1. 3/5reward and propaganda app

   This is basically just a place to see your reward account, past purchases, and a ton of lists about why Natural Grocer is “better”. There is nothing truly useful in the app except maybe the coupons, but you can pick them up in a booklet by the door. I saw multiple signs saying to check out the mobile app exclusive coupons, so I downloaded it and…there are none. If you spent half as much time adding actual products as you did adding reasons why you think you’re better than other stores (who have offered item search, among other things, since before Covid…), you could have an actual functioning app. Instead they redirect you to Instacart, which isn’t available where I am. So they outsourced putting their items in an app and instead made this useless thing. It would be better to not offer an app at all than to offer it so poorly. Esp with how much you advertise it in store.

2. 5/5The positives matter

   This is the first time I’ve bothered to download an app for a grocery reward program. I shop at Natural Grocers a lot, so the reward system here really is helpful. I truly appreciate the coupons, and how easy it is to use them on the app. I’m also very interested in the fact that they have pages where I can access all of the back issues of their health, hotline magazine, as well as over 400 recipes, and then share them to my friends and family. There’s room for improvement, like any app, but just the fact that this exists is a good thing. On top of all that, I’d love to suggest a couple of things that they could add. I like the fact that there is a bingo game where you buy things to fill in the letters. However, I think they could go very far with sales and education if they created a quiz game that rewards you with coupons. I’ve also taken notice that other companies have shows on their apps to advertise their products and their missions. I would love to see such shows on this app, and I would totally play a game where I buy certain items or buy a certain amount during a certain time if it meant more and more episodes, not just so that I can watch them, but so that kids can watch them as well. Families might shop with the company more if they did it to unlock entertaining and educational content for their children.

3. 1/5Terrible app, no purpose

   This is a terrible app, it doesn’t work at all. No functionality, stability or purpose. App exclusive coupons never show up, the section is always blank. The few coupons that they do have are confusing. You can try to click on them, but the images are blurry and they don’t tell you exclusions like most coupons at other stores. My local store was having a 25% off sale today, but you had to “clip” the coupon in your app. I tried that and there was no coupon to be found. We deleted the app and reinstalled multiple times, kept changing my preferred store and it never showed up. The store couldn’t help either, they told me to call customer service and that I “might” get a gift card. I’m sorry, that’s not 25% off. I drove all the way down to this store to stock up on groceries on sale because everything is so expensive these days. I ended up walking out with only a few things. Very disappointed with the app and Natural Grocers. Apparently this has happened to other people too. At least the cashier offered me $5 off, but that was nowhere near 25% off. I probably won’t use the app or shop here again.

4. 3/5Good but could be (way) better

   First, THANK YOU for finally making this app. It is already leaps and bounds ahead of the website but to be fair, that’s not saying much. It’s still not very user friendly to access rewards. It should be a big bold navigation icon straight to rewards since that’s what most people are going to use the app for. Also, there should really be a “clip all” button. It took me several minutes to load all of my coupons in. Lastly, the side menu doesn’t make sense from an end users perspective. Having the about us section at the top isn’t good design. Put the features and navigation at the top that will be used the most, I.e rewards, coupons, upcoming promotions, etc. There’s a lot that y’all could do to make this a stellar user experience and it wouldn’t take too much. The bones are there and that’s the hard part.

5. 1/5Needs improvement

   My favorite place to shop but the app needs improvement. I’ve spent thousands of dollars here and always put in my number- yet that doesn’t show. I can “clip” the coupons .05% back is more of a hassle than a reward- and the person at the register never knows how to apply it. So I’ve never actually been able to use any coupons or receive and money off for “putting in my phone number” or “clipping coupons”. This app is a failure and needs serious improvement. It’d be nice to actually be able to use the coupons with ease and not have to be a Karen that needs a manager- only to be told it can’t be used and there’s nothing they can do. Bring back how natural grocers use to be… before they started pushing their own brands so much and really helped out their customers. The people working in the stores arnt the problem. The people running the company are. Improve this apps functionality so I can save my $2 per $200 please.. sheesh.
