1. 2/5Clunkiest Airline App

   It doesn’t remember most recent cities, or dates. There’s no easy way to go back one step so you have to start over all the time. Glitchy, slow. Calendar scroll is awkward. At the very end after inserting payment, I got an Error and the only option was to exit and start all over. I gave up and went on Expedia and purchased the same flight in about 2 minutes. I prefer buying directly with the airline bc you can select seats, but the TAP app made it impossible. Now I’ll have to call TAP for the seats. Such inefficiency for the traveler and the company.

2. 1/5Worst Airline Ever

   First time i have ever left a review for any app or anything really. Our flight was delayed by 2hrs, so we sat on the tarmac for 2hrs for what would be a 7hr flight. When we landed in our layover destination, we had missed our connecting flight due to the delay. The next available flight was over 12hrs later and they only gave us 28 euros for food for the entire day even though we would be there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On top of this, they force you to check in at the counter, but each time they only have 2 employees, so you will be waiting anywhere from 30-60min in line. They also force you to check in your carry-on if you exceed a poorly advertised weight limit. On our way back home, we were forced to wait over an hour in line to check in. I got so fed up that I called customer service and was on hold for over an hour. They never picked up or called back. They seemed to be taking 10min per customer. We barely made it to our flight because they only 2 employees working the check in desk. Somehow, the employee that checked us in also ended up being the person at the gate scanning our boarding passes. It seems this airline is the doing the absolute most possible to maximize profits to the point where their operations is extremely inefficient. The memes or jokes you have heard about spirit are usually just jokes. For TAP Portugal, it is their modus operandi. Never fly this airline!

3. 1/5Is this app supposed to be a joke?

   The app has to be the lamest excuse for an airline app in existence (and I’ve used many). It never notified me of continuing delays on a flight. (TAP sent emails…seriously??). The delay in the first leg of the journey caused me to just miss my connecting flight (I waved to the pilot in the cockpit), and TAP assigned me to another flight many hours later. Never, over the course of almost eight additional hours, did the app give me an updated boarding pass, neither one that I could add to Apple Wallet, nor one that could be viewed or accessed within the app. And never, upon flight reassignment, did my new seat assignment appear in the app, nor in my account in a web browser, either. (Spent 1.5 hours in line just to find my seat.) As gates were assigned, and then changed, for both legs of the journey, those assignments and changes never appeared in the app, nor were boarding passes updated. I don’t understand how this could be considered a working app. Does virtually nothing it should do.

4. 1/5Horrible web site!

   It took over two hours to book my flight! It couldn’t find my mikes and smiles number, couldn’t find me by my name, I tried couldn’t remember password, and that wouldn’t work! It told me to get the link in my email, then it brought me to the beginning and I had to start over! When I got to the end. It was the same thing! Then I tried to register as a new registration and that did the same thing! I went on line for help and they couldn’t help and gave me a number to call! That guy couldn’t help me and just frustrated me more. I eventually just tried to do it as a guest and it told me I wouldn’t get the discount if I didn’t register. I was back on the phone again! Finally I was able to book it on my phone but I was crazy by the time that happened. Now I finally got my confirmation and the layover is changed! It went from a couple hours to 10.5!!! Now I have to call again! 🤬🤬

5. 1/5Horrific - endlessly frustrating

   This app is full of bugs. Rarely can you actually add a flight to the app. The confirmation system via text message doesn’t work. No texts ever send. If you use the email option, it repeats and bugs out and won’t accept any inquiries. You can’t actually book anything through the app, it redirects to another booking process, which is also slow, not user friendly, constantly has errors and bugs where you have to start over, and rarely ever works. Requires passport info every time even if you’ve entered before, and even when it’s not required (domestic flights). Don’t waste your time with this app. You’ll just find yourself endlessly frustrated. Typical Portuguese-level support and development, which is basically bare minimum functionality, if you are lucky. Avoid!
