   I registered my business with stripe to do payment processing. We provided all legal documents and identification required. Everything was running smoothly until suddenly we got a notice that our business has been deemed “high risk” and our account will be closed and our funds frozen. What is our business? We are a hotel that uses stripe to process virtual payments. One of our guests disputed a charge. The guest also came and stayed at the hotel and paid in full after realizing that they had mistakenly disputed this charge. Despite providing all evidence to stripe, their response was they could not provide us details on what the reasons for cancelling the account were and furthermore would seize our funds. Now we have several hundred transactions being made, ONE was disputed and subsequently resolved as customer error. We have lost access to our account and funds. I don’t mind if they don’t want to provide their service to us but the manner is which this has happened has been extremely unprofessional and we never had a chance to speak to an actual person. All communication is via bots. Is this the future we can look forward to? A soul less entity that can at will seize your assets and damage your reputation without due cause? I’m taking legal action against this company but what a nightmare this has been. Anyone who has a hotel and uses stripe could suddenly fall under such a scam attack so be aware. I hope I can finally speak to a real person at stripe about this and resolve things amicably.

2. 1/5Slow. Terrible customer service. Ridiculously long and inefficient process to sign up

   I’ve given everything they asked for in order to prove my legitimacy. Nothing is quick. Like 3-5 days in between responses even when I respond in seconds with what they claim to need. After 2 months had gone by I just got fed up and asked for my money I used as my first transaction, 2 50$ payments I used a prepaid visa to get things rolling to ensure there be no problems and funds were guaranteed to be available. They wouldn’t give me my money back. I asked for a refund (taking 3.5 weeks just to get the process started). They refunded 1 transaction and said I had a negative balance and needed to pay the 5$ in processing fees to get my other 50$ back. Being that this is a payment processing company you’d think it’d be easy for them to just let me charge my card and pay the 5$ or have it taken out of my 50$… but nope everything in this process feels like they intentionally make things harder then it needs to be, they’re telling me I have to go into a bank and wire transfer them 4.36$ and then send a copy of the receipt and then wait another 5-10 business days to be added to my account… I’ve tried wiring the money.. there’s a fee and 10$ is the lowest amount you can send.. I have a tax ID number with the IRS and am a licensed contractor and detail luxury cars and install ceramic sealants to cars and have an instagram with my work and clients reviews. I don’t know how much more they would need to confirm my business is legitimate but I honestly feel like iv been scammed and bullied out of my money

3. 1/5MOST INCOMPETENT FINANCIAL INSTITUTION

   STAY AWAY FROM this platform at all costs. There was an issue with matching names between my stripe business account information and my business bank account. I continued to submit supporting documentation multiple time (over 5 times) and instead of calling me to let me know what was it that they were specifically looking for, they kept and continue to decline the document without further explanation. I have contacted their costumer support personnel, which were very polite and had all intentions to help, they were unable to help resolve the issue due to lack of proper training and being inadequately equipped or supported by management. I honestly believe this company is scam and does not actually have licensed accountants to help resolve taxation issues. Why? Well the answer I was given by the rep didn't make sense and didn't sound legitimate. I was told that the name of the business name on the SS4 form given by the IRS didn't match the one on the bank account - which it did - just the bank account didn't have my own name on it because it's a business account and do business as XYZ but it clearly stated I'm the bank account owner. Here we are there weeks later and they're still holding my payout s hostage even after providing proper documents and contacting them multiple times. I'm still waiting on management phone call.

   This app is a total nightmare!!! It’s been a month since I signed up. I received successful payments to my stripe account , I had no idea I had to wait 7 days after Receiving first payment to transfer to your actual bank… ok, that’s fine. But they waited the 7 days to pause my account and inform me by email that my payment was paused due to identity verification. Went back and forth emails , which they reply to in 2-4 days … I successfully verified and was re-enabled to receive payments. I was sent 400 pout of 2500 . I figured I would receive the other payments the next day which is what was scheduled for payout. Next morning I woke up to another email ,this time they wanted to verify my tools ?? They literally asked me hold up a blank sheet of paper with the date next to my tools and send a picture. They asked for emails , texts from customers , pictures of jobs . I sent over a ton of information . I was told I would be re- enabled , so I let it be. Another 5 days later I received yet another email stating that I need to create a website or social media account so I created a instagram on there demand and was once again told I would be verified. Days later after at least 15 phone calls , all useless calls because no one could help I even spoke to a manager and she said it was out of her hands and the appropriate people were taking care of it . Anyways days later I received yet another email informing me that my account will be cancelled and that refunds will be sent to all of my customers. A whole month trying to get things straight with stripe and they have proven to be useless. I give them zero stars if I could

5. 1/5STRIPE, YOU ARE THE WORST APP. You are making me lose my business.

   If you don't want your small business to go bankrupt, don't use this app. I am a Latin woman with a small business that I started 1 year ago with a lot of effort, and sacrifice and thanks to this app I am loosing my business and 3 weeks late with no payment. 3 weeks and half ago I opened my account with Stripe, because I thought it was safe for me and my clients. And it's already been 3 weeks that I haven't been able to pay my business or personal expenses because they are apparently verifying my business when I've sent them all kinds of documentation, screenshots of chats with clients, even a small commercial I did for my business and still they tell me that they cannot verify my business. This is arbitrary and I feel discriminated for being a Latina, a small business and even for being a woman who runs a business. No one from Stripe helps me and I have emailed all Stripe emails and they just tell me that their team is working to verify my business, like if I am illegal or a drug dealer. Wow!!! I am shocked to see how bad is this company. I believe they just say that to use your money to get paid interests and they just take advantage that you have a small business. Please Stripe, do not withhold my money, it’s the money for a service I have provided and I really need it.
