   Not long ago the MyUPMC app was updated to give more access to pages you could access online but were unavailable in the app. During this update they also removed the in app functionality of messages and appointment notifications. Now when you tap on anything it takes at least 10 seconds to open a browser window and load the content you’re looking for. Compile this with the multiple messages before and after every appointment (messages that I’ve already read bc they were forwarded to my actual email address) and it’s nearly impossible to clear out the clutter in the notifications to locate information that’s actually important and helpful. The web portal pages have no “mark all read” feature, and the notification tab in the app has no “clear notification” functionality. They’ve taken an app that made electronic health records easy to access and complicated every click/tap needed to engage. The website is no better. Three clicks to get to the new letter/message - filed deep in a overly complicated filing system. Poor execution of a good idea.

   You need to fix the questionnaire so if you’re Going to want the questions answered each time they clear. The way it is now you have to hit the answers twice-after first hit it says that has to be answered so you have to hit it again to answer the question. It should either clear or, if answers haven’t changed, you should be able to hit continue. I have called I detest myupmc. I have never had a good experience with it. I constantly complain to the one who answers the phone and my problems are with the program and I can’t get thru to them. I detest myupmc. I have never had a good experience with it.    I love the app . I very much dislike Upmc Passavant in McCandless right now. A male muted can’t to a full waiting room and called by full name first and last which is against hippa Also a neighbor who was there or works there is now asking neighbors why I was at the hospital! Also against Hippa. Something is very wrong at the particular location at this time. It may be all UPMC locations but I have been to this one a few times in the last month and was very dissatisfied. You are moved from waiting room to waiting room. My time is just as important as the staffs . I was there for over 5 hours and several staff members not doing much. Very disappointing. I am seriously thinking about changing my insurance to AHN.

4. 5/5AWESOME ENT care and your webpage makes it so easy to manage appts

   We live in Sandusky, OH — 3 hour drive — we found your ENT department about 4 yrs ago through a friends research. We connected with Dr Schaitkin and he regularly treated my wife Susan for a serious Parotid gland issue through regular treatments and medical procedures. Upon Dr Schaitkin retirement last August, Susan was assigned to Dr Sridhanan who has taken over Susan’s care and is also marvelous. Yesterday Oct 28, Susan had an appt scheduled for an important treatment with Dr Sridhanan and we had to cancel at last minute in the morning as Susan had to take me husband Michael to our local Emergency Room in Sandusky for an issue that was resolved yesterday. Susan’s Parotid appt gland issue was something did want to cancel but she insisted to take care of me. We tried to reschedule by phone and had to wait for call back within 24/48 hrs. So this morning I thought to go to the app and see if could schedule since was urgent to have the treatment. So easy, I went on and everything was there to reschedule and was able to get an appt for next Monday. Just wanted to share such a positive experience all around care. Everyone that we interact with has been amazing during Susan time as a patient from scheduling to office staff, nurses, doctors, etc.

5. 1/5Update or Support?!

   UPDATE: Where’s the new update? There has been a notice in the Messages tab on the app since end of summer that they were updating to a new login. It specifically mentions dates the end of September but now we’re into the end of November and patients here in SWPA - the heart of UPMC - are still waiting to see this new portal come to fruition. | I have had continual problems with receiving notifications and emails from this app. I missed the opportunity to have a video visit last week bc of this. I have emailed support several times now with photos of my settings and details about it my phone even and still just get sent a copy/paste reply with info about turning on notifications. We’re not idiots, we asked for help to fix your app! Something is not working. I’m trying one more time with support and then if I get no help I will be filing a complaint if this is not resolved. I should not be having these issues trying to communicate with medical care & getting no assistance.
