2. 3/5Good but Annoying.

   Honestly the quality of the sound machine is outstanding as well as the light settings. However, the volume & brightness controls on the app are truly awful. It’s incredibly frustrating to have to swipe up and down and hoping it lands on just the right setting to not wake up the baby. This is because it takes a few seconds for the app to the transmit changes to the device. Also, if your finger slips and you accidentally touch higher up on the volume or light scale, it’ll immediately jump up from whatever setting it was, to the new spot where your finger touched. Meaning your volume could go from 20% to 100% instantly. This is particularly frustrating when you’re sleep deprived at 4 am and you accidentally startle your infant awake. All in all, I wish the app allowed you to change the setting in which you could adjust your controls gradually. Having more control over this would be beneficial as these are not as easy to use as I think the developers thought they would be.

3. 3/5Mostly Good with Room for Improvement

   I like the favorites and the light. The sound is high quality. The light can get very bright and vibrant. I like that it can be used as an audio monitor (this is the main differentiator since it also plays sound). Things I wish could be better: 1) a way to dim the clock numbers since they are VERY bright - there is no way we could have it in our master. 2) improve the audio monitoring which is still in “beta” - occasionally the listening mode will drop out and again this is really the key feature. 3) track the cry alerts like how the camera does - yes, there is a phone notification, but then you cannot see a history of alerts in the app which is helpful if you have a care giver. 4) implement a way to truly only have Amber or Red light since Blue light is bad for babies sleep pattern. 5) integrate it better with the camera app - having two apps is annoying. I guess you’ve made it so you can switch between the two but when you have a care giver… it’s just one more thing.

4. 3/5Needs improvements

   My son loves the light colors and to sleep with the Nanit sound machine, but I would love it if it could also be controlled in the Nanit Home Screen. That way whoever is at home with my son can easily control both the Nanit monitor and sound machine with one device. Also, for future generations of the light and sound machine it would be great to have the ability to toggle through all the light colors and sounds with the buttons in the back of the machine. Again, so whoever watches my son can turn it on easily. I like the programming function too, but some people are not that tech savvy. For those who are, I did enjoy the pre-programmed option, but we had it for 19 months before we figured out that was a function.

5. 5/5The best thing EVER

   This sound light machine has been amazing since we brought our little bean home. 10 months later and it goes to grandparents, planes, Xmas trips, etc. I even loved it for the first 6 weeks that she slept in our room, I almost kept it 😂 I love that you can toggle the sounds/light and she now registers morning sound. When I go into breast feed at night I keep the light soft and red and it’s so perfect. I have even used this lying in my bed at 3am and out the “shh” sound on and she fell back asleep. GAME CHANGER. Parent hack for LIFE.
