   10 years ago I bought tickets from StubHub for floor seats to a Pearl Jam show. I informed StubHub that I suspected the tux were fake because not even fan club members had received their tickets (I had tix to other shows via the fan club). StubHub said I could buy without reservation because they stand by any ticket sale. At the venue there were many StubHub signs around. It was going to be an experience. I was 7th in line with my brother to make sure we’d be on the rail when the gates opened. After waiting in line all day when they told us to get our wristbands and asked for tickets they said my tickets were fake. StubHub and security had me get out of line said there was nothing they could do. Despite showing them my correspondence with them prior to buying the tickets, etc, they said they didn’t have anything comparable and gave me tix on the 200 section. The doors opened and I was at the bar and the ticket office called me and they “reconsidered” and magically gave me floor seats. Of course I was no longer anywhere near the front and the experience was ruined. I’ve never done business with StubHub since. SeatGeek is the only reseller I will use. They have yet to let me down like their competition.

   So I’ve bought tickets to numerous events through Seat Geek and haven’t had any problems until today. I purchased tickets for the Indianapolis 500, I got my tickets just fine, my issue is with the formatting of the tickets I had. The tickets only showed my Box, Section, and Seat. For those of you familiar with Indianapolis Motor Speedway, you’ll immediately see the problem with that. IMS is a massive facility, so there are multiple different grandstands for seating, and each grandstand uses the same box, section, and seating labels. Imagine my surprise when I get to the racetrack and can’t find my seat because I don’t even know which grandstand my seats were located in. None of the track workers were able to help me out, and as a last resort I was about to contact Seat Geek customer support, I clicked the help button and next came up an order confirmation screen, and the grandstand information was THERE. I wasted an hour of running around talking to track workers and ticketing agents to help me, I missed a lot of prerace activities such as driver intros just to find where my seats were, only for it to be hidden behind the help menu, rather than on my actual tickets. If Seat Geek can fix this formatting issue, it’d be 5 stars, but the trouble it caused me today I had to take some stars off. Hopefully someone who runs into this problem will see this review and know where to find their grandstand information.

   I received an error message trying to post my tickets for sale. Seat Geek has no way you can call and talk to anyone. Customer Service rep Luis told me the reason there was an error was “my fault” because my “sift score” was too high. A sift score is something they calculate based on how many times you attempt to sell your tickets. The wonderful solution was to “wait 24 hours and try again” for an event that starts in 36 hours. I explained I tried to post the tickets one time and received that message so not sure how that would be possible. I asked if there was anyone he could connect me with that could help to which he responded “he could escalate the issue and I will hear back from someone in 24 hours” I asked if there was a manager I could speak with and he said no. I asked if there was a phone number I could call to speak to anyone and he said no. I spent the next 7 hours being bounced around from one person to another being told I would be called back “within the hour” “in the next 2-3 hours” and finally “by 9:30pm tonight”. I ended up solving the issue myself, the error was that I was trying to sell the tickets below the amount I purchased them for. There wasn’t a person that works for this company that could tell me that information in 7 hours and 5+ customer service reps. If you have any issue with anything this company has no idea how to help you, no one you can speak with and absolutely no intent on resolving your issue. Good luck

   I’ll preface this interview by saying that the one star is related to the service I received during the process of my ticket refund. I had bought tickets to a concert that were going to be released within 24 hours of when the concert starts. 24 hours came and went, and despite having a confirmed purchase, the seller of the tickets never transferred the tickets to me. Admittedly this is out of their control and not their fault, however when I went to contact Seat Geek about the tickets, I found that the service number was no longer in use and directed you to an email system. I emailed about my problem and then did not hear back for several hours. I did more searching and found a live chat option and reached out. At this point the concert was starting in less than 12 hours. After chatting back and forth with a client, the client said we needed to give the seller more time to transfer the tickets and said he would be in touch via email. After touching base a few times when prompted by one of emails, the conversation went dark two hours before gates opened. I did not receive a response for over an hour and a half before I went back to the live chat and had to work through another 25 minute conversation with a client before finally getting a refund on my tickets. They did stand by the 100% refund, but you have to fight for it. TLDR: Seller failed to transfer tickets to me. After horrible communication by Seat Geek I finally got a refund after aggressively pushing for a response. Be careful when buying tickets

5. 1/5Worst Ticketing APP EVER

   Long story short, I was purchasing VIP tickets for a concert and I Initiated a purchase for a set of tickets and the transaction failed I the. Go and exit out of the app close it and go back in to purchase tickets and the second time I tried I was able to purchase a different set of tickets and that went through fine. So I get a confirmation email right that second but then I see that I had two charges on my card that were fully processed and I contacted there customer service and they told me that they are very strict in resell and transferring vip tickets that nothing could be done. First of all I was just asking for them to cancel the failed purchase that I never received confirmation that it was successful. So that was u authorized because it was failed. And the only solution they gave me was to talk to the vip company to see if they can allow me to transfer them. Mind you when I first bought the tickets they never disclosed before the purchase was done that these tickets weren’t able to be transferred or resold. So now I’m out of luck because SeatGeek isn’t taking accountable of there system error and refunded me or canceling the first purchase that failed and that I also never received a confirmation email on. Idk I can go on because I have emails going back and forth but they do not make any sense , withheld ticketing information and do NOT help there customers first and LAST time purchasing from this cite!

   Never get mine or friends business again! Purchased tickets 3 days ago, took the money from my account 2 days ago. The event is scheduled 5 days after the day they took the money. Unfortunately have a serious emergency and cant go. They can take your money, but the seller does not have to send the tickets until the day off! So I cant even try to sell them until they are sent to me. 5 days of stalemate while they hold my money and no tickets. Should of stayed with ticketmaster. Never again!!

   purchased tickets and accepted them by their email link however they have failed to appear in my seat geek account. after numerous back and forth with their customer service people, I still don't have my tickets. their app is at the best awful and at the worst deceptive
