1. 1/5Sold me multiple lies

   I booked a day ahead for luggage storage in a town and it was listed as the train station. I arrived, it was not the train station, it was a mobile shop 5 minutes away. Okay fine. I go to the mobile shop 5 minutes away, which is listed as open, and it is closed. I call the shop, no answer. I use the app to relocate to another option nearby, which is another 6 minutes away. I arrive there, it is open, but the (quite rude) owner of the shop refused me, and I did not understand why. I went back to the app to see if there was a third option, and it redirected me BACK to the "train station" option (which we already established was not an option because it was really a closed mobile store 5 minutes away from the train station). I finally got around the AI chatbot and I demanded a full refund to my credit card, because by default they want give you "app credit" (worthless). The agent asked me if I had called (I had, of course) or if I wanted help finding another option (these were clearly the only two in this town that they had available). I was asking for my full refund back to my credit card the whole time, though I suppose he had to follow his script so not his fault. He finally approved it for me, so I got my money back thankfully. Anyway, absolutely terrible experience overall, I will never use this app again. I tried Bounce as a backup and got an immediate booking in a nearby shop with some very friendly staff, and it was 2 euro cheaper. Radical Storage is terrible, deleting the app now and forever.

   Having traveled across several continents, I can confidently declare Radical Storage has revolutionized how I handle my luggage. The feature that stands out the most is the flexibility in bookings. Life can be unpredictable, and I appreciate that I can easily make adjustments to my reservation—be it extending my time or adding additional bags. Moreover, the storage locations are conveniently situated, often within local businesses, which not only feels safe but also supports the community. Knowing that my belongings are backed by a €3000 guarantee is just the cherry on top. Highly recommended for anyone looking to free themselves from the burden of luggage during their travels.

3. 2/5Great idea. Terrible customer service.

   It gets two stars because my bags were safely stored for a few hours, and when my friend and I used it a couple weeks ago all went smoothly. But when I tried to use it this past weekend in New York, the address I was given was completely wrong. The person at the address listed was clearly used to it and tried to give directions but there was a language barrier. I tried calling the location and had a similar issue. It was hot and I was in the middle of the Times Square district so I thought it would be easier and faster to use the customer support chat to say the address was wrong and I couldn’t find the place. The “support” agent typed “did you call” and “did you email” and when I explained that I called but it hadn’t helped they just said “email them.” I had now been dragging the bag around in the heat for over 20 minutes and didn’t think an email would help me quickly enough. I finally found it using the map the first guy had drawn and by just going into several stores nearby. The agent finally asked what email the reservation was under but by then I’d finally found the place. The guy there was rude, and it was two blocks and across the street from the address listed in the booking. In the end my bags were fine. But it was a terrible experience and the customer service was just mind-blowingly bad.

4. 1/5DO NOT USE THIS APP

   Like many reviews have said, this app is a great idea but terribly executed. I showed up to the location I booked and was brought to their back storage room where the door was wide open to the rest of the store. I asked the clerk if he was sure my bags would be secure, to which he responded that the door would be closed and locked the whole time. I still wasn’t convinced, but I had nowhere else to leave my bags so I just hoped for the best. When I returned to pick up my bags, a different clerk greeted me and told me I could go grab them. The door was propped open with nobody around to monitor who was going back there. The clerk also didn’t scan my app OR EVEN LOOK AT IT to make sure they were my bags. Anyone could’ve seen the Radical Storage sticker on their door and walked in to ask for the bags and he would’ve handed them over. Customer service took over 12 hours to respond, and when they did finally respond it was a generic response “ensuring” me it wouldn’t happen again. Yuck. Please do not use this app if you value your belongings.

5. 3/5App is meh

   I recently booked the bag bnb service and thought the process to book online wasn’t too complicated pretty straight forward. Unfortunately I had to cancel my trip and didn’t need the service. They don’t provided refunds and will give you a credit within the system for 6 months. I didn’t get any official email or confirmation as this exchange was done through a chat. Which was very informal. I’ll have to see if this credit is even honored in the future. They need to develop the app to be able to book rentals though. A lot of times when traveling things change and most people have access readily to their phones vs a desktop. It would be an even better service if they provided someway to cancel the booking or at least be able to change a date of your booking for the future. I can’t rate the service because I haven’t used it yet. There definitely is a market for this type of service.
