1. 5/5Overall the best experience I’ve had

   I had an excellent experience with my Sesame appointment. The doctor was on time, professional, and took the time to really listen to my concerns. I’ve struggled with acne since I was a teenager, and instead of simply refilling my previous medication, he explained why a different treatment would likely be more effective for my long-term condition. He also prescribed a topical medication to help the affected areas heal. I never felt rushed, and he answered all of my questions. The whole process was easy, convenient, and much better than I expected. I highly recommend Sesame to anyone looking for affordable, quality medical care.

   Initially, I was impressed with the system. Was able to get my mental health prescription after speaking to a doctor for $44. Moved one state over. Needed and wanted to use a different practitioner. Found a practitioner that I used for another service that I felt safe with. She said she could also help me fill this prescription. Booked an appointment with her. She requested specific forms. I had to call customer service to try to access these forms. Customer Service said they could not give me access to these forms because I booked the wrong type of appointment. They informed me that I must book a mental health or mental health prescription appointment. I informed them that that was not an option on this providers page. They said they could not help me get the forms I needed and would need to find another provider despite the provider legally being able to provide this pharmaceutical. This inability to provide the proper forms seems like a system failure. They refunded me my $49 and I reluctantly went to find another provider through the means they said it was. I found a provider through mental health prescription. Followed the flow. Arrived at checkout only to see that minimum cost. For this type is $79 and requires an automatic subscription renewing every four weeks. It sites that my prescription would be be included and be sent to me. I don’t need a free prescription and I want to pick it up from the pharmacy today. I am disgusted that they are taking advantage by forcing people through a flow that requires a higher rate of pay to renew their mental health subscriptions. This is the collapsing medical system at its finest.

   strongly do not recommend Sesame or Doctor Muhammad Imran. Despite countless attempts to get assistance with a prior authorization for my medication, I received no guidance or support from the provider or the Sesame team. I was charged for appointments but left with nothing but headaches, confusion, and wasted time. Communication from Dr. Imran was poor, and critical steps were neglected, making the process unnecessarily complicated. Avoid this company if you want a smooth, professional experience. Update: Month of Delays, No Support, No Accountability I had an extremely disappointing experience with Sesame. I waited over a month for a prior authorization with little to no support or communication. Despite contacting the platform multiple times, my messages were ignored or dismissed. What made this especially frustrating was that I repeatedly asked for basic information about the prescribing provider, including their city, state, and office phone number. This is simple information that should be readily available and was necessary to move the authorization forward. It was never provided. I paid for a service that was never delivered. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue and requesting a refund due to the lack of care and follow through, nothing was addressed until I formally requested account deletion. This experience showed a serious lack of transparency, responsiveness, and accountability. I would not recommend this platform to anyone who needs timely care or reliable support.

4. 5/5Experienced with LiveMD/Doctor On Demand

   Having used multiple telemed services over time, including LiveMD/Doctor On Demand and similar platforms, I believe Sesame compares very favorably where it matters most. While the app itself could still benefit from continued UX/UI improvements and refinement on iOS, the actual patient care experience has been noticeably better. Sesame’s providers seem more invested in listening carefully, understanding the patient’s own awareness of their symptoms, and responding in a way that feels individualized rather than scripted. That willingness to genuinely hear the patient is something many telemed competitors have lost, and it is what will keep me returning to Sesame.

   Top notch Physician I cannot recommend Dr. Matthew Leafblad highly enough. As a Registered Nurse working in cardiac critical care step-down at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, I work alongside physicians every day and have high expectations when it comes to medical care. After more than ten years with my previous primary care physician, I was devastated when he unexpectedly closed his practice. I had been struggling with ongoing respiratory issues, profound fatigue, and complications after multiple COVID infections, and I desperately needed continuity of care from someone I could trust. I was referred to Sesame, where I met Dr. Leafblad, and I could not have asked for a better physician. From our very first appointment, he took the time to truly listen. Rather than treating just one symptom, he looked at the complete picture of my health. He ordered appropriate laboratory testing, chest X-rays, adjusted my medications when necessary, referred me to specialists, and carefully considered how my occupation as a bedside critical care nurse might be contributing to my illness and recovery. His approach is thoughtful, comprehensive, and genuinely patient-centered. What impressed me most was not only his medical knowledge, but also his compassion. He never made me feel rushed. He explained his reasoning, involved me in decisions, and demonstrated the kind of professionalism and empathy that every patient hopes to find in a physician. As someone who works in healthcare and collaborates with physicians on a daily basis, I can honestly say that Dr. Leafblad is exceptional. I would recommend him without hesitation to my own family—including my mother. Finding an outstanding primary care physician is becoming increasingly difficult, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Dr. Leafblad. He has earned my complete confidence and gratitude.
