1. 5/5Review explaining my score

   I gave this app a score of 2stars out of a possible 5stars. I like that this is a free app that’s great. I like that I have the ability to have it with me on my phone. I like that this app also will send a written notification of possible emergency events happening for the towns/county of the States it represents/monitors. I don’t like that I have to actually have to be using the App and just App to HEAR any and all alerts that it gets yet it can send me a text like notification of an alert in a state other than my state or county for which is on the list of being monitored. I’ll hear our fire department alarms going off and this app does not pick up and let me know yet it will say that in Mississippi somewhere (just an example)🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ . I don’t even get the text like notifications that an event/emergency is or had happened even when I can actually hear the fire engines and ambulance and police passing my house . So this App seams to be selective on what it lets you see/hear I do wonder if I PAY for the UPGRADE if I WILL then actually be able to definitely see/hear the emergency events in MY TOWN. On the free app it only lists my fire department (not the police) as being monitored Not the police I would appreciate it if I could hear and see my county/town like it advertises.

2. 5/5My go to local app!

   Yes friends all you have to do is simply type your zipcode and you will receive local, (and accurate at that) real time emergency/first responder/local law enforcement radio chatter straight from your local dispatch! I can promise you this after living close enough to see Shemengees Bar and Grill (or what used to be) from my rooftop this App was my saving grace the night of the Lewiston Maine shooting, not only the night of but even the days following with that madman still on the loose. Anytime I get a gut feeling and hear sirens follow after I immediately come check in with the 3 local/active channels on this Scanner and am beyond grateful for the accuracy that has stood behind it. The world was scary when I was a teenager 15 years ago (😱🤯🤬- a gross number to admit out loud lol) but todays age takes the gold in the craziness we are starting to endure daily. Awareness is the most key factor in safety in my opinion and I thank this app for providing us a reliable resource to keeping our families, our communities, and ourselves in a more aware state to provide more safety/security in our lives 💯!

3. 5/5Good Reliable Scanner With Great Features And Ease Of Use

   I’ve had this app since 2015 or 2016. I’ve never even bothered with trying any other scanner apps bc this one just simply works and has good quality features while being easy to use,one of my favorite features it has is being able to see all the different codes the PD uses and being able to know what they mean. Also the sound quality of the radio chatter is as clear as it gets making it easy to understand what’s being said. Overall just a good app if you want to know what’s going on in your town or city, weather it be the Police Department or Sheriffs Department or Ambulances or Firefighters or Highway Patrol or even Air Traffic Control you can listen in as long as want, you’ll hear some crazy stuff sometimes lol.

4. 4/5Great app but sometimes annoying alerts

   I want to start off by saying that this is one of the best scanner apps I’ve ever used, and I love that whenever something big is happening, users can chat with each other and an alert is sent out about the incident as it’s unfolding. HOWEVER, the alerts can sometimes be the most annoying thing in the world. Typically you get like one or two a day about active shootings, disasters, and the occasional chase. But every now and then the app will constantly spam you with the same exact alert over and over. I’m not sure if it’s a bug or meant to reach people in places with low service, but for example, since yesterday I’ve been getting around 20 notifications every single hour about some wildfire evacuation. Sometimes two in the same minute! I just checked settings and it told me that since yesterday I’ve gotten 370 notifications from this app. If there were more settings to filter alerts, or to stop sending alerts after like the third time, then it would be a definite 5 star app. But the notifications drive me up the wall sometimes.

5. 3/5*Needs a way to Send Favorites to the Watch App

   This scanner app could have been great if it only had a way to send searched and favorited links to the watch app as the watch app has no search and is stuck on only a few outdated nearby links as the watch app has not been updated in three years. The watch app also has no use of the watch’s speaker. I know this isn’t the watch app just letting owners what to expect of it. Also needs a lifetime subscription for a sales boost. Want to make money?? Add a lifetime subscription and watch support. There are better police scanner apps on the App Store that have a one time lifetime subscription. The developers of those apps are making a ton more money. No one wants a subscription. Again, needs as way to send its favorites to the watch app and the watch app needs to be fixed to used internal watch speaker. These fixes should be obvious. This could have been a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ app but is held back by a few small but great improvements. My review score will be adjusted as updates are released. I’m updating my review to ⭐️⭐️⭐️ because the developer emailed me back which is appreciated. I would like to see this app do well.
