1. 4/5Subbed but movies won’t load on any device WiFi or cellular

   Got a sub to watch movies on Halloween today. Wanted to watch terrifier 2 and others tonight. After getting the sub which I thought was 5 a month found out I’m in a free trial. Tried to watch terrifier 2 to see how it looks on the streaming service loading wheel comes up then goes away tried another movie at random same thing won’t start it was called satans little helper tried another some corn movie same tv station thing works but that it. Can’t I watch the movie on the free trial can I pay the 5 and watch terrifier 2 and the others. Now I have to buy tickets to see terrifier 2 at the theater tonight because I have a feeling this won’t get resolved today. So far I’m not impressed it worked all of a sudden pit my ranting up to 5 of the movies go all the way through without dropping and the start I’ll keep the subscription going I love horror movies.

   I started my monthly trial to three weeks ago i’m loving the new Screambox app I also browse all the movies on the app like the barn and Burial Ground. These are my two favorite movies to watch and I also love the movie watch if you dare? I can also watch Bloody Disgusting TV on the app to which is pretty cool but I also love the movie sound footage and I am also a fan of underground horror movies and I also love movies curated by Barbara Crampton who starred in the fog! I would love to see more movies added to Screambox but there was a movie that I like and it’s called headless and I also love movies fromsovhorror and because I like them I would love to see their movies on the app because I love found footage horror movies and I also love movies from unearthed films I would also love to see movies from their site on the app and I also love Shakya mantras like Mondo cane and faces of death! And I also would love to see the traces of death series I don’t do DVDs anymore so this is how I stream movies these days and I would love to see movies from brain damage films what I also love Alvira and I’m also a fan of the grind house and exploitation movies from the 1970s and I also love extreme cinema and I also browse the genre of horror movies like torture and extreme and brutal disturbing body horror! I would love to see shot on video horror movies and extreme underground horror movies from unearthed films Brain damage films there’s a movie they recommend and it’s called the burning Moon so keep it up keep updating the app and keep adding more movies

   Well, Screambox finally added an Apple TV app. About a year late from what was initially promised. This corrected one of my primary two complaints about the service. The quality of movies has improved so, that is an added bonus. I have renewed my subscription after dropping it for the past year. The only issue I still have is in regards to their limitation on devices. Screambox limits you to 4 devices and 1 computer to use the app. You can only change/remove 3 of your devices every 90 days. This isn't mentioned when you subscribe to the service and really should be disclosed. For me this is a major issue as I don't watch the service every day and I have too many devices where I may want to stream on at one time or another. Counting streaming tv devices, tablets and phone I have about 7. There still isn't an app for game systems however, it wouldn't matter due to the limitations. I don't stream from a pc but, I can't use that license for another device. Why not? They should allow you to use any of your devices and perhaps limit it to two streaming at the same time. Every other service I can think of doesn't limit number of devices you sign in to and potentially stream on. Please correct this and I will update my review again. So far things are improving but, they still have a way to go to be competitive with other services such as Shudder or Arrow.

4. 2/5Doesn’t support Airplay

   There are a lot of movies I wanted to watch on this app. I subscribed thinking this is going to be easy to use like any other streaming app. Immediately, I try to watch a movie via Airplay. It doesn’t play smoothly on my smart tv. It often pauses randomly or it will have connection issues. I tried to cast the app using chrome cast. It also had connection issues. I make sure my OS is updated on both my phone and tv. I try another tv in my house. Still have the same problems. I contacted customer support. I was told Screambox doesn’t support airplay or chrome cast. I guess this will be my first and last month paying for Screambox unless they fix this issue.

   Search feature in this app is OLD! Takes forever for the update PER LETTER - Does not support any dictation either. Cannot setup different profiles for family members. Sidebar menu overlaps with Main window making things difficult to read (on ATV 4K, with a 4K TV. Update March 27, 2025: Unsubscribing is a nightmare. I had to unsubscribe from the very same laptop that I signed up for the service. I tried using the iPhone app and the Apple TV app and it told me I needed to cancel from the same device Insogned up from. Which was a laptop website. Goofy service and support is no existent. Updated 5/2/25: Unsubscribed and was offered 3 months at .99 each! Took them up on the offer and realized more issues with the app. Screambox doesn’t always keep track of what you watched. I was 40 minutes into a movie, exit out of the movie and app using the back button on Apple TV. Once I came back to finish the movie it was not listed under Continue Watching and when I started the movie again it started from the beginning and I had to watch the commercial again. BTW, the trailer’s audio kept saying the same thing over and over as the video of the trailer continued on. Had to exit the app again and then restart it until the trailer showed audio and video in sync. If this company would update the app, I might be able to stay, but not with all the issues. No developer has reached out to me as of May 5, 2025.
