   This is so informative, whenever I hear sirens & helicopters in the air close to my house I download this app and put in my area info and BAM there it is, you can listen in on what’s going on, it’s great. I like it because I can find out if they’re close to my house, this way I can be prepared for anything, like if someone is going to be running thru my backyard and whether the suspect or suspects have weapons, I’ll know to get inside and lock my doors. Last one I heard was a male who was close, not in my neighborhood, but in the area and he was on foot, carrying a small handgun and was on cocaine, last heard he was in a mobile home park, which is a pretty good distance from here. It gives you a lot of info, so go for it and have some fun listening in on the action.

2. 2/5Too many ads!!!

   This app used to be really efficient and easy to use. Listen to police and EMS scans from all over the world. But the developers have gone rouge with ads! It seems like every 2 minutes there is an ad break for a sketchy mobile game. Before you can even listen to a frequency, you have to sit through an impossible to skip ad, that won’t let you close out until you let it redirect you to the App Store. The channels close out too frequent nowadays as well. If you try and listen with your phone locked, it will close out the channel you are listening too. It will make you search all over again and sit though another stupid ad break! This app has gotten to be so inefficient. I’m going to look for another police scanner app that isn’t infected with ads for sketchy mobile games nobody plays !

   I’ve had this app for years. It definitely was better before but now there are so many ads it’s not even funny. When I go to use the app I usually switch through a couple channels and even though I just had an ad I get another one because I switched channels and if the channel doesn’t load so I back out and go into the channel again there’s another ad. Like I get it I’m using a free app but the amount of ads is just ridiculous. Also the way you look up the channels in ur town is pretty outdated, I downloaded another free police scanner app that with one click all the local channels are right there automatically and no crazy amount of ads. If this app worked better I wouldn’t have a problem buying it or paying a subscription.

4. 4/5Good for entertainment and safety.

   I find the radio station portion of this app very entertaining. I use some of the stations for background while doing house work or relaxing. The scanner channels can also be entertaining, but useful for safety as well. I am visually impaired and therefore make safety while walking or traveling my city a priority. I use the police scanner channels to troubleshoot. I listen for emergency activity in real time, and use that to avoid problem areas where I may be taking the bus or disembarking from our trolley system. My home is situated in a place where I may have to walk a long distance to catch the local train. I have used the app before to avoid problem areas in my walking path.

5. 1/5Free is no excuse for so many ads

   Just because the app is free doesn’t mean it’s ok to have commercials every two minutes . You ruined a great app with greed . Then when you’re trying to listen to a police call but a commercial comes on every time and mutes the call so u have to hear the commercial instead it defeats the purpose of the app, especially since u can’t even mute or skip the commercial. You ruined your own app with greed . I understand the need for ads but this is overkill. Cmon , an add every two minutes ? Can’t even finish one song without having at least 3 ad breaks and if it’s a rescue or police call? Then it’s an ad every two minutes and the call itself is muted till the ad is done so you miss the call . Good job ruining your app. Could have been the best app of this type in the App Store but you made it the worst because of ad revenue . You lost money and downloads by thinking you can get rich by using more ads in your app but instead people just uninstall it and get a better scanner app , one with a normal amount of ads in it instead of the mess you made on this ruined app .
