5/5 Worse App on the App Store. 7/9 times opening the app, itll start, zoomed all the way out l, to where I can see the whole country, and all the pilots. 5/10 times I select a pilot icon, and it doesn’t release away from it, and prevents me from scrolling the screen, And locks the screenin into No-scroll-no zoom mode. Right now I open the app and it’s only display/ showing 3 pilots and nothing else on the location map. There is a bug…even before the update . The update did not change it. The app still runs bad. 🤷‍♂️ It’s Apr-25th-2026 today. I’m updating this review to say this is still the worst app five out of five stars the worst app. It doesn’t display any of the locations on my map besides a One location in Ohio. I have the location setting set to always allow It doesn’t let me scroll or zoom out until I wait like 25 seconds after opening the app and then it decides to finally allow me to. The only thing this app is good for is to scan your rewards card, check into showers, and that’s about it. I can’t use the navigation on the app. It doesn’t display any other locations. It’s updated like three or four times in the last week maybe. It wasn’t always like that though like it used to work fine but I almost completely stopped using this app. Unless I’m scanning my rewards card to buy a soda I’m never using the app when in comparison I used to use it like every day

3/5Good, but could be better.
Super handy and convenient, when it works. I would give this app 10 stars, if the mobile fueling worked more than 70% of the time. At random, the mobile fueling feature will not work. Everything is set up correctly, I have good service, I’m at a regular Pilot or Flying J that allows for mobile fueling. I’ve logged out and back in, deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone, and every other “fix” that’s suppose to solve the problem and nothing works. I’ll be able to reserve a shower or parking. But for absolutely no reason whatsoever, the mobile fueling just won’t work. As an over the road trucker, sometimes a few minutes can make all the difference between getting to a pick up or delivery on time or having to wait to the next day, and going through all 9 or 10 prompts at the pump takes forever. So it’s incredibly frustrating when a feature that’s advertised all the time on the app and at the pump just won’t work. This has been a problem for years. I’ve been a trucker for 2.5 years, and other drivers I’ve spoken to have had the same problem. As far as I know, it’s been a problem since they first launched the feature. But that’s only what I’ve been told. But I know for sure it’s at leafy a 2 and a half year old issue. As a company that as of 2023 was worth almost 20 billion dollars, you’d think they could pay someone to fix this issue.

3/5App functions okay, but content needs improving
First and foremost, there needs to be a “contact us about this store” feature like the Love’s app that sends a message to both the store and corporate. I don’t always want to speak to a manager, and I would feel better knowing a team at corporate is following up on the resolution to reported problems. If the messaging system were built into the app, you could preload it with certain topics (maintenance, cleanliness, food, parking, staff, other, etc.) and respond directly to drivers about the progress of the reported issue. It goes a long way when people feel heard and see results. I have encountered stores which have Reserve parking, but it doesn’t appear in the app. I have also been to a location that the app says has the enhanced WiFi experience, but it doesn’t. When I asked the store, the manager knew about the problem but the information in the app hasn’t been corrected. I called the main customer service number, but hung up after waiting on hold too long. For a few months, the app has said I have one notification, but nothing is indicated once inside the app. I have navigated to every page and even deleted and reinstalled the app and the “1” notification is still there. This is on an iPhone 6S Plus, latest iOS (currently 12.1), and latest myPilot app (currently 4.2.0).

1/5Garbage NEW APP functions within app
newest release in January 2026 is trash, followings are done advices as a pro-driver(using it more than once everyday) & developers we don’t use this app while sitting in a closed offices, if you change look, fonts, images that’s fine but you made this version harder to use than the last one, 1.) HOME PAGE, Fueling option had details of how many islands available & fueling, SHOWER: how many showers available or how many waiting, PRIME PARKING: how many available all this was on home page which was pretty easy to see before even tapping on the option itself. 2.) INSIDE fueling option: WHY “semi-truck & RV lane option”? + we don’t need to put all that info like trailer#, ODO reading etc no idea why you made those fields mandatory, SHOWER option, again gotta go inside reserve it but still can’t see any availability before booking as compared to last version, same with prime parking. 3 FIND option on bottom, SMH you open it, try to move map and you end up with giving-up. Others are moving towards how to make their app user friendly, but you are moving toward making a stinky trash can. And the best part is it keeps failing. Developers wake up before it’s too late that people fed up with this app lead to visting it or the PJ t.stops

4/5Barcode issues
I’ve had a really positive experience using the Pilot Flying J app. Over the past year alone, I’ve saved close to $60 on gas just by using the coupons, which adds up and makes it well worth having. The rewards and fuel discounts are the biggest reason I keep using it. The only issue I consistently run into is with the barcode screen. The account number displayed under the barcode is extremely small and difficult to read. Most of the stations I visit can’t scan the barcode, so I have to manually enter my account number each time, which is frustrating when it’s hard to see. I also can’t simply screenshot it and zoom in because the barcode disappears in the screenshot. If the app allowed the account number to be enlarged or copied easily, it would fix the one major usability problem I have. Overall, great savings and functionality, but the barcode and account number display definitely need improvement.

          "body": "5/5 Worse App on the App Store. 7/9 times opening the app, itll start, zoomed all the way out l, to where I can see the whole country, and all the pilots. 5/10 times I select a pilot icon, and it doesn’t release away from it, and prevents me from scrolling the screen, And locks the screenin into No-scroll-no zoom mode. Right now I open the app and it’s only display/ showing 3 pilots and nothing else on the location map. There is a bug…even before the update . The update did not change it. The app still runs bad. 🤷‍♂️ It’s Apr-25th-2026 today. I’m updating this review to say this is still the worst app five out of five stars the worst app. It doesn’t display any of the locations on my map besides a One location in Ohio. I have the location setting set to always allow It doesn’t let me scroll or zoom out until I wait like 25 seconds after opening the app and then it decides to finally allow me to. The only thing this app is good for is to scan your rewards card, check into showers, and that’s about it. I can’t use the navigation on the app. It doesn’t display any other locations. It’s updated like three or four times in the last week maybe. It wasn’t always like that though like it used to work fine but I almost completely stopped using this app. Unless I’m scanning my rewards card to buy a soda I’m never using the app when in comparison I used to use it like every day",

          "body": "Super handy and convenient, when it works. I would give this app 10 stars, if the mobile fueling worked more than 70% of the time. At random, the mobile fueling feature will not work. Everything is set up correctly, I have good service, I’m at a regular Pilot or Flying J that allows for mobile fueling. I’ve logged out and back in, deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone, and every other “fix” that’s suppose to solve the problem and nothing works. I’ll be able to reserve a shower or parking. But for absolutely no reason whatsoever, the mobile fueling just won’t work. As an over the road trucker, sometimes a few minutes can make all the difference between getting to a pick up or delivery on time or having to wait to the next day, and going through all 9 or 10 prompts at the pump takes forever. So it’s incredibly frustrating when a feature that’s advertised all the time on the app and at the pump just won’t work. This has been a problem for years. I’ve been a trucker for 2.5 years, and other drivers I’ve spoken to have had the same problem. As far as I know, it’s been a problem since they first launched the feature. But that’s only what I’ve been told. But I know for sure it’s at leafy a 2 and a half year old issue. As a company that as of 2023 was worth almost 20 billion dollars, you’d think they could pay someone to fix this issue.",

          "body": "First and foremost, there needs to be a “contact us about this store” feature like the Love’s app that sends a message to both the store and corporate. I don’t always want to speak to a manager, and I would feel better knowing a team at corporate is following up on the resolution to reported problems. If the messaging system were built into the app, you could preload it with certain topics (maintenance, cleanliness, food, parking, staff, other, etc.) and respond directly to drivers about the progress of the reported issue. It goes a long way when people feel heard and see results. I have encountered stores which have Reserve parking, but it doesn’t appear in the app. I have also been to a location that the app says has the enhanced WiFi experience, but it doesn’t. When I asked the store, the manager knew about the problem but the information in the app hasn’t been corrected. I called the main customer service number, but hung up after waiting on hold too long. For a few months, the app has said I have one notification, but nothing is indicated once inside the app. I have navigated to every page and even deleted and reinstalled the app and the “1” notification is still there. This is on an iPhone 6S Plus, latest iOS (currently 12.1), and latest myPilot app (currently 4.2.0).",

          "body": "newest release in January 2026 is trash, followings are done advices as a pro-driver(using it more than once everyday) & developers we don’t use this app while sitting in a closed offices, if you change look, fonts, images that’s fine but you made this version harder to use than the last one, 1.) HOME PAGE, Fueling option had details of how many islands available & fueling, SHOWER: how many showers available or how many waiting, PRIME PARKING: how many available all this was on home page which was pretty easy to see before even tapping on the option itself. 2.) INSIDE fueling option: WHY “semi-truck & RV lane option”? + we don’t need to put all that info like trailer#, ODO reading etc no idea why you made those fields mandatory, SHOWER option, again gotta go inside reserve it but still can’t see any availability before booking as compared to last version, same with prime parking. 3 FIND option on bottom, SMH you open it, try to move map and you end up with giving-up. Others are moving towards how to make their app user friendly, but you are moving toward making a stinky trash can. And the best part is it keeps failing. Developers wake up before it’s too late that people fed up with this app lead to visting it or the PJ t.stops",

          "body": "I’ve had a really positive experience using the Pilot Flying J app. Over the past year alone, I’ve saved close to $60 on gas just by using the coupons, which adds up and makes it well worth having. The rewards and fuel discounts are the biggest reason I keep using it. The only issue I consistently run into is with the barcode screen. The account number displayed under the barcode is extremely small and difficult to read. Most of the stations I visit can’t scan the barcode, so I have to manually enter my account number each time, which is frustrating when it’s hard to see. I also can’t simply screenshot it and zoom in because the barcode disappears in the screenshot. If the app allowed the account number to be enlarged or copied easily, it would fix the one major usability problem I have. Overall, great savings and functionality, but the barcode and account number display definitely need improvement.",
