   I started listening to Dave’s podcast in 2013. I’ve listened to literally thousands of episodes to stay on track and be encouraged to pay attention to our finances and get out of debt. Between a house and a car, we’ve payed off over $250,000 in debt following Dave’s advice. We followed the baby steps and began investing once the car was paid off and now have over a half million in retirement savings. A few months ago we became baby-step millionaires and next month we are writing a check to pay off the house. We’ve begun college savings for our kids and will have a healthy sum to help them in their higher educational endeavors. Recently our ELP asked me what I thought about retiring early… I hadn’t even considered it. We’ve been so nose down grinding out the baby steps, I hadn’t realized how effective the plan has been in preparing us for doing the things we want to do as opposed to things we have to do. Because we sacrificed early on when we didn’t make as much annually, we view our recent increases in income as a blessing that allows for more ability to live and give like no one else. Thanks Dave and the team for all you do to present a proven plan for wisdom around finances!

2. 3/5Great show. App needs work

   After reading so many people complaining about the app on You Tube and that you had to go there to listen to the whole show, I had low expectations. I've been listening on the app for a few days and it is probably better than I expected. I wish they would add the option of listing the podcasts in reverse chronological order, so most recent first, but listening in chronological order. I don't want to resort them to reverse chronological order because it starts with very old episodes. I just want to catch up on 5-10 episodes occasionally. The other issue is that when I was just listening on my dog walk, and about 20 times in the hour it stopped working. I could press play again and it would start In the correct place, but it was very disruptive. That happens much less often when I'm on WiFi. I don't have that issue with any other podcast app I use.

3. 2/5App Needs Work

   I’ll start by saying I’m a big consumer of Ramsey personality content. From many podcasts, video, social channels and reading their books. I really value their principles and ideas. When they started pushing users to this app for the complete 3 hour Ramsey podcast, I thought no big deal. But I really dislike using their app to listen to the podcast! It doesn’t keep track of your listening progress, or which episodes you’ve already listened to. So I end up having to click through episode after episode to find where I last left off. I like how Apple Podcasts app shows me a preview of the episode (who the hosts are) so I can distinguish as all the titles sound the same after years of listening. It defaults to video which is annoying when I jump in the car and want to quickly click on a podcast to listen. Also, I often find there is a disconnect between extern devices’ control buttons (my car Bluetooth, my Apple Watch) as they won’t play, pause, skip/rewind when listening in the app and I have to open the app to control it. If you’re going to force people to use the app to consume your content, please do better Ramsey!

4. 4/5LOVE THE SHOW, the app could use improving

   The show is phenomenal and for a free app, it’s fantastic. If they wished to improve it to the maximum user-friendly version (IMO), there’s two main issues to address... actually there is one, the second one would probably not be an issue if they fixed the first one. For me, I want to listen to as much as possible, so I scroll to the very bottom and listen from the bottom up towards the current live stuff so I can hear the old stuff first before it deletes off the app memory.. but the auto play only plays downward to the next episode (before it in date order)... so I either have to chose a few episodes up from the bottom and try to play them down or stop after each daily episode and go to the next day... Reversing that option would allow people to listen from oldest to newest (so they can catch episodes before they disappear off the app) and not have the pain of playing around with the day they’re on (or left off on). The other issue would be that the app keeps rolling into episodes previously heard without a prompt (so when I do the method described above, often times I’m hearing repeating things until I catch it and have to go in and select a new set of days to count down from). Hope this helps make a great product even better, thank you for what you all do! 💚

   For me personally, the only thing would change about the ap is the order of the material playing back. Quality is great, accessibility is great, but when I get a few days behind listening, I wish that the play would continue in an order from oldest to newest days. As I try to catch up, many times I’ll realize I’ve gotten through all three hours of a show, and am now listening to the show that was one day older, in which case I’ve already listened to it. Again, that is solely a personal preference. The fact that a well produced, high quality show is streamed to my phone for free to help with my commute is outstanding! Also the best selection of music between segments of any talk radio show of any genre I listen to.

   Update 7/28/26: The app has broken on my phone. Every time iI open it all I get is a blank blue screen, no content. The content is very good. The app needs work, it completely closes sometimes and freezes at other times. I would expect it to be corrected soon as Ramsey Solutions is a top notch company.
