1. 4/5Even great apps can be improved.

   I've used Snapchat for at least the past seven years. I use it mainly to keep in touch with friends and family. I like being able to see what is going on in their everyday lives, and share glimpses of mine as well. I have made some friends exclusively through the app, some from back when the Snapmap allowed friend requests. The Snapmap might just be my favorite feature. I like viewing places I vacationed, and places I've never been. I understand that the snap location indicators were removed from the Snapmap for safety reasons, and I'm glad they were, I don't want people being able to tell where I live. However, this makes it a shot in the dark when you are trying to explore the map. ***I think there needs to be some sort of indicator, even if it's just having the town name light up if there's a public snap.*** The map is kind of useless ever since this change. Also, while I realize it is a colossal amount of data, I have found it difficult to reach a real person for help. I have reported items that would be horrific for a child to find. Some were handled instantly by the ai, but some were not. I found no alternative way to reach live support. Once I found an anonymous public snap of a high school student saying they were going to end their life. Reporting it to ai did nothing, because it didn't use any key words for the ai to understand the context. I appreciate technology, but I believe there needs to be a clearer way to contact live people.

2. 4/5Let’s just be real.

   Snapchat, it’s a very nice and fun easy way to connect with your friends, family, etc. though snap chat is very interesting . I believe that there should be a bit more privacy involved on when you first sign up, obviously when you do you have to learn how to use the app assuming some kind of security before learning how to do anything, but no. When you first sign up your location is public to anyone, and anyone can message you. And Snapchat glitches and turns / shows your location to everyone whether it’s turned off or on a lot. Which is quite concerning. Other then location and privacy I would like to talk about bots. I’d say at least a couple days a week I will get bots adding me. And the thing is you can’t tell the difference. If you accept they will send you about 20 videos and 3 half’s of it is them doing inappropriate and unsettling things, the other half of it is saying to swipe left. Which is a link to there OF most of the time. This isn’t something that bothers me as much as it does with other people, but the avatars mostly known as a bitmoji. It not that the avatars effect the app in anyway, no it’s just that they are EXTREMELY ugly. I mean, let’s just be real. The old bitmoji’s / avatars were so much cuter. And this app will and just does continue to get worse and worse. I do recommend though. I love this chatting app and I do think it’s awesome and fun and a great way to show your status, drama, updates, story’s, promotions, kindness, awareness, and so much more! 🫶 thanks for reading -Mila

3. 5/5PLEASE CHANGE BITMOJI BACK

   Hello ☻ You are probably reading this before getting It, if you are a adult debating on letting ur kid get it, i would reccomend checking it out first. Now i may be only a pre-teen but snapchat is the best and only app i use every. Single. Day. You can have snapstreaks and watch vids while snapping and chatting. People often have school gc's im in like 10. Also parents if u are worried about ur child contacting someone unsafe, make sure they just only add friends, tell. Them. If they add anyone else they will have. To delete it. Sorry about my spelling an the random periods. And have them have snapmap, if on at all have them select only a couple people if any to see where they are at. The vids are basocallythe same. As tiktok, but my parents dont let ke have that, I used to though. So a few vids can be kinda innapropiate but i already know everything... As im typing this I am getting spammed, bc i hav a spam group for this thing called snapscore its just how kany snaps you have sent and recieved, so if u hate being spammed i wouldn't reccomend getting it. Now, there is. Currently one problem that sticks put yo me, the new 3d bitmoji... HELP OT LOOKS SO WEOFD SNAP PLESSE CHANGE IT BACK. but overall i love this app sm its a great way to communicate eith friends and watch vids also u can add to stories whovh im a little to obsessed with.,. They also have these texting stories they are so interesting, also filters and. Lot more u guys can vome checkout for yourself... Cya in the app!!

4. 4/5Alright, but the block feature needs work.

   I thought the app war pretty good with the exception of some of the blocking features. I've used this app for a year and a half now and haven't had a problem with it, but I've recently had to block my brother's abusive ex-girlfriend (basic middle-school stuff) and she wrote me a really gross and homophobic reply to an argument we've been having. I wrote back a fairly polite reply (considering the things she said) and had blocked her. I wouldn't have done that if I had known that all chats would've disappeared on her end, and the only thing that I can really take comfort in is that she would've received a Snapchat notification of my chat, knowing I would've responded. I guess I just wanted to be really petty and have her look at my response without being able to write anything back, but I guess I can't have that. I just wish there were features for blocking and unfriending that would make it so we can edit HOW blocking would work for the individual in question (if there isn't something like that already). I've only done some shallow research with a good portion of it saying that everything gets deleted after being blocked/blocking someone, and I've also heard mixed responses varying from individual to individual on if someone who was blocked could or couldn't see previous chats before they were blocked. If anyone has anything definitive to say, like that there are features like that already on Snapchat or something of that nature that would help me be spiteful, that would be pretty helpful. : )

   This app is the joy to my day every day I open it there’s another snap from one of my friends or a new chat! It’s so exciting to see what my friends have sent me and texted me. I love not using boring old messages just to connect with my friends Snapchat has lots of fun filters and I think it’s a really great way to creatively and fun way to communicate with friends and other people you know you also do not have to share your public account with people you don’t know sure they know your name and your profile picture but it’s not a real picture of you. It’s just a Bitmoji, which is really fun to create and customize by the way! if you’re looking for an app to communicate with friends and you don’t have messages, don’t wanna get messages or just think it’s too boring and you’re sick of it get Snapchat! I know this review might not be on the tops, but it is such a fun app and I think it is the perfect one for kids in high school and up!! It’s a great way to communicate and have fun with friends without being stuck to your phone I mean, yeah you’ll be stuck to your phone but it’s not in like a swipe swipe swipe way it’s in like a filter filter filter text text text ha ha ha way it’s no fun when you’re just texting and seeing what the next person says, it’s fun when you tap on something you can pick a different filter to do. You can write text in your snaps and post on your story when your friends birthdays are up or when you’re on vacation! it’s so fun. You should definitely get this. This is the perfect app for people with creative minds and happy thoughts.
