  1. 5/5Love this app!

Sonar is a game-changer in the world of health and fitness apps. As someone who has over 7 different wellness apps across 3 different devices, it’s tough to track all of my various metrics and data. I’m so glad I finally found an app to combine all of this information into one central hub! It’s super easy to navigate even if you’re not tech-savvy, and it presents your data in visually appealing graphs to help identify trends in your routine. Sonar has definitely simplified my health journey and I could not recommend it more!

  2. 5/5Refreshing approach! (And great data)

There are so many of these apps. So so many. I have downloaded and tried just about all of them. The subscription prices for some of them are just nuts. Some of the subscription prices are fair. I’m seeing more crazy prices than not. Sonar gives you good information and makes you want to give them money without them trying to hold you hostage for additional features. I think I’m going to end up settling on about three of these apps and the ones that cost more than they should, hopefully there will be a Christmas sale. Other than that, this one is definitely extremely solid and one that I will keep and I will happily give them money without them extorting it from me! Thank guys!

  3. 5/5One App to Rule Them All

In comparison to other similar apps, like Bevel and Athlytic, Sonar has three strengths: (1) configurability; (2) integration support; and (3) appearance. Want to reorder a section, hide a metric, change a view? No worries. Want a place to aggregate your data from Oura, Withings, Apple Health, and Strava? You found it. Want that data to be attractively presented against beautiful and configurable backgrounds? You got it. Want pages and pages to drill down through, with all the data explained and presented with accompanying actionable insights? Sonar’s got you covered. I didn’t realize at first that this is exactly the app I’ve been looking for because it wasn’t set up the way I wanted right out of the box. Once I took the time to tweak everything, though - holy cow. I will no longer need to check multiple apps daily and piece my health picture together across them. Sonar is my new one-stop-shop.

  4. 5/5Consolidation Power!

I’ve been using Sonar for a couple weeks now and love how I am able to see everything from all sources in one place. The app functionality and graphics are intuitive and clean, with a lot of good advice thrown in. Even though you can add multiple streams of info from numerous sites (i.e.: Strava, Apple Health, Training Peaks, etc) the app will not duplicate your data or workouts. There is also ways to prioritize sources if you want to. In the first week I did have an issue with some of my nutrition info from Cronometer not making it into Sonar. Their customer service and tech team followed up promptly, resolved the issue in a couple days, and followed up with me throughout the process to make sure their fixes worked. No chat bot involved LOL!

  5. 3/5It's OK?

I've been using this app along with four others for the past six months or so. I love the idea of being able to choose how to sync and show the data from different sources. However outside of that, the presentation of data is a mess. It's missing a lot of data points that are present in its competitors. This is despite the fact that it's just as pricey as those competitors. I get where this is going and it may have potential. Adding features like journaling and food tracking may or may not help. Journaling would be the one I would most like to see personally.

Introducing Sonar 4.0 Sonar 4.0 is a major step forward in personalized health, introducing Sonar AI, a redesigned Home screen, a brand new Trends experience, expanded customization, more free features, and faster performance. Sonar AI Sonar AI is your personal health agent, built directly into Sonar and connected to data across your wearables, health apps, and connected devices. Available for Pro users, it helps you ask questions, explore trends, understand changes in your scores, and get more context around sleep, recovery, strain, nutrition, stress, energy reserve, workouts, and more. Sonar AI can remember important personal context and use it to make future conversations more helpful. Tell it you’re training for a marathon, feeling sick, traveling, or trying to improve a habit, and Sonar can apply that context going forward. Access Sonar AI from the new tab, Ask Sonar AI buttons on Home and Trends, or by tapping insights throughout the app. You can adjust tone and response length, use voice input, manage memories, copy or share responses, and rate responses with thumbs up or down. Sonar AI supports general wellness and helps you understand your data. It does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment, and does not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional. You’ll also see AI-generated insights across Home and Trends, updated throughout the day as new data comes in. Tap an insight to expand it, and tap again to collapse it. Redesigned Home screen Home has been rebuilt to give you a real-time view of how you’re doing today. All major scores now live on Home, including Recovery, Sleep, Strain, Nutrition, Energy Reserve, and Stress. Home now includes redesigned sections for Daily Goals, Nutrition, Training, Sleep, Strain Target, and Vital Trends, covering calories, macros, blood glucose, recent workouts, cardio load, sleep stages, daily strain targets, and key vitals. Customize Home by tapping Edit Home. Brand new Trends screen The former Health tab has been replaced with a brand new Trends screen. While Home shows how you’re doing today, Trends helps you understand how you’re doing over time. Focus Trends on categories like Activity, Sleep, Nutrition, Body Composition, Recovery, Heart, and more. When you select a category, the screen updates with relevant metrics, charts, comparisons, and insights. Trends includes Compare Metrics, Correlation, Community Insights, redesigned charts, AI insights, interactive chart controls, and a new Favorites category for creating your own custom view. Compare up to six metrics, explore how two metrics move together, compare to similar users, and long press charts to reveal a data marker. Faster navigation across time On Home, Trends, and Activity, you can swipe from the left or right edge to move between time periods. Trends and Activity also include new calendar popups for jumping to the period you want to review. Charts now default to the most recent week, month, or year of data instead of calendar periods. Backgrounds and app structure We’ve expanded wallpaper variety, with backgrounds that change across the day. Wallpapers are unified across the main screens, can subtly dim as you scroll, and support custom blur from Edit Home > Update Wallpaper > Blur. Use any image as your background. Sonar 4.0 also introduces a redesigned tab bar. Profile has moved to the top right, and a new Add tab makes it easier to sync a device, add data, or add and view appointments. More free features Current-day Recovery, Sleep, Strain, and Nutrition scores are now free for all users. Progress Report in Trends is now free as well, along with the new daily Strain Target section. Free users can also view recaps of any previous week on Activity. Performance improvements All main screens have been rebuilt for a smoother experience. We’ve also optimized Energy Reserve, improved Activity scrolling for large workout histories, and added HRV support for Zepp & Amazfit users.
