5/5Resound Omnia
Like the sound quality and was of use with the Smart 3D App. The connection aid via the app could be better. But it is a marked improvement from previous Resound hearing aid using the Smart App. I am still skeptical of the hearing in background noise which boast 150% improvement. The hearing aid provider did not know anything about the setting and would expected Resound to have some training or video on how this feature/setting works or how to program it. The tv streamer which I purchased is a game changer. I’ve always had closed caption appear on the TV to capture all the sounds. With the streamer on it is unbelievable the sound quality through the aid. I can turn down the volume on the tv so it’s not loud for others. I control the volume in my app and enjoy television better than the past 40 years. Same can be said for the sound quality for talking on the phone. The Bluetooth technology has come a long way in helping hearing impaired hear well using mobile devices. No more feedback pressing the phone to your ear. The sound is clear and concise. Rechargeable option is a bonus as you charge for three hours at night or while you sleep and you get a full day use. Plus no more buying expensive batteries. Bonus improvement to the design. I would highly recommend Omnia to anyone. Only reason it’s four stars instead of five is to understand the noise background improvement claim. They get that squared away and easily five stars.

4/5Surprised at the High Ratings
I originally rendered a ‘2’ rating due to issues I encountered with the simultaneous release of IOS updates 15.4 and 15.4.1. Due to the response of the developers and no issues with the most recent IOS 16 and 16.1 updates where no issues were encountered, I am re-rating the App a ‘4’. I still from time to time have to power the phone off to clear a warning that one of he hearing aids which shows not connected. It would be interesting to know if other Resound Linx Quattro owners have had the same experience. I, own Linx Quattro Hearind aids that prior to IOS 15.4 and 15.4.1 software updates in the last 2 weeks, each of which was days apart pushed through by Apple, performed flawlessly. Now 75% of the time only the right hearing aid streams calls and media(music). Although I have been in contact with Resound tech staff over the last several days and was offered what amounts to a workaround via a multi step pairing un pairing, delete and re install the app, The workaround steps have to be repeated multiple times. It would be nice to hear that both Resound and Apple are working hand in hand to come up with a permanent fix. It’s been an extraordinarily difficult 2 weeks with no signs of any progress. I had to email tech support. There was no announcements publicized and I am sure I am not the only frustrated hearing aid owner of Resound products When I see forward progress I will re rate the app, but with all due respect a ‘2’ is generous considering the seriousness of this non connectivity issue.

2/5Battery drain-solved?
Update to update: Developer I DID contact you on July 9 (this is July 17) but have not received a response. So many people are complaining about this on Reddit etc. — seems this app worked fine until IOS 15.4, some report. UPDATE: I deleted this app but still saw Apple Watch battery drain of 20% over every three hours. I turned off pretty much all notifications , raise to wake, etc. unpaired the watch from my phone, unpaired the aids from my phone etc. What seems to have worked is a HARD RESET of my watch. Once you unpair the watch from your phone it backs everything up and you can easily restore after the hard reset (which erases the watch and sets to factory defaults). The aids have been on almost three hours now and watch is at 92%. Yesterday after three hours was at 82%. I can only think the Resound 3d app left something running on the Apple Watch, (even though I deleted it) which has gone away with the hard reset. It’s too bad because the app was great and I’d really like to use it but like to use my Apple Watch more. Original post: I never had to charge my Apple Watch during the day but this app seems to have deleterious effects on battery drain on both the Apple Watch and the iPhone. Google it, many complaints. It’s a very nice app but needs to tame Bluetooth so it isn’t a battery vampire. Already unpaired and repaired the Watch, really considering deleting the app.

1/5Constant connection issues
Once the HA are connected it seems fine but after charging the HA overnight the connection on one or both HA is lost. Then the hokey pokey begins. I usually just give up. Also, the charging case appears to be needed in any attempt to reconnect the HA to the app. That means one is to always have the charging case available at all times? Not taking it with me while out all day. Very disappointed and frustrating Update 02/05 hit or miss on phone connection. Most of the time one or the other will show up as disconnected. On the plus side had HA’s changed to control volune, right up, left down. Another minus, cannot answer a phone call bia the HA’s as I could with my Phonak HA’s. So if my iPhone is in another room I need to go find it to answer a call. If Phonak can. Answer via the aids, why not Resound? App is less than average. 3/27: the app rarely stays connected to the aids. Most every morning need to do the Resound hokey pokey, in case, out of case, settings, pair, in case, out of case, yada yada … ridiculous. Would like these hearing aids and the Phonak app which worked all the time. The developer response for the connection issue doesn’t provide any answer to the connection dropping issues. How to connect is explained in the app or other. I rarely use the app because of issues. As long as they stay connected to the iPhone is all the matters.

5/5My new HAs
I haven’t had new hearing aids in years and I’ve been so positively overwhelmed with my new aids I’m going to be singing some major sweet notes in this review. I wish I hadn’t waited so long for my new hearing aids but I’m so very glad that I got them now. They work so much better than any other hearing aids I’ve purchased that not only am I happy, but I also don’t have a single negative issue to suggest your company work on improvements. These hearing aids are the most amazing hearing aids I’ve ever used. For the first time in my deaf life I’m not unhappy about being a hearing aid user. Thank you for making hearing aids that are comfortable, easy to use, connected to my cell phone, and what I love the most; controlling the volume in my head and adjustments (nobody else can hear what I’m listening to, tv or phone calls). Thank you for making my disease so much easier to deal with out in the world and for using on the phone. 👍
