  1. 5/5Better than Zwift

I’ve been riding on Zwift since 2015. IMO, indieVelo is superior. Trainer resistance is lowered when you are in the draft. You can’t take sharp turns at supersonic speeds. Bots are credible cyclists, with FTP and W’. Virtual gearing is available for all smart trainers. The HUD is customizable. L/R balance and Cycling Dynamics can be displayed in real time if your power meter supports them. Free rides, pace bots, structured workouts, and events are all supported. In over 24 hours of riding (so far), the platform has been rock solid. Best of all, the developer is responsive to feedback!

  2. 5/5Legit competition for Zwift!

Agreed! This might be better than Zwift! I’ll give it a few more weeks, but after trying the platform, I love it! Realistic and there are additional pedaling metrics (L/R balance, torque, efficiency) if your trainer or power meter cranks/pedals support this feature. Wind speed and direction are variables factored into racing events on this platform. It’s the Beta version trial and so far I haven’t had any issues. (Helpful tip) TPV uses lots of memory just like Zwift. To prevent the app from crashing, Make sure you either remove the Zwift app or other apps using lots of memory (or increase your storage). Developer feedback was fast and helpful within 24 hours. Solved my crashing issue and it works great!

  3. 4/5Good, not yet great—but steadily improving

Performs as well as Zwift (maybe a touch better in some ways) at a basic level. Obviously a long way to go yet in terms of variety and the quality of the scenery. It doesn’t yet integrate fully with my Garmin NEO Bike, but is clearly making progress: they recently added terrain response, but it does not yet support road feel. The fact it requires manually syncing with Garmin Connect is also a miss. Even so, it’s a no brainer given it’s part of TrainingPeaks Premium, which I happily pay for anyway!

  4. 5/5Great after 5 minutes (UPDATED)

Had issues before with correct power and cadence. Turned out my trainer failed around the first time I used the app. My old review was largely positive for all the thing one would expect in a virtual bike world. Some minor complaints for the UI and usability compared to the other popular bike apps. Since then the team has been rolling out constant updates and the product is near perfect. Highly recommend this app.

  5. 4/5Great App - Currently has an issue with battery drain

I wanted to report this through the bug report feature, but it’s disabled for this app. The app itself functions perfectly when I use it, but it rapidly drains the battery of my iPad when minimized/idle afterwards. There is a workaround in that I can force-close it after I’m done working out, but if I forget, then it is guaranteed to deplete my battery. Otherwise, fantastic app! When my issue is resolved, I will upgrade my score to 5 stars.
