   I’ve had the free version of this app for more than five years. I’ve tried several others overtime, but I always come back to this one because it offers me the best performance and ability to find the main radio station that I’m interested in plus some interesting ones that I never knew existed. I didn’t purchase the premium version only because I was concerned about some of the glitches that I experienced in the past. Mind you that there have been constant improvements since I first started using the app. The interface is without the ridiculous bells and whistles of other apps that make what is supposed to be turning a radio dial into a feature heavy app requiring an engineering degree. I just thought that it’s best to be able to find and play my FM stations and explore internet radio simply. Personally, if you’re looking for a solid RadioApp which makes it possible to search stations and different genres this would be a solid pick that you could enjoy now and in the future

2. 5/5Basic radio streaming app

   Very clean interface that lets you access streaming ratio stations - if that station has a streaming radio URL. It is unable to “tune” to some stations in my area that I know have URL links for audio streaming, but there is a submission link which I presume is to let the developers know so they can add it. Some stations did come up in search but were not available to listen to. This may be a fault of HOW that station’s streaming URL works? The radio station’s stream of course has ads. The free app doesn’t seem to insert additional audio ads before playing the stream and there are no annoying video or pop up ads on the interface. Favorites is limited to 10 favorites in the free app. AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: (1) Given the worldwide scope where different stations use the same frequency in a different city, it would be helpful if the interface displayed the city/region of the current station being listened to and not just the station name and frequency. Station names cannot be edited and naming convention is inconsistent. E.g. often they don’t include the station call letters or name. (2) The app identifies my location as simply California not my city or local area. So when using the tuner, I get stations all over CA which is annoying. It would be nice if there was the option to limit the tuner to just my local area like a real radio would do. (3) the interface is buggy. Several times while searching for a station to build my favorites and switching apps to reference a search result, I would come back to the app and it would be stuck and unresponsive.

3. 5/5RadioApp – like operating a classic analog tuner

   RadioApp is a standout in that it functions as if it’s a 70’s era component tuner. It features an FM dial with a tuning indicator where you swipe left or right to move up and down the dial. The frequency upon which you land has a number of stations indicated where you can select the specific one you have in mind according to the areas you have chosen to be included as to what will likely come up. Once you pick a station, tuning away and then coming back will pull up the same station when you once again land at that same frequency. It’s a totally natural and intuitive way to operate a radio – you actually “tune” it rather than click on station icons. The app furthermore brings up the station almost immediately compared to waiting for icons to load.

4. 4/54 1/2 Stars…….Love almost everything

   I love almost everything about this app. I also subscribed… for now. After I mentioned that I couldn’t find a search function to quickly find a particular station, the developer kindly sent me a helpful reply: one can swipe down on the app and open a search field, and enter a station name, or frequency and it will go find it. Also, I would like to be able to change country and then scroll all of that country’s stations in this same, simple way. It exists sort of kinda, but it is not a good or convenient way as it functions now. I was told this is in the works and will be added soon. May I also suggest a complete help file explaining all that this app can do and how to do it! Those are my wishes for a considerable improvement. If this gets done, I’ll stick with this app as a paid subscriber AND a full fifth star!

5. 5/5Needs improved badly if you are going to ask payment for it!

   I was all in and set to pay for a whole year. I cancelled the trial. Too many not available stations that I can get easily from Tune In/iHeartRadio or any other app! The idea for the app is incredible! The user interface is awesome! The retro feel is awesome! The not available stations are a deal breaker! I have 0 time as I’m sure is the case with most folks to fumble around to try to fine alternative stations to preset! I would try it again in the future but you have to figure a way to get the non available content fixed. The stations from several major markets come up n/a. It’s just odd that you would ask money for this if it’s seemingly not ready fully to be released to the public.
