   Every time I tried to do anything at all in this app, a message came up saying “Something went wrong, please try again later.” I closed the app for 30 minutes and came back to try again. Same problem continued. Closed the app for another 30 minutes, since “try again later” is all the message tells me. Still getting the same error and I have no idea why. Went to the developer website and tried to find help in the help center there, but their FAQ seems to have only answers to problems one might have if they never used a phone before in their life. So I tried to google it and see if anyone else was having this problem. Some people were, but no suggested solutions actually fixed it. Uninstalled & reinstalled the app twice after this. Never managed to successfully load an image into the app to do anything. And yes, I made sure that the necessary permissions were enabled. Im trying to use the app on a brand new iPhone 14 pro max purchased less than a month ago & running the most recent version of iOS, and I really have no idea why the app refuses to work for me. I wouldn’t be surprised if the developer responds to this review explaining why I’m stupid & it’s my fault, but I spent way too much time trying to get this app to just open a photo, and I’m giving up on it. Update; copying the same generic “this doesn’t sound right” message as a response to every negative review really makes me wonder if the developer even reads them. I won’t be emailing support; I decided I don’t want to use your app, so I rated it one star and deleted it. That rating won’t change & I won’t try it again.

2. 4/5Been using app since I believe 2019

   Anyways I've sunk a couple thousand hours into this app. I definitely love having more features added. I am pretty darn impressed how far back the save data goes for undoing things. The more advanced stuff is great. Sometimes though, I really wish I had some super basic stuff like a paint bucket option. I try to make do with the targeting tool but I really am not looking to get that detailed on some things. I also still think it would be nice to have more than 10 layers, I'm not sure if that's changed but I wrote about it a while back. I think the buy it for life option is pretty stellar in this trendy subscription service time we live in, nice to see. I dont have anything bad to say really. Add some basic stuff though. I save so many pictures and now I need to go through an additional catalog for just getting the photo in my camera roll. I just want to click the save button and continue what I'm doing. I cut out a lot of images too and on my tiny phone it would be cool have a quick way of emphasizing stuff that got missed when erasing. Anyways, I'm happy with this app overall its done me good especially because I've paid more than I normally would for a service to use this.

3. 1/5NEW UPDATE: We’re greedy now!

   Hi! I’ve been on this app for about as long as I’ve had my phone. I’ve loved this app for years, using it for every single one of my projects on the free version. Over the past couple months I’ve noticed the apps success, getting higher reviews and more popularity. However, this led to a couple updates that have caused the app to sellout, at first doing simple things that I find tolerable, such as only allowing a certain amount of AI avatars, but then adding updates like only allowing 2 layers? 2? Do you realize how limiting that is to your users? It wasn’t until I saw that the cutout tool was made for only premium that I had to write this review. Look here, light works your whatever your name is: on every single photoshop platform the cutout tool is free and REQUIRED for ANY photoshop project!! You can’t just get rid of that! That’s literally the most important tool!! Do you expect me to use scissors? You might as well change the apps status to a price tag if you really want to make money so bad. Just change the review filter to ‘most recent’ and you’ll see the effect your stupid changes have made on everyone. Anyway, you guys were great - but now you’re greedy. And your greed is insatiable. Sorry you had to go down this path. Also: Great job handling everyone’s feedback, we really feel heard by your copy and paste response!

4. 4/5Love the App…But, Here’s a few notes.

   I love love love this app but I would love to suggest some possible changes for streamlining this already great app. The app does an amazing job for graphic designers and all creators at being a tool to put down thoughts and ideas really quickly on their phone. However, The trash can next to an edge of an image that you have scaled down tends to get in the way. I am seconds away from throwing my phone sometimes when all my hard work of feathering a halo on an image and then poof* gone. Especially when there is no undo button for a complete delete. You essentially have to exit the whole process that you may or may not have taken some time with and then redo the whole thing. The other things are rather small but would be great for streamlining creative products. The zooming back out after some of the edit tools have been completed is a bit tasky and resetting back to the original eraser or paintbrush I just locked in is a bit of a pain. Maybe create profiles tag you can save per project. Not sure what that does to the memory or storage side but that would be a nice addition. Other than those I love this!! Buy it twice and charge me triple if still buy lol

5. 1/5Two years ago, this would have been a 5 star review, but they changed 3 layers to 2.

   Photoleap used to be a very well-balanced app. There were paid and free features, which makes perfect sense. If you want the full functionality of the app, get the paid version. If you want a very usable but limited version, keep it free. For years I have loved Photoleap, as they were a very waste to use, powerful, and functional program. Since then, however, the app has made one small change that completely ruins the free version. In the paid version you get twelve layers to work with, which is a lot. In the free version, you had three. Three is limiting but still powerful. You can get stuff done and do it well. Recently though, Photoleap reduced the free layers to two, which seems like a small change, but wreaks havoc on the way you use the app. Want an image with a bit of text on the top and bottom? You used to be able to put your image down, write your top text (second layer) and copy the layer to create matched bottom text. (Third layer) taking away the third layer completely removes the ability to copy effects. If you want a bunch of stars all over your image, you were able to copy them and bake them onto the photo layer. Now you have to individually recreate any edits to your stars because you can’t copy a second star. PLEASE give us back our third layer Photoleap. The free version is no longer useful which reflects the app poorly.
