1. 3/5PLEASE listen to users.

   I’ve been using this app for years and truly love it. Editing on funimate has always been a creative outlet for me, and I was so excited to recently become a starred user. That’s why it’s been really frustrating to see how buggy the app has become lately. I also think I can speak for many users when I say it feels like the developers don’t care as much as they used to. my following page rarely loads, and whenever I try to reverse or slow down clips, the entire clip changes, which makes editing nearly impossible. There have also been a lot of false bans, inappropriate content slipping through, and overall, it feels like the community is becoming less active. I also don’t love the direction the app is going with bots choosing features and lits. What happened to the developers actually watching edits, liking them, and choosing contest winners themselves? It made the app feel personal and community driven. Now, we’re getting the same challenges over and over, there are barely any updates or new effects, and it’s starting to feel stale. It’s hard to believe how far the app has fallen, especially when it once felt so lively and full of talent. If you want funimate to thrive again, please listen to your users. We care about this app, and we want to see it succeed, but no one is going to continue to or start to use this app if you don’t fix current issues and improve it.

2. 4/5Too much pro things 😐

   When I got this app, I was so excited bc a lot of ppl had been talking abt it so I decided to download it. I heard you could make fan edits, use cool effects. But something I didn’t see in all of the adds were that everything was pro or at least 95% of Funimate’s features and effects needed PRO😭 The app is actually fun and easy to work it’s kinda like Tik Tok but with more stuff to do other than just posting videos. I love how creating a account is super easy and quick! (And I’m very happy no verification codes are needed unlike Dubsmash, Likke, etc.) And I love how you can also type a whole paragraph for your bio🥰. Privacy settings are easy to access and I am so happy that everything is pretty simple 😃. When I finally figured out how to use the app, I realized a BUNCH of things were PRO! I was disappointed 😔 bc I really don’t think ppl want to use THERE REAL money 💰 just to use a app! Most of the best things need PRO. Tbh I’ve had my account on there for not to long and only have 95 vids but as I said the app is easy to work so I’m pretty sure I’m already a PRO at using it. It’s just more work to screen record, crop, and cut. And yes screen recording is how you can get ALL PRO features for free but cropping the vid on video star 🌟 then saving it to your camera roll the cutting it just takes up storage and I’ve been stuck sitting on my phone 📱 and clearing it out. 3. 3/5I love the app but...

   I love to edit videos with this app! But with the new update...not so much. I went to watch one do my old videos, and it wasn’t there because I always delete my photos after I finish an edit. It didn’t even have the whole sound on it! But after I had gone out and back into it, it was back. This has happened multiple times with different videos and I’m getting really confused. Each time I think it’s gone for good and all of that time I spent on it was for nothing, and then it appears again. I also like to re-watch my old videos... A LOT. I don’t like how I can’t scroll down and watch my old videos anymore, I have to exit the video I was currently watching, and then click on another one. I also don’t really like the remake thing. You can just click a button, and it takes you to the screen that the person who made it did it with. The transitions, photos, videos, and effects they used to make it. I like how simple and easy to use Funimate is. I wish I could have opted out of the new update, but I didn’t have a choice, it updated it for me. I’ve had this app for around 3 years. While I won’t get rid of it because of the update, I hope the people who designed this app take my review into consideration when they work on the next update. Also, some of my edits aren’t in the order I made them anymore, and some are duplicated. I hope you could understand this, it was a bit all over the place. I have ADHD and my mind is everywhere. I described things to the best of my abilities.

4. 4/5Good app but something to keep in mind

   So on Funimate they have added some amazing new updates such as shakes ai effects and more but most of the effects are crossed out because of pro. Pro has made so many people want to delete the app and have deleted it including me. I have deleted this app about 3 times and downloaded it again. Most of the effects that are pro are way better then the ones that are not pro and Funimate only give a little transitions that and it’s not ok for people who use this app. A lot of people have so many complaints with this app. Also for the people that can afford pro that’s probably a 20% out of 100 and I’ve seen someone who has pro but never even uses the effects. It’s not fair that someone who has pro doesn’t even use it! I’m not saying that all people who have pro do this. Another thing........Funimate gives one free pro transition every day for each effect Funimate has. I think it’s helping buttttttttttttttt it always gives an effect that I don’t like in pro or an effect that I don’t wanna use. All the effects that I wanna use or need to use for my edit are never available. When u enter a contest Funimate only picks the people with the most likes. Like COME ON. Funimate only picks the people with the most likes on the video and not even like the most unique edits or the most creative edits but it’s the most liked edits. I’m kinda sick of that. This app is fun to use and is a good editing app but there are some things that Funimate should work on. There’s so many more things in wanna say but I’ll leave it at this for now

5. 3/5Good app but…

   This is an amazing editing app, its easy to use and is helpful for beginners but.. my problem is A lot of things are premium, even the things that don’t need to he premium, the first edit i made had little to no problems, but the next edit i made was when i had a problem. When i went to export it, it would not let me save it or anything without buying premium, what editing app makes you pay just to export a video??? Its so annoying and frustrating cause I spent so long on my edit and now i cant even export it, if anything just make people have to watch an add to save a video, then you can get money off of the adds and stuff, you can also add and ad blocker that people would have to buy, it would he a way better solution other then making people buy premium just to export a video. It seems like a scam almost, and on top of that 60-70% of the effects are premium, its like you just want money and your doing it in the most obnoxious and annoying way possible. There are way more efficient ways to make money without having people pay to do over 60% of the stuff, ESPECIALLY exporting a video! Its such an absurd and ridiculous tactic to gain money. Maybe try making the app more accessible to use for people who don’t have a lot of money instead of scamming people out of their money just to export a video, maybe then you can be a 5-star editing app.
