5Not User Friendly

   For being such a large supermarket, Winn Dixie unfortunately has the worst shopping app I’ve ever used. You can’t search to see the sale items, it just shows you a ton of items that match your search (it’s nice to know the inventory but it would be helpful to have a section specifically for the sale items that match my search criteria). Secondly, added items to your list don’t get deleted once the sale is over, nor are they separated from the new sale items which means you have to manually go in each week and delete your entire list before adding any new items from the ad that week. In addition, you can’t make the liquor store “your store” which is fine except the alcohol ad only appears sometimes in the ad section, other days you have to just go to the store to see if your liquor is on sale or not (which leaves some, like myself, exploring other stores instead). Many times when you are looking through the ad for too long, the app will exit you out of the ad and give you an “error” message when you try to click on the ad again. This forces you to close the app completely and start over. The app advising where each item is in the store would be an added bonus but there are several store apps (such as Sam’s Club) that don’t show you and they are still considered much more user friendly than the Winn Dixie app. I’m not one to write reviews but I’m disappointed to say that the app has only deteriorated in quality over the years and I truly wish they would allocate more time/funding to making this app a bit better for shoppers. Overall, this app is below standards in regards to what you would expect out of such a large supermarket.
