1. 5/5Great game, just needs more music!

   I loved BeatSaber when it was still available, and this game is a great replacement! The only downside for me, personally, is that a lot of the music available (at least, at the start) is not music I enjoy. I only really play 2 or 3 of the songs in my library, since they’re the only ones I enjoy listening to and can play without struggling through the beatmaps (I can’t do the extreme maps sadly :/ ). If I remember correctly, BeatSaber had you pick a couple of your favorite genres when you first start up, and that influenced the handful of songs you start with. I don’t know if that kind of thing would be possible in future versions, but something like that might be nice later on. Still a great game that’s fun to play. From what I’ve read, the devs at least read and respond to suggestions/reviews. Thank you for the lovely game, Devs :)

2. 2/5It’s Not That Good, Needs A Lot Of Work

   This game is obviously a replacement for BeatStar, as it was previously discontinued. I was so excited to find out that my favorite game was back (kinda), and I had high hopes. I loaded this game up, and it had me a little disappointed. As I played, the game kept saying I didn’t press the right tile, or actually I don’t even know what I did wrong because I didn’t do anything wrong, and I was getting frustrated. When it said I made a mistake, I clicked the continue button for an ad, and all the ads I got were a full minute… wow that’s way too long. I also noticed right off the bat that I can’t see nearly enough when the tiles are coming towards the bar. I can only see the next tiles when they, all of a sudden, appear right in front of my face. I feel like it’s a jump-scare, and I don’t have enough time to prepare. Anyways, I played a few songs, and I noticed that the difficulty while playing a song doesn’t increase as you go through the level, it was kinda the same throughout. I also noticed that the song selection is really.. interesting. I didn’t know most of them, I mean I knew a few but the game started to feel like a mix between BeatStar and Magic Tiles, in the sense where it looks like BeatStar, but the song selection is whacked out. I understand this game is a work in progress, but as of right now, it’s not that great.

3. 1/5Broken Ads System

   This game is pretty cool. I used to play it a lot a couple years ago. I recently redownloaded and was happy to see the game is still around, however I believe it might now be under a new team and they have implemented new ways to continue playing songs after messing up or songs that you still don’t have. That way is: watching ads. Now, I have no issue with that way if that is how the game can work for free, but both times that I stared at my screen waiting for the ad to finish so that I could keep playing I was presented with a “Reward granted” message with an unsable “x” next to it and 2 call to action ads trying to get me to the app store. There was no way to exit that screen and continue playing. Clicking the “x” to continue playing would do nothing and the only way to play again was to completely exit the app, rendering my ad watching not even worth it since I would have to restart the song or the reward for the song I wanted to play was not given. Now, if this is a bug, I hope this review gets the matter fixed, since it’s so annoying it actually got me to write this review. However, if this is an intentional behavior by the developers, I am deeply offended by the practice. Hope it is not the latter and the issue is promptly reviewed and fixed.

   I came over looking for a replacement for Beatstar, like most people, and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t expect this game to be good, but I was proved wrong. I really like this game, but there a few things I would like to change. The first thing is that in Beatstar, there was a setting that made it so normal perfects showed up like greats, and greats showed up as misses, and I would really like that setting. Also, some songs start in the middle of the song, which I don’t like that much. This is a personal preference thing though, so I don’t mind that much. I understand that this can’t just be Beatstar, but I definitely would like more things carried over. Like in Beatstar, there was definitely more area to get perfect+ on arrow notes. Still, overall a great game and I love what you’re doing

5. 4/5Near Perfect Beatstars copy

   Beatstar was one of me and my fiancée’s favorite games to play and after its shut down we looked for something similar, this is by far the closest thing to it. It runs smoothly, it plays just like beatstar(even looks exactly the same) and has a fairly good song count for being newer. That being said, the reason i’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the overwhelming amount of ridiculous songs like beethoven, valkyries, rush E being opened when i try to open a latest hits box. i have never heard these songs in my life yet they make up half of my song count. I keep hoping that every time i open one it will be the last and i can get better songs now but im on rank 9 and im still getting these songs. If this were different it would be an easy 5 stars guaranteed, I love this game and i play it almost every day, but because of this unfortunate situation i can’t give it any more that 4 stars.
