4/5Great but please add plans within the app
Love the application but I would really like to see the choice of changing your plans for each camera within the app. As of now, you have to go to website login and change it there. Please add the ability to change plans within the app. The Whitetail Almanac app allows you to choose plans within the app. You can keep the interface you have currently just allow the users to click on which plan they’d like within that “window”. As far as firmware updates, they used to be over the air. Now in order to install them you have to physically insert a sd card. I know I was told if your camera is working fine not to upgrade it to new firmware but after I have added a 12V source to all my cameras, I haven’t any of the issues I used to have with AA batteries. Give us the option of updating firmware over the air again and just pop of a warning like: “we recommend not updating firmware if camera if working fine. Do you still wish to proceed?” Then have a yes or no option. I’ve updated all my camera to newest firmware and to be honest they seem to run even better with less battery drain (which was mentioned in one of the firmware updates).

1/5Disappointed customer
First let me say when the cameras work and the software works they are unbeatable. I have currently purchased 3 cameras. My first camera I put up on Thanksgiving Day 2018. It worked until the 31st of December and has been down every since with the exception of each time we try to update the software it works for a couple of pictures. The second camera went down same time but came back up with the update. The third camera I bought yesterday and will not come on line. Signal is not a problem. The land that I am hunting is 2 hours away from my home in Tennessee. I am working 12 hours away in Louisiana so as you can see it is just a little inconvenient for stuff to work as advertised. Fortunately my son is an IT guy and is working with their technical support team but everyone is not that lucky. I have only bought one package and it is on one of the cameras that is not working. I was promised 3 months free on each of the cameras affected which should have taken place this weekend but has not as of yet. I am wanting to purchase packages for the one due but will not until this is made right. My plan was to get 3/4 more cameras over the next few months but I am on stand by until this is fixed and up and running. The camera that is up and running will run out of the free monthly picture quota today. This will give me at days end a $1000 of cameras and $180 worth of subscription and nothing working. If this is made right I will put in a follow up this to rate the technical support. Signed disappointed in Tennessee

4/5Works great (update 6/20 lost a star)
Been very pleased with it so far I knew from my cell service that the area is limited but worked better with Att so bought model for that. I only show 2 bars with the supplied antenna but sends me pics pretty much in time every day 12 times a day I haven’t tried the instant pics. Is running on lithium battery’s for close to one month now not showing a battery issue sends about 60 plus a day. Will see when weather gets hot outside how it likes the heat. Update. I am still pleased with camera did run into some issues after my free month went a week or so on the free plan decided to jump into the year plan. The week after I posted my first review and got the plan I went to my lease (180 miles) battery was 80% working good. I left camera home next day no pics checked batt level on app 0%. Month later with no pics and loosing a months worth of my plan went back this time I came with the SPYPOINT external battery, solar panel (another 100) and antenna extender ( that came with camera but didn’t use since was working )Hooked battery up panel turned on got same two bars went to camp house no pics all day and knight. I had as far as I could reach in-tree,since we have cows and like to chew on plastic. I think the issue was since I installed early spring no leaves on trees when every thing bloomed blocked signel. I instaalmy antenna extender now 2-3 bars and all is working good for almost 2 months now and working awesome again. Next will see how it likes this Texas heat. Good luck

1/5Worst customer service ever
I purchased and have had in the field since April 2019 a Dark Link camera. My camera quit transmitting pictures with all indicators on the camera showing a strong signal and battery strength. After 2 weeks and several phone calls the Customer Service had me do a hard reset and reinstall the camera to the website app. My Premium service plan was deleted and had to be reset up after another Trail period. SPYPOINT assured me that the first account was deleted and I would not be billed for the next month service. Guess what I was billed for the “deleted” account. Several more phone calls/emails, submission of my bank transaction and I was refund. Part 2 set up the account a second time every thing was working fine till the end of July when I started to get completely washed out over exposed daylight pictures. I used the text feature in the app and I would wait most times a day for a response. I would answer and wait. I finally kept manipulating the settings of the camera through the app and the daylight pictures started working. A few days later the night mode pictures went dark showing a full screen black image. Through all this I have given up on customer support help. They are untimely and do not seem to know the product very well. I Use the cuddelink system also and have had no issues running 4 cameras. I bought SPYPOINT because of the app & the camera so I am hoping that I can get it straightened out

3/5Nice concept, but disappointing performance
This Link-Micro was my first trail cam and purchased primarily to capture pics of vehicles, including rear license plates, which enter/exit our 500 ft long driveway. Getting pics of wildlife is nice, also. Camera operation and iPhone app setup were relatively simple, although did need to format SD card in computer. Camera ate up 8 alkaline batteries in less than one month and 350 pictures. Switched to lithium and those are still showing 100% charge after 3 weeks and 200+ pictures. Tried several different camera settings and locations, but found it’s hit or miss to capture good picture of the rear of a vehicle. Have it set up to take 2 “instant” photos of every detection, but shutter speed is such that it usually only captures a vehicle or wildlife in only one picture and sometimes misses entirely. It rarely captures the rear of our vehicles with normal use of our driveway, so it’s doubtful we would catch a good shot of a potential intruder vehicle. If it does capture rear of vehicle, must take SD card out of camera to view picture on computer to have a chance of reading license plate. Might be able to make out make, model and color of vehicle, if daylight picture. An annoyance is failure of iPhone Spypoint app to remember login credentials, in spite of checking “Remember Me” box. Also, initial screen usually appears each time, in spite of checking box for “Do Not Show Again.”
