1. 5/5Remarkable Application. Easy to Use

   This app is excellent...and a real eye opener when it comes to what the nation's police forces face minute by minute. It is very telling of where the top crime areas are because this apps listeners flock to those cities (channels) with the most crime. After using this, I ask why would anybody need to buy a real scanner, except that some agencies might not be covered by this app. After listening to frequencies of the Top Ten of the Top 100 list, it is clear these cities would burn to the ground in a couple of days if their cops, firefighters, and emergency responders ever said "we're done" you deal with it. This app is also a great way to figure out where you should use extreme caution ...let alone think about living. The audio on most channels is amazingly clear and you can quickly get addicted and possibly depressed by listening to the non-stop drama. What is more telling is the fact that all the cities in the top ten are all run by Obama's minions like Apartheid Democrat Rahm Emanuel who runs Chicago....always at the top of the listener list due to the abject misery and crime in this city. This app is a telling and chilling blow by blow realtime saga of what is happening to people trapped in these Democratic Apartheid cities (DAC's). As an amateur anthropologist, this app provides a painful and scary insight into how law abiding people trapped in these killing fields cope minute to minute with violent crime. As said earlier, Chicago, Obama's home town, is top of the list. God help people living in these cities (especially Chicago) if their public safety people ever go on strike.

2. 5/5THIS APP USE TO BE A GOOD SCANNER APP !

   I have used this scanner app for years to listen to police and fire calls. I even paid $ to upgraded to 5-0 scanner PRO, but now the last two times I went to open it up to listen for a fire call in my area a full page ad pops up and doesn't allow the fire call to come thru at all, (audio or video) at the beginning of the call. So ya miss were that fire call is at totally .The developer has taken steps to stop the ads if you previously paid for the PRO upgrade. This is a fine pc of software without the ads and works very well. .UPDATE: A big thank you to the developers of this app for giving the answer to the problem people were having with the ads for people that purchased the Pro upgrade (ad free) years ago like I did and give us the ability to get rid of the ads with out having to pay anything additional. Like I said in my original review and I'll say it again, it's a very fine pc of software that works very well. If you like listening to emergency frequencies, you will love this app. Thank you again to developers !!!

   I’ve used a few apps for police/EMS scanners and this one is my favorite. I paid for the pro version which was worth the price to upgrade since I listen to the scanner activity for my city through an AirPod as white noise a lot. I listen while cleaning, working, and even fall asleep at night listening to it. I like that it doesn’t seem to drain my battery even while running almost constantly most days. It didn’t seem like there would be many added features with paying for the pro version but the enhancements it does have are worth the price. I like that it automatically connects to the last feed I was listen to and that I have the ability to customize the wallpaper. I also appreciate that it automatically reconnects if the feed is interrupted for some reason. Obviously the lack of ads interrupting the stream is the biggest improvement. Overall the interface is simple and easy to navigate and the one time I had a question, support was quick to respond with a solution. I recommend this app to people all the time and actually just learned recently that there must not be a version in the Google operating system which was surprising since this is such a popular app on iOS. Thanks for providing a great app.

4. 5/5If you want reliability and accuracy, this app works

   I use Waze and the 5-0 Pro (paid version, but only a few dollars to get timely feeds). Rarely am I not driving and do not get advance notice of where LEOs location. If you are into entertainment and just want to hear what is going on in your area, or anyplace really, it is top-notch. I have also been able to avoid immediately closed areas (exits, bridges, intersections, that even waze has not reliably reported. Pros: I listed them. It is #1 in quality of speed of info, sound (it can vary and squak loudly sometimes but that is radio) but mostly it just works if the grid of support works. Cons: As I mentioned, sound can sometimes vary a bit. When the FD/EMS chirps in, it can be a tad loud. Nothing big on sound. The only other issue I face is when re-establishing contact...as in I turn it off to walk into a gas station so people don’t think I am some undercover. When I try and establish contact again via my iPhone sometimes it is hesitant or has some repeating jargon of anything said. My correction is to swipe app and open another and then go back and it works fine. Overall, the service this app provides is helpful, makes me feel safer, and just fun to listen to especially once you have spent the time to learn what is being said. I use it everyday. And I am no salesperson for this company and cannot remember what the free app looked like, but the Pro version costs a few dollars once and you don’t get ads and, most importantly you hear things as real time as is legal.

   I grew up with a scanner in the house for my dad’s work. I can’t have one now because my husband can’t stand listening to them. Having this app on my phone means I can listen to the (I know this sounds weird) soothing sounds of police radio traffic on my headphones. I love that I can hear what’s REALLY going on vs the “spin” that’s put on things. I can listen to things that happen across the country. It helps me feel more in touch with what’s going on and has given me more respect for dispatchers and more understanding for *HOW* calls come in. This App does have limits. You will not be able to access any channels that are digitally encrypted. While I wish that all PDs had both non encrypted and secure encrypted channels, some places only have the encryption. If you have to call 9-1-1 you can’t listen to the radio traffic while on the phone...because well same phone (I know it seems obvious and nothing against the app...just a reminder-for other dorks like me) Police codes and Jargon can be difficult to understand, and can vary widely from place to place. The links the app provides aren’t very helpful with figuring that out. You need to do your own internet searches. Remember that it is a crime to use a scanner in the commission of a crime. It can also get you in to trouble if you get pulled over so turn it off while interacting. Sometimes channels get overloaded during big events and you can’t get on. (Think BLM protests, Las Vegas Shooting, CA wildfires) Not sure if there’s anything the app can do, but something to be aware of.
