   At least it appears that they are reading reviews and trying to address some of the issues raised. However this app has a long way to go. With all the very good airline apps out there(united, delta, Lufthansa etc) I’m surprised they can’t figure it out. Some specifics: every time I open the app it wants me to check in- even after I’ve boarded the plane! It asks for the same information multiple times. You can’t easily manage your flight (i.e. look what is going with your connection in the event of a delay) and in the event of a delay there were zero notifications. I was generous with a 3 star rating.

   Unacceptable Experience - Avoid ITA Airways ITA Airways canceled my flight without any valid explanation and kept my money. I tried contacting customer service, but their responses were either dismissive or nonexistent. Instead of resolving the issue, they made the process unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. This is outright theft and the worst customer experience I’ve ever had with an airline. Save yourself the trouble—fly with a company that respects its customers. Worst Airline Experience - Unprofessional and Unacceptable I had a terrible experience with ITA Airways. While I was at the airport, my flight was canceled without any valid explanation. The staff member I dealt with was extremely disrespectful and unhelpful. She falsely marked me as a “no-show” even though I was standing right there, insisting that I figure out how to transfer to the next flight myself. When I tried to explain that this was my flight, she blatantly ignored me. This left me stranded in the airport, forcing me to spend $700 out of pocket to purchase a last-minute flight to Egypt from Rome. I even recorded her on video as evidence of her unprofessional behavior. To make matters worse, my return flight to the U.S. for a critical surgery on January 3rd has now also been canceled, and I have no funds left to book another ticket. ITA Airways has stolen my money, caused immense stress, and demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism. I demand that ITA Airways resolve this immediately: activate my flight, refund my money, and train your employees to treat customers with respect. This level of service is disgraceful and unacceptable for any airline.

   Was late due to a delay out of NY, to my flight in Rome to Naples and they wouldn’t let me on as the doors were closed!I was about 3 minutes late, I went to the ticket counter to rebook and cancel the flight I was booked on that I missed and hopefully get a refund or credit for another flight!Horrible customer service there too! She canceled my flight that I paid $154, for , so I couldn’t get a refund due to not making the flight , and the only other flight that day was $350 to Naples! I had no choice but to book the $350 flight and eat the other one! Tried to resolve this with ITA, but there is no way to even contact them! So frustrating! Never again! So, I paid over $500 for a 35 minute flight from Rome to Naples! Thankfully the rest of my Italian adventure went a lot smoother! 🇮🇹

   It’s honestly kind of hilarious how poorly this airline operates. Italy seems proud to call it their national carrier, but the experience says otherwise. Their lounge didn’t have a single available seat, the domestic terminal felt more like a chaotic amusement park, and aircraft assignments seem totally random—whatever plane lands next is what they use. We booked Business Class, only to end up in standard economy seats after a last-minute aircraft switch. Looking at the flight logs, they used a different plane on the same route every day for a week—only one of which actually had real Business Class seating. At the end of the day, we don’t even care that much about the seat, but when you pay extra expecting proper service, a decent breakfast, and the seats they advertise, it’s a letdown to get an outdated aircraft instead.

5. 1/5Seat change function never works

   I usually try to check in as soon as I can so I can pick my seat, every time I fly with ITA the change seat function doesn’t work properly. The whole “seat map” doesn’t show, it only shows a cropped portion of the seat map maybe 4 rows of seats, and there’s no way to see the full map to choose your seat. Also they’re are one of the few airlines that always gives an error and says they weren’t able to issue a mobile or email boarding pass and they tell you to go to a desk at the airport. Just inconvenient when you fly all the time for work, them and air Europa are the worst
