1. 5/5Incredible for athletes, I’m a multisport athlete

   I’ve been using pliability for six months now regularly. Within the first month, deep seated kinks in my neck were released, and I could sleep on my stomach without neck pain. Second month, I could hold four minute stretches without being jumpy on the mat. Third month, my running times improved drastically and I noticed significantly fewer injuries. Fourth, fifth and sixth months, I was able to lift heavier weights in hiit classes. These are all the physical benefits, the mental benefits are equally as valuable. It has been a staple to my mindfulness practice and my ability to calm my mind and body out of anxious moments. It has also been a great companion when I need to find balance in my mind before I approach a work project or a personal project, or a difficult situation with other people. This app is not about looking good, it is about doing the exercises properly, listening to your body and taking the time to see improvements. The guide has a wonderful approach to this, with a calm voice and reminders every single time. They emphasize to be patient and not pushy, which is very important as an athlete. I’ve used many apps for stretching, rehab and recovery and Pliability has become increasingly important for my routine as a multisport athlete. Thank you Pliability! Love your attention to detail. The tone and pace for each session. And the persistence and consistency within the app itself. Thank you!

2. 5/5I can’t recommend this app enough!

   So a lil background on me. 46, college athlete, worked out my whole life. 5x+ per week crossfitter up to my 40s. I was honestly getting to the point I thought being an athlete was over. My back, hip, and knee hurt so bad all the time. Working out became miserable. I was always afraid of getting injured. 2.5 years ago my job owning a roofing company became truly miserable. I was in so much pain I couldn’t climb ladders. I thought I was forced to retire to the office and let the kids do the fun stuff playing out side. I’m happy to say that I honestly feel like I’m back to 100%. I work out like I’m in my 30s again. A mixture of Pliability, orthopedic house slippers, cutting out w33d and a diet low in gluten and other inflammatory foods has me feeling amazing. I recommend this app to EVERYONE!! I can tell how long it’s been since I’ve done pliability based on how much I hurt. ALSO - this is forced meditation. It has quieted my mind in a way I never expected. Trust me - I absolutely HATED the first month of pliability. Sitting there for what seemed like hours with nothing to do but listen to my monkey brain was absolute torture. But now it’s like a calming blanket over the fire of anxiety. This app will make you a better person. Give you a better soul and make you a stronger athlete. I sound like I have some financial interest in it but I promise I don’t. This app truly changed my life. Thank you so much to whoever put this together.

3. 3/5Ok, but frustratingly inconsistent and lacks variety

   The workouts in this app are essentially yin yoga, which I really enjoy. I feel less stiff after these routines. However, I’m constantly distracted by the inconsistencies in the workouts. Sometimes you get a full explain of the pose before going into it, sometimes you get a half explanation, and sometimes none at all. Sometimes they explain a pose fully and then the next pose they don’t explain at all. Sometimes they tell you have 30 seconds left in a pose, sometimes they stop their verbal countdown at one minute. Most annoyingly, though, are the errors. I just completed a workout where they didn’t announce how long a pose would be held for on one size and then when we went to the other side they said it would be held for one minute. The pose that they didn’t announce the time for was only held for 30 seconds (I went back to time it because I knew it was too short!), so you aren’t even getting an equal stretch! I’ve also heard them use different names for the same pose within the same minute. This is expensive enough of an app that I shouldn’t be having inconsistent sessions. Perhaps if the developers focus more on quality and less on quantity (they use like the same 7 poses in every routine anyway, why churn out so many?) I’d be happier.

4. 1/5Zero Star (read the fine print)

   If I could give zero stars I would, solely based on the refund policy and customer service. The company does not offer refunds and digging though the refund policy/contract that is signed, the company (based on your state) must give you an email within 35 days before renewal. I live in a state where it is law that the company must give you an email notifying you of the renewal. I emailed customer service about this to get a refund because I no longer wanted to use the service, the representative randomly said a state and said I lived there. I corrected them notifying them of my actual state of residence, and then the representative said that the state does not require a notification email of renewal services. A two second search showed that they were wrong and the state does require a written notification before renewal. The company needs a refund policy, not refunding someone the same day the were charged is crazy!!. If I could write a review without giving stars I would. Customer service is everything and for that reason I am giving the app/company ZERO stars!! I attempted to find a number to actually speak to a person and all I could do is find an email to the customer service department. I strongly recommend reading through everything and making sure if you cancel your service send a request via email and verify they cancel your account.

5. 4/5Terrible Font size choice : updated

   Trying to do the mobility test. Wow, terrible. I have an iPhone max with perfect eyesight (actually better than 20-20) and I can’t read the font. Why make it so small? Has anyone, ever been able to read it on their own? Do you even test your product? Let’s have you turn your head and then put items to read on your phone! So dumb. The regular exercises are actually good. I will use it for a month or two and see how it goes. My initial impression is it has potential, but the mobility test is a joke. Update: After using it for about a month, I really like it. Yes, the mobility test doesn’t work for me, but there is so much content here and it’s so much better than my initial experience . It’s hard for me to sit still and quite my mind but this app has really helped. I do see my flexibility starting to improve and as a 43yr old man with lots of stiffness, there is something to be said for that. After the first week I was a little lost what to do so I reached out to them and they were quick to respond on a good place to go for my next set of things to do, which was just the daily routine. I’m going to keep using it as it complements my usual exercise routine.
