1. 5/5Something is wrong with the app!

   I’ve had the Starbucks app on my phone FOREVER and it’s one of my most frequently used apps outside of social media. Been through many phones, updates and some glitches, but never like this! And I’ve now updated my phone several times, but this glitch persists even after several updates. When I press the order button on the bottom menu, it takes several taps and maybe a minute for it to click over to the menu… THEN, it proceeds to freeze again when you go to select a store, until it finally loads the stores; when I click on my selected store, it clicks back over to the menu only with your “home” store listed as the selected location (even if you selected another location); so then you have to wait for it to load the stores again and the 2nd time you select the store, it finally registers the correct location and takes you back to the menu; at this point, you have to wait for it to kinda unfreeze the menu and then you can finally move forward with placing your order… The whole thing is a giant pain and, like I said, has been happening for a couple of months now, persisting through several phone and app updates. I removed the app from my phone, rebooted my phone, then loaded the app back, rebooted my phone again and it’s STILL doing it! My iPhone is not super old (XS), so I don’t think it’s that, but I’m honestly at my whit’s end with this glitch, it takes SO long to place any mobile order that it takes all convenience and time saving out of the process! PLEASE fix it, Starbucks!!!

2. 5/5Could do a lot better.

   When the application is doing what it should it's great. I use it 2x most days, order a drink and/or lunch or breakfast. My office is just down the block and this high traffic SBUX location could not be more convenient, especially when I pre order and dodge the line of 10-15 people most mornings. BUT over the past week, about half the time I've arrived with my order sticker where my food should be. There is no (text or alert) notification in advance to let me know they're out of the item and, before I got to know that the sticker placed in the pick up area in place of my order means they're out of stock (of the item I ordered)... I've stood there 10+ minutes on a busy day only to catch the attention of a busy barista who shrugs and says we must be out. Then I order all over again and spend 2x longer in store than I should. Completely defeats purpose of the main time saving benefit of the app. SBUX has embraced technology ahead of others (except maybe Dominos Pizza who pioneered ordering via app) and the technology exists to link barcoded inventory to the system so that you can be alerted in near real time that the item you want from that store is currently out of stock. And staff and customers could save time and frustration if the app were to offer up an alternative (based on order history or some algorithm) for a quick fix before sending user back to menu to find another item. Hope to give this app five stars before much longer as I'm a heavy user.

   It's everything I could have wanted. Great convenience, quick info when I want it. I still enjoy using my personal "Starbucks Gold Card", but the App saved the day when I had forgotten my Gold Card & money, but had my phone w/App. For once, thankful for a line at Starbucks, I was able to "manage" /add $ to my Gold Card via my Starbucks App, via my own ($) -card connected to my Strbks App, so I could enjoy my selections and pay using my Starbucks App on my phone. So I have kept my Gold Card w/ my name on it, --I still get a kick out of it--and I continue to use each one whenever I desire. I love them both! I enjoy the HEALTHY BKFST CHOICES quite often, and the ice coffee continues to satisfy me. As The Blues Brothers might say...SATISFYed. I do recommend the Starbucks App. And I hope you also continue to use your personal Strbks Gold Card, too. I think the personalized cards are neat. The App is very cool. Love that I can EASILY SEE MY REWARDS & when they expire, and how many Stars B4 my next Reward. I greatly appreciate the ability to place an order in advance, and then simply breeze in to my Starbucks and pick up my healthy breakfast, and usually two beverages to last me at least through the lunch break. The app is a great Times saver. The Starbucks app is a great time saver, and it also helps me avoid any line that might be in the store. The Starbucks app is like being a VIP at a club with a velvet rope. You can just breeze right in!! I love the app. I use it all the time.

4. 5/5Adding money to cards and not letting people log in

   When I added a gift card and continued to put money on with a credit card it worked out well I would get points and I would get closer and closer to getting a free drink and the 400 star points now when I updated my phone and tried to get a drink I had no points nothing, I then tried to log in again because it had kicked me out of my account and nope it will not let me in. Now I have spent a lot of money on this app and I had at least $20 on the card and where does that go NO WHERE so I just added money to the card for no reason now wasting money. Now when you think I just forgot the password I did not. I use my Finger Print to load up my password so I don’t have to type it, no nothing even when the password was set to be the right one to be out in with my fro her print ID, the password was wrong. So tell me how that works, and I know it is not just me i talked to my friend and she said the same thing happened and she has a newer phone than me so I thought it may just me my phone but no an apple phone that wanted our money when trying to get a drink and get the points along with it. Now I have 0 point when I had, had about 270 and now it’s gone so it’s not just the the points but the money that was on there, how it will not let me log in, how it has happened to other people, how they won’t even send me an email when I asked to change my password, nothing, and I could have gotten a free drink etc. Starbucks better change whatever this is or thy are going to loose costumers online putting money on cards constantly. I’m beyond pist and annoyed.

5. 5/5Cold brew obsessed!

   I just want to take a minute and send in a few names of my favorite baristas! My favorite Starbucks is located at Staples and Saratoga Blvd. in Corpus Christi, Texas! My very favorite barista’s name is Caleb from that location! Caleb is very friendly, very good at his job and remembers my name and my drink when I come in and always makes it perfect! I also love Jeana from that location who always greets me with a smile and a hug when needed (pre Covid-19 of course!) she even paid for my drink on the day I had just had to have my precious Chihuahua put to sleep after almost 17 years of having her and I was in tears. Jeana was amazing and so so kind to me and I will never forget the care and love she showed to me on that sad day. There is also another girl there that I just love, but I can’t remember her name right off! When I find out her name I will let you know because she also deserves recognition for kindness and her beautiful smile! I go out of my way to go to that Starbucks location! There is one other barista that I love too, but he has moved to a different Starbucks location, his name is Gabe and he is also wonderful! Gabe works at the Weber location in Corpus Christi, Texas, but I don’t go to that store often because I love the Staples/Saratoga location so much more and my most favorite baristas are there! Thank you for asking for my review because I have been meaning to write a letter to Starbucks to recognize these baristas and that Starbucks location! Starbucks is my happy place! 🤗❤️

   eh like the app but having major issues, have used the app for years and suddenly it says it can't verify my age with play store. and completely blocks me from the app, there is no reason for this and should use my age thats on my account in the app.

   Used to work fine but lately has been blocking my access. It keeps giving me an "Unknown Age" error saying users under 18 should ask their parents for help. I've been buying coffee at Starbucks for over 18 years so trust me when I say that I'm over 18 and a parent, but I can't figure out how to help. The app needs an update to fix this bug. It is impacting my desire to go to Starbucks and I'm reducing my purchases because of it.
