1. 1/5The worst, if I could give this app no stars, I would, all day long…

   Two days, two days.. that’s all this trip was.. leave Boston on Tuesday, get to Orlando, pick up rental car, stay on hotel, attend relatives retirement party, leave Orlando, return to Boston on Thursday…! Nope, never happened, and the people I dealt with, at Orbitz and Expedia, were the worst! No customer service skills at all.. whoever runs this company, should go back to hack school and get a refund!! I booked and payed for this entire two day trip with my card, and I’m so sorry I don’t use three or four debit and credit cards.. I have an ex-wife, and that’s her job!!! After I payed for my trip in full, I get to Orlando, and doesn’t the unhelpful little gentleman in the booth tell me, “yep, you’re all set, just need a card number for a $500 hold to rent a car”? He said it was because I payed with a debit card??? Dollar rental, along with Orbitz, and their sleazy partner Expedia, took full advantage of me, if this was 30 years ago, I would have had my kids and wife with me, and it would t have gone so smoothly… these people owe me $$ for my auto rental, and I don’t care about anything else… and if they don’t refund me the money, this won’t be over, they could have mentioned it to me about a $500 hold?? But they already got their money, so screw the consumer right?? I’ve been in customer service for years, if some person in my company treated a customer like this, they would have been fired.. whoever hired these people, or trained them, should be fired… never again, will these clowns get my money… good job, idiots…

   I have been a member with this platform for over 10 years and made many orders from the App. Overall I am quite happy with using this app until the latest one I booked a hotel with it. Last weekend I was in a business trip to Fresno,CA and I wanted to book a hotel for my stay . When I input the hotel name it automatically popped up the hotel what I was looking for and I made a reservation on this App ( I didn’t notice the location was not around me In Fresno but over 200 miles away in Napa Valley) . In 20 minutes after I made reservation I realized I booked wrong hotel and then called hotel immediately, but I was told I have to contact to Orbitz team to cancel and refund. I instantly called the customer service team and also submitted the request through the live chat on app. The call center seems outsourcing in India or somewhere and no response for my request for nearly one hour. I called them again to push them and asked them if I can book another local hotel while they are still working on it. They just told me no worries they are waiting for the approval from the property . Later after I already checked in another hotel I received two emails from Orbitz. One saying there were still working on it and the other saying they already talked with the property (not the one I just booked and requested the cancellation but the hotel I stayed previously , what a mess! ) but unfortunately the property didn’t approve it . And next day I received another email saying they can’t refund the reservation which I didn’t even check in that hotel. So bad and disappointed with the service.

3. 1/5Liars. Misleading.

   I booked a trip to Thailand. First class. I spent $18,000. I canceled 2 of the 5 flights I booked and rebooked those 2 flights. I was told and emailed a refund confirmation. It has been 10 months with no refund. I have been getting the run around that they are “investigating “ my refund. I have submitted bank statements proving I never was refunded. They then claimed the refund was the airlines responsibility. Not true! Orbitz is a third party that is responsible for refunding my money. I posted on social media regarding this situation. I have had multiple customers reply to my post claiming Orbitz is a rip off and they don’t refund money for cancellations even when promised to do so. They stated that Orbitz blames the airline which is exactly what is happening to me now. Furthermore, several ex employees of Orbitz said this is standard business for Orbitz to have their employees drag out the refund process until the customer gives up on the refund. Absolutely disgusting. Orbitz is a company that takes advantage of people. They mislead, lie, misinform and blow off customers to keep their money. DO NOT USE ORBITZ! Book your trip directly through the airlines and hotels. DO NOT USE ORBITZ! You will never get your money back for cancellations. I have emails. Documentation of my refund promised but never given. Yet the airline owes me money. Yet my attorney says that Orbitz is the responsible party. DO NOT USE ORBITZ!

4. 1/5Horrible Customer Service!!

   First of all I’m a loyal customer to Orbitz I always use their services when it comes to my travels needs but not until March 17,2021 when I purchased car rental along with the insurance. When I tried to pick up my car at Payless in San Diego they said that they are franchise so they don’t take any car insurance from what orbitz has offer. They even told me to call orbitz to get the refund so I did call right away and they submitted the refund request. After 12 days I called them back to follow up on my refund the customer service from orbitz has no record at all on my case so they put me on hold for so long so they can contact Payless in San Diego they said that they never respond. I told them I paid orbitz why not just refund my money they said that they need to confirm with Payless. So they called again and emailed but no response. She ended up told me that once she receives an email from Payless they will refund right away just wait for an email. So It’s almost a month now I called them again to find out what is the status of my refund guess what same answer from Orbitz customer service no record at all on my 2 conversation and I had to go through the same process that they did before. This company is Horrible with their customer service!!!! they put me on hold again waited for more than 30 minutes still no refund.

5. 2/5First & last time

   I’ve used many other similar apps in the past without incident. My husband has a few days off so we decided to go away just him & I for 2 nights. I was a blank slate when I started to look for hotels. I didn’t even have a set location! I had 2 requirements, one, the room needed a balcony, two, the room needed to have a jacuzzi. This being said I began my search, I felt that I was fairly easy as I didn’t even care where I was going as long as it was within a few hours of home. I ended up on Orbitz somehow and booked a beautiful room that met my requirements. Upon receiving confirmation email I noticed that nowhere on any of the information I was sent did it say my room was to have anything more than a king size bed. I worried that we would arrive and be given a different room than pictured. I went onto hotel website and found room I booked, by use of pictures, I also noticed that the price of this room was more than $25 cheaper!!! I called Orbitz which was useless. They had a wait time of 4hours. I had to go through the booking site and use the chat bot to finally get a real person who could type back. He was unable to verify I would receive room pictured, he was very kind but was not too helpful. I was supplied a link to file a claim for the price difference. I can only imagine how that process will go, if this first experience says anything I’m fairly certain being refunded the overcharge will be ridiculous. To recap, be careful, you are not necessarily given room you are shown while booking. You should absolutely check the actual website for hotels to verify the pricing. I won’t be using Orbitz again.

   Not worth using the app often doesn't work - just book with the hotels or you will end up having to deal with their customer service reps and you DO NOT want to do that.

   cant figure out how to pick a hotel in a different city from the one im flying into. Flying into Phoenix and I want to stay in Sedona and all that is being listed are hotels in Phoenix. very frustrating.
